Hear It From Dante Moore: 'I'm Locked in to Oregon'
Dante Moore is reportedly still trying to recruit top players to Oregon, which is always a good sign. It appears that Dante's Detroit Kings are in the championship game again. Best of luck to Dante and his teammates as they try to repeat as champions. Mlk Varsity Boys Football | Michigan High School Athletic Association WWW.MHSAA.COM

Bo Nix: Does This Mean He's Leaving?
If Bo Nix is done, I would like to wish the young man the best in his future endeavors. It has been a pleasure watching him play this season. Bo has proved the doubters wrong and made Oregon’s offense fun to watch again. He is the main reason that the Ducks were in the playoff conversation late in the season and have a shot to win the conference. God speed.

B1G Media Revenue/School - Significantly Less Than Originally Estimated
Per Canzano’s latest article: “The Big Ten’s media rights distributions were grossly inflated when they were initially released this summer. The real distribution figure is an annual average of $62.5 million, per school, less than the $72 million or $80 million figures that were originally leaked.” Canzano: Humility is good medicine for a coach (and us all) WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Candid and authentic... wins every time.

Travis Dye Injured, Season-Ending
I am still pissed that Travis Dye transferred to USC. USC?!!! Couldn’t have picked any other school?! I was hoping the Ducks could abut down Travis in the PAC-12 championship and blow out the Trojans. That said, it’s sad to see Travis injured. By all accounts, he is a terrific young man. I hope that he is able to heal and pursue his dreams.

Recruiting News Thread - Updates
And DAT didn't stop once he got to Oregon.. The most explosive player in Oregon football history.

Recruiting News Thread - Updates
Trech is shifty but not nearly as fast as DAT (very few are). My first thought was that he would be a good potential replacement for Chase Cota in the slot and a good punt returner. For those of you who do not remember what DAT was doing in high school, I leave you with this gem. His highlight real was like a video game. Unreal. So glad that he chose to play for Chip Kelly at Oregon!

Latest Coaches Poll Prove Oregon Benefitted
LOL. What Coach joined Jim Harbaugh in voting Michigan #1?

Washington Game: 4:00 on FOX
I also prefer the 12:30pm PT kickoff slot but the slightly later time gives fans, especially students, more time for pre-game beverages..

Dilly’$ Offen$e
Not sure if Coach Dillingham would be more interested in an NFL OC or college HC but the consideration speaks volume for the job he is doing in Eugene. Oregon’s offense is fun again and that is due to Dillingham and Bo Nix. I am enjoying every minute of it. Personally, I hope that Dillingham and Nix come back to Eugene for “ONE MORE YEAR.” But, if not, hopefully Lanning has some potential OCs in his notebook.

Recruits Get An Amazing Experience
It’s all about the atmosphere, not how many people are sitting in the stands. “I think Autzen Stadium. Per person, the Oregon stadium is the loudest stadium I’ve ever been in.” - — Lee Corso, ESPN GameDay.

UCLA Weekend: Recruits Who Are Visiting
Perhaps these fit into your list but I would assume that gameday atmosphere (#3?) and track record of sending players at your position to the NFL (#1?) would also matter to recruits.

Utah Beats USC 43-42! Game Thread
They do realize that USC is leaving the conference?

Utah Beats USC 43-42! Game Thread
What happened to USC’s wide receiver?

Utah Beats USC 43-42! Game Thread
USC’s QB has really poor body language when he faces adversity. I noticed it in the Oregon State game, as well.

I Need Feedback From FishDuck Friends...How to Approach This?
Could you set up a rule that if x number of posters report the post as inappropriate then the post is hidden until a moderator is able to review the content? I don’t think that you should spend time sending all violators emails. Just re-word or delete the post if it’s minor.

I Need Feedback From FishDuck Friends...How to Approach This?
This is a really tough question. I don’t think it’s ever okay to call current players or coaches derogatory names/nicknames or comment about personal beliefs/issues/looks. My preference would be that this would be extended to former players, coaches and opposing teams because I personally don’t believe that this behavior represents the University of Oregon well, and as you mentioned player’s and potential recruit’s families and friends read these message boards. I wouldn’t be surprised if players themselves looked from time to time, although I would advise them to avoid all media/social sites. Criticism of a play or call seems like it should be allowed, as long as it’s professional and not personal. I prefer to leave out a player’s name or number, when possible, because they are young adults trying their best. No one should be more upset about a mistake or bad play, as the player themselves. The coaches should be reviewing game tape with the players and teaching them from their mistakes. Just my take.

PAC-12: You Better Get Your Rear in Gear, or May You Rest in Peace
Thanks for posting the article. It’s seems short-sided (and old school) to me that media companies are focusing on media market size vs. TV ratings. Where do Alabama and Norte Dame rank in terms of media market size?

Jahlil Florence Next Lockdown?
The announcers mentioned that Gonzales was matching up against Arizona’s best receiver, even if he lined up in the slot and that Gonzales was working on that this past week. Oregon sure got a great cover corner in the portal.
-
Jahlil Florence Next Lockdown?
Manning has looked good too. Time to play the young corners opposite Gonzales.
-
Jahlil Florence Next Lockdown?
I hope Florence gets more playing time. I’m not a big fan of one of Oregon’s starting CBs and think he would be better off at safety. He’s big and a really good tackler but is completely lost in pass coverage. Florence flashed his potential in pass coverage and looked fast. Hope he learns as much as he can from Gonzales this year.

What is the Issue With Ty Thompson?
Some players look amazing in practice and then there are gamers. I’d like to see what Butterfield can do because he looked good in the spring game. He deserves a shot and I’d be bummed to see him transfer from Oregon without seeing what he could do on the field. I’ve never been a fan of the other QB. He has a strong arm but he looks like a deer in the headlights come game-time and makes questionable decision and questionable decision.

What Mario Did Right: Alex Forsythe
I completely agree that Mario deserves a ton of credit for recruiting and developing the O-line. It’s one of his strengths. Hopefully our current staff can keep up the recruiting on both lines, as that is how championship teams are built.

Mario Attempts to Attend Spencer Webb's Memorial
Very classy of Mario. Too bad his flight was canceled and he couldn’t attend. It’s time for Oregon fans to move on. Mario got the opportunity to coach at his alma mater, where he won 2 national championships. I can’t fault someone for chasing their dreams and doing what they think is best for them and their family. By all accounts, he worked extremely hard while at Oregon, and left the cup board full for our new coaching staff. I wish him well at Miami except when recruiting head to head against Oregon.
