  1. Urban Meyer. Dude is a scumbag but he wins everywhere he goes. Chris Petersen if he were willing to coach again. Obviously, really good coach. Hopefully, USC continues to look for former Trojans or the flashy hire despite the fact that two of their legendary head football coaches were Ducks.
  2. Or does this mean Oregon expects a certain 5-star CB to commit?
  3. I've lost a lot of respect for Klatt this season: 1) He is still fixated on Oregon's struggles earlier in the season against Idaho and Boise State and fails to recognize that teams can improve/get better throughout the season (note: in the transfer portal era, this may become the norm) 2) He does not watch the games or dig deeper (e.g., Oregon's offensive line struggles were due to injury and having to find the right group, BSU's Jeantry had a couple of big runs but was contained most of the game) but just relies on the box score
  4. Dan Lanning Weekly Press Conference | October 21, 2024
  5. Ducks vs Them | 2024 Oregon Football Game 7 | “The Noise Doesn't Matter” Coach Lanning: "The definition of a real team isn't defined by what other people think. Why, we could care less about what other people think, in this room. We don't care about the opinions of others. In a great team, what they recognize is what they can still improve." FEBU! In Coach Lanning, I trust!!!
  6. I love the optimism but suggest that we wait to see how the season plays out before proclaiming the 2024-25 Oregon football team the best in school history. We have had some really good teams over the past couple of decades but have never "gotten over the hump." My personal favorite Oregon Ducks football team was the 2007 Dennis Dixon led team. I had no doubt that that team was the best team in college football and would win the national championship, before DD crumpled to the turf with a knee injury. Devastating.
  7. Can we just end the college football season now?!!!!
  8. USC and UCLA are tied for second to last place in the B1G with a 1-3 conference record. Purdue is in last place at 0-4. I guess if you are going to suck, it’s better to do it with a lot of $$$$$$?
  9. Shhhhhhhhh. That doesn’t fit the national narrative…
  10. As Joey Harrington says: “It doesn’t matter.” We have over a month of football remaining and conference championships. With the expanded college football playoffs, we’ll get to settle it on the gridiron. Does Oregon deserve to be #1? Yes, we are undefeated with two wins over top 20 teams, including the former #2 (and still top 5) team. Are we the best team in the country? No one knows but hopefully we’ll have a chance to find out. I do believe that Oregon can beat any team in the county if they play their A game. Hopefully Oregon can stay healthy and continue to improve (become more consistent).
  11. Mariota finished 18-23 (78.3%) for 205 yards (8.9 yards per completion) with 2 TD and 0 interceptions. The Commanders won 40-7. This is what a lot of Duck fans were hoping to see and I hope that MM makes the most of the opportunity and gets another shot somewhere.
  12. LOL. Coach Day would be fired immediately after the game, before he can address the team, and escorted out of the stadium by security!
  13. "3. The tied teams will be compared based on record against common opponents with the best conference record and proceeding through the common conference opponents based on their order of finish within the conference standings." Guess that Oregon will have to continue to win and hope that Ohio State does the same!
  14. After they and most national pundits picked Ohio State the weekend before. I might have to join Charles and place a bet for the opposite team, the next time I see them all pick one team in their final selection...
  15. LOL. Coach Lanning has too much respect and admiration for Coach Smart for that to happen.
  16. Wilcox is a good DC but a mediocre head coach. Those people that wanted Oregon to hire him as the head coach wouldn't have even mentioned his name as a potential candidate, if he weren't a former Duck player.
  17. He is a young coach and was frustrated after the game. I'm sure that he'll learn from it. That said, I would be pissed if I were the player's parents.
  18. And to think that some Duck fans, alums and former players wanted him in Eugene instead of Lanning...
  19. Kenny Dillingham apologizes for comments about kicking game ARIZONASPORTS.COM Arizona State coach Kenny Dillingham apologized for his postgame comments on the kicking game after Saturday's 24-14 loss at Cincinnati. KD is a class act. I'm cheering for him in the Big-12.
  20. ON3: NEW College Football Playoff Rankings | Oregon #1? | Georgia SURGING | Where Is Texas, Miami? Has Penn State #5, Texas #4, Georgia #3, Ohio State #2 and Oregon #1 in "college football playoff rankings"
  21. LOL. And ran off the final 10 seconds...
  22. Surprised that Coach Lanning didn't rank the Ducks lower to bring down the average. LOL. Perhaps he is one of the two coaches that voted Georgia #1 (maybe Sark is the other)? Someone should ask him to share his rankings this week during one of his press conferences or media interviews.
  23. As long as they don't pronounce it "Or-E-gone"!
  24. More Trojan tears....
