Georgia at Alabama, the First Game of the Year This Season
Not many teams had success against Saban. Luckily for Georgia and every other team, Saban is now on the set of ESPN College Gameday every Saturday. It's too bad we never got that Chip Kelly vs. Nick Saban matchup, when Kelly was running the uptempo spread offense at Oregon (and Nick was complaining that it wasn't fair). Bama would probably have won but it would sure have been entertaining.

USC Fans Blame the Officials for Loss to Michigan
There should be no conference officials. All conference referees should be hired, trained and employed by the NCAA.

Cam Ward Has Turned Miami Into a Contender...
I wanted Oregon to sign Cam Ward before Dillon Gabriel became available. He’s a very talented QB.

The SEC is over-rated. The UCLA game was a lot closer than the score.

USC's defense made an adjustment in the 2nd half and forced Michigan to beat them passing the ball. They couldn't do it. Even the last drive was all run. Michigan has a very one dimensional offense.

Herbert Questionable For Game Against Steelers Tomorrow
Given how much the Chargers have been running the football this season, I wonder if they'll tape the heck out of it and give it a go.

Holy Crap! Oregon About to Flip a Rivals 5-Star?
Music to my ears. We've seen how important the offensive line and depth is this season through 3 games. It's one of the positions you really have to recruit and develop high school talent, only occasionally plugging a hole with a transfer. Glad to see the coaches prioritizing the position this recruiting cycle.

Oregon’s Roster Rotation: Have YOU Figured it Out?
Great observations and questions! Despite some denying it, there are players who are "gamers." Players who do not possess the raw, spectacular athletic ability/physical traits that jump off the screen or look the best in practice, but when the bright lights come on they perform at another level. I'm guessing that is what we are seeing with Strother and Boettcher, in particular. I've always loved how Boettcher plays the linebacker position. He's a throwback linebacker - he's really good at reading/recognizing the play, getting in the right place and always seems to make the play (e.g., tackle, pass breakup). He is also a veteran and can provide leadership. You need players like this on your team. Credit to the coaches for recognizing and playing those players who are performing during the games. I'm not sure what you do with the offensive line, once healthy, on one had you want to play the best players but, given the OL has to play as one unit, there is merit to have a consistent group out there. It'll be interesting to see who starts against UCLA and how they perform, as a unit.

Washington State beat San Jose State by 2 in OT, proving that Washington football belongs in a mid major conference (e.g., Pac-12)...
