The announcers mentioned that Gonzales was matching up against Arizona’s best receiver, even if he lined up in the slot and that Gonzales was working on that this past week. Oregon sure got a great cover corner in the portal.

Manning has looked good too. Time to play the young corners opposite Gonzales.

I hope Florence gets more playing time. I’m not a big fan of one of Oregon’s starting CBs and think he would be better off at safety. He’s big and a really good tackler but is completely lost in pass coverage. Florence flashed his potential in pass coverage and looked fast. Hope he learns as much as he can from Gonzales this year.

Some players look amazing in practice and then there are gamers. I’d like to see what Butterfield can do because he looked good in the spring game. He deserves a shot and I’d be bummed to see him transfer from Oregon without seeing what he could do on the field. I’ve never been a fan of the other QB. He has a strong arm but he looks like a deer in the headlights come game-time and makes questionable decision and questionable decision.

I completely agree that Mario deserves a ton of credit for recruiting and developing the O-line. It’s one of his strengths. Hopefully our current staff can keep up the recruiting on both lines, as that is how championship teams are built.

Oregon's Bo Nix is Getting Heisman Buzz After Fifth Straight Win

Bo Nix has another season of eligibility due to the COVID year. I hope he comes back to Oregon for one more year. -
Mario Attempts to Attend Spencer Webb's Memorial
OregonDucks replied to 47sgs's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Very classy of Mario. Too bad his flight was canceled and he couldn’t attend. It’s time for Oregon fans to move on. Mario got the opportunity to coach at his alma mater, where he won 2 national championships. I can’t fault someone for chasing their dreams and doing what they think is best for them and their family. By all accounts, he worked extremely hard while at Oregon, and left the cup board full for our new coaching staff. I wish him well at Miami except when recruiting head to head against Oregon. -

Can QB Development Improve Under Dillingham?
OregonDucks replied to Smith72's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
“One of the biggest weak spots for the Oregon Ducks over the past couple of decades has been the ability to recruit and develop quarterbacks in the system.” Perhaps it’s a typo but Oregon has a history of developing some pretty dang good QBs under Bellotti and Chip. Hopefully, Oregon can get back to that and bring back the exciting offense to go along with one of the most dominant defenses in college football! -
Canzano: Here's Hoping the Rose Bowl Makes It
OregonDucks replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What is the appetite of the Pac to have anything to do with the B1G after they poached the LA schools and tried to kill the conference? I'm sure that all of the other conferences would be very interested in the Rose Bowl... -
On July 21 UC Board of Regents to Discuss UCLA's Move to Big Ten
OregonDucks replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
LOL. And if/when the LA schools leave the PAC-12, the remaining 10 schools will need to cut sports, including UCLA’s sister school Berkeley. -
Sources Saying Pac-12 Schools Will Stick Together
OregonDucks replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
How have those schools used equal revenue share over the decades to become competitive today? Teams should keep a larger share of their football playoff and NCAA basketball tournament distributions, as a reward for investing in those teams and having the success on the field/court. -
Pac 12 and Big 12 TV Deals Rights Advisors
OregonDucks replied to curtisd316's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I still think that a Pac-10 / Big XII merger would be the last option. I would much prefer a partnership with the ACC due to the strength of the top programs in the ACC. I’d rather the PAC-10 try to go it alone. The conference could either go back to a round robin schedule to determine the champion or reduce the number of conference games so that teams could schedule tougher out of conference games. -
Jordan Addison Not Happy With Trojans?
OregonDucks replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I hope that Riley and staff are eventually investigated for tampering or illegally reaching out to players. He is as sleazy as USC. Word will also spread that Riley and USC do not keep their recruiting promises and cannot be trusted. Past Oregon coaches avoided making promises for this very reason. They only committed to giving a recruit an opportunity to compete, etc. I’m sure that Oregon could make the room for another WR... -
Young’s Instagram Now Shows a Commitment to…
OregonDucks replied to AllOregon's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Please don’t do that to me...you had me ecstatic for a few seconds. Singing Moore and Young would be a dream class. -
What's the draw of Oklahoma State for the SEC? They already have Oklahoma. Seems like there are much bigger fish in the ACC.

What is so Special About Notre Dame Football?
OregonDucks replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't know but I believe that perception of the program among high school recruits and coaches, consistent success on the field and interest/viewership are more important (note: these are all related). -

There is probably a reason the B1G, ACC and Pac-12 did not include the Big XII in the "alliance." I believe that the Big XII is the last option for the Pac teams, including the Arizona schools, Utah and Colorado. The other Pac schools should wait to see how things shake out and explore all of their options. It's not like the Big XII is going to say "no thanks" in 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years.

Don't forget about Stanford. Can't believe that they've disappeared.

Oregon Ducks get commitment from QB Dante Moore, No. 8 college football recruit for 2023 WWW.ESPN.COM QB Dante Moore, who is the No. 8 overall recruit in the 2023 ESPN 300 and the No. 3 pocket-passer, has committed to play for... "'I called Coach Dillingham and asked if they were joining the Big 10, and he said they didn't know yet,' Moore said. 'Coach Lanning and all the coaches and everybody didn't have much input on it, but if they do join them or join the Big 12 or whatever it is, I know we'll be in a big conference for us to keep competing and be the best we could be.'" ------------------------------------------------------------- I would be shocked if Coach Lanning was not being kept in the loop on conference re-alignment and asked for his thoughts. Usually you'll keep your top employees informed and ask for their input, so that they feel a part of the process, especially since conference realignment is being driven by football.
