  1. I'd say Rob has done a pretty good job of scheduling games. Nobody is perfect. It is hard to schedule 7-10 years out and you need somebody to agree to the games. Of course, Florida scheduled Utah and Wisconsin scheduled WSU, because at the time Utah and WSU weren't good. WSU was originally scheduled to play Wisconsin in 2014 and 2015, but got moved to 2022 and 2023. We can't penalize Rob because of the fiasco the Pac 12 has become. If USC/UCLA doesn't leave, nobody is complaining about the Ducks playing Texas Tech, Oklahoma St. or Baylor as not being big enough. 2010 Tennessee 2011 LSU 2012 Fresno St. 2013 Tennessee 2014 Michigan St. 2015 Michigan St. 2016 Nebraska 2017 Nebraska 2018 Bowling Green – was supposed to be Texas A&M 2019 Auburn - Was supposed to be Texas A&M 2020 was supposed to be tOSU 2021 tOSU 2022 Georgia 2023 Texas Tech - scheduled in 2016 2024 Texas Tech -scheduled in 2016 2025 Oklahoma St. - scheduled in 2018 2026 Oklahoma St. - scheduled in 2018 2027 Baylor - scheduled in 2017 2028 Baylor - scheduled in 2017 2029 Michigan St. - scheduled in 2018 2030 Michigan St. - scheduled in 2018
  2. Trash talking is part of the game these days. However, you can definitely go beyond trash talking and display poor sportsmanship. To pile on Angel Reese, she went from trash talking to poor sportsmanship real quick. If she had done a single John Cena "can't see me" action and pointed to her finger, that would have been OK. However, to repeatedly do it and follow Caitlyn Clark around for nearly 10 seconds moved it into poor sportsmanship. Caitlyn Clark did the John Cena "can't see me" action after the Louisville game, but didn't follow around an opponent and did it a single time.
  3. @Jon Joseph The Aztec coach is good, but he is 63. I'd prefer somebody younger. I wouldn't mind Shaka Smart, the Marquette coach, but he has only been there for 2 seasons. He was previously at Texas for 6 seasons. I don't think he is a coach that will stay in some place for a long time. I'd like some young guy that could be at Oregon for 10+ seasons. I don't know college basketball coaching well enough to even throw a name out there.
  4. Altman has always been hot and cold with me. He is a "grinder" in my opinion with his coaching style. When he first got here, he would get 1 or 2 grad transfers and would slowly build his team to peak in March. I haven't ever been a huge fan of his offense. When it runs cold, it is frigid. Then we had Brooks, Dorsey, Boucher and Bell and expectations changed. I think Altman is a very good to almost great coach, but the last two seasons have me wondering if his coaching style will work with the new landscape. His success with 5-star players is terrible. I'm not sure how it compares to other coaches, but maybe not go for the 5-star guys. If we lose Altman, I have no idea who I would want as a replacement.
  5. You really need to listen to her interview with Canzano. She took her bill from her football league while her son was in high school. Coaches, AD and Principal were held responsible for poor fan behavior. She never thought it would make it through without changes. That isn't how bills work at city or state level.
  6. BYU doesn't allow its athletes to play sports on Sunday. Baseball and Softball are 2 main sports that routinely play on Sunday. I'm surprised the Big 12 are OK with altering their entire sport schedule around 1 school.
  7. Stanford needs to stop whining about admission issues. They aren't the only P5 school with high entrance standards. Plus, I have seen the low end of admission GPA and ACT/SAT scores. They are on par or below a lot of other Pac 12 schools. Stanford has willfully chosen not to take Men's basketball and football seriously.
  8. 3300 attendance is bad, but the product on the court is what caused that low number. Put a better product on the court and more fans will show up.
  9. I heard it live on the radio. Janelle Bynum wants the football game experience to go back being fun for the whole family and for the players. It sounded like she didn't have a problem changing who is accountable for bad behavior, only that she wanted bad behavior to be removed. John Canzano straight up told her the head coach and AD can't be held accountable, because they can't stop it. Canzano pretty much came down to the conclusion there needs to be more security at games.
  10. @Jon Joseph No Princeton team has ever made a final four. In the 1963-64 season they made the tournament and lost in the 3rd place game for the East Region. Bill Bradley was awesome that season. 30.5 points and 11.8 rebounds. 1964 NCAA University Division basketball tournament - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  11. @woundedknees Nah, coach K was crying because his team got beat bad. In that particular instance, Dillon did absolutely nothing wrong in my opinion.
  12. After reviewing the video, he did push the cameraman, however was it in sense of he was trying to get up and was using the cameraman as leverage? Dillon is a villain and dirty player. I don't have a problem with villains, but I do have a problem with dirty players. Draymond, Dillon, Marcus Morris, Grayson Allen etc. all are dirty players. They routinely trip, punch players or hit players in the back. Rodman was the epitome of villain. 100% could get under just about any players skin and for the most part not do anything dirty. He had a few dirty plays, but for the most part was just a cray dude.
  13. If people stop clicking on his junk, he might stop writing it. I don't even bother clicking on any of his articles anymore.
  14. Autzen stadium has a number for fans to call if they see or hear poor behavior. I guess the thought is to get the stadium announcers to call it out? I was at the BYU game and I didn't hear the chant. I saw a video, so I know it happened, but not everything that happens in the stands is heard by everyone. I'm guessing if Lanning heard it, he would have talked to his guys in the booth to have Don Essig to tell them to stop. Some fan behavior is terrible and it needs to be called out, but if people don't know about it at the time, how are they to fix it?
  15. Best Coaching and Coordinator Hires of the 2023 CFB Offseason BLEACHERREPORT.COM Let's run through the best coordinator and coaching hires of the 2023 college football offseason. For this, we'll start with hires made in December of 2022
  16. He gets to see what part of his team looks like without Will and Dante. As Tom Penders says, it is respectful to accept a NIT bid. It is older than the NCAA tournament..... I'm with you though Charles, I'm not sure accepting the bid was a smart move.
  17. Hayward field has indoor lanes. However, it isn't a true indoor arena.
  18. Only Oregon and UW joining the B1G Ten wouldn't be enough to make the jump for me. There would need to be at least 2 more teams, preferably 4 for a total of 8. Oregon and UW would eventually become full members after some amount of time. Oregon and UW are better brands than half the B1G TEN. They would never join as a lesser member forever, unless the PAC 12 is gone. Even then, they would probably go somewhere else. Uncle Phil is 85 and I have no idea what he has set up for his fortune. Does he setup a trust worth billions for UO? Does his kids have the same love for UO, if they hold the money instead of a trust? I'm not putting my hopes and dreams on Uncle Phil letting the UO survive in sports without a good Media deal.
  19. I'm not sure getting more money from March Madness or CFP will be anywhere near as much as Oregon needs to keep up with the B1G and SEC. The pac 12 got 18 mil from March Madness in 2022, so 1.5 mil per school. I doubt the Pac 12 will give 50% to any team. Let's say the Ducks get 4 mil. Pac 12 will bring in around 260 mil when it moves to 12 teams. That means 26 mil per team, but the SEC will bringing in 28 mil per team when they go to 12 teams. Maybe, the Ducks get an extra 20%, so their cut would be around 31 mil. So, if they do performance based payments, Ducks get an extra 9 or 10 mil a year. That is still 30 mil less a year than every B1G and SEC school. Performance based payments isn't going to be nearly enough, unless it is so ruthless they don't give any money to the crappy teams. How NCAA units turn the Pac-12's March Madness wins into big paydays WWW.LATIMES.COM With UCLA in the Final Four, the Pac-12 is having its most profitable March Madness run. Here's a look at the system that turns wins into money in the bank. How Much Money Can An Expanded College Football Playoff Generate? 21. I understand the 1st year rule, but why do the students have to have the short stick after year 1? When schools sign players to a scholarship, that is a contract for 4 or 5 years. Schools/Head coaches get a do over without consequences, but students don't? It would be nice if everyone got what they wanted without consequences, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. I'm not sure what the correct thing to do is, but giving a school an out when they make the wrong decision doesn't feel like the right thing.
  22. I think it only makes sense if there is a group of 6 teams in the Pacific time zone. 4 is not enough, IMO. The Olympic sports need at least 1/3 of their conference away games to be close to them.
  23. It will be interesting to see if Fox forces UCLA and USC into repeatedly playing games at 7 PM PST. That would essentially force them to play all their home games at 7 PM and they would have make sure they alternate home games even for OOC.
