  1. Signing Day ADMIN.GODUCKS.COM Wednesday, December 21: Signing Day for University of Oregon Ducks Football
  2. Tuioti I guess technically is a hometown kid, but he has only lived in Eugene for less than a year. He moved with his dad, when his dad became Oregon's DC.
  3. It will be interesting to see what happens at UCLA and the QB competition. Kent State QB Collin Schlee isn't transferring to sit on the bench. UCLA also have 3 QBs that could come back next season.
  4. It is based on their high-school star ratings. I think we hit it out of the park with our transfers, but wasn't Bo the only former 5 star?
  5. Oregon Recruiting: 8 potential flip candidates for the Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Who are the guys that Oregon is trying to flip, and what is the likelihood that they pull it off? We break it down here.
  6. Oregon Football: UTEP OT Jeremiah Byers to take visit to Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM According to a report from 247Sports, the Ducks will host UTEP OT Jeremiah Byers on a visit this weekend.

  8. I'm all for Pac-12 schools who earn post season bids to receive more money, than those not receiving bids. However, I'm not sure half of payout would be feasible. Oregon is 100% a flag bearer for the Pac-12, but being too aggressive in forcing payment, may also leave them on the outside. Oregon can't go independent and the Big 12 isn't going to give them special treatment if Oregon leaves the Pac 12. It is a fine line they will have to walk.
  9. I definitely wouldn't have issues with all Pac-12 teams to never schedule games with USC/UCLA again. Bitter and petty, yep!
  10. Oregon Recruiting: Expected visitors for Ducks before dead period DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM There are some big names on Oregon’s visitor list this weekend, and some buzz about massive late additions as well.
  11. Three Pac 12 schools made the top 5, including Oregon. National Signing Day 2022: Five college football teams that can make noise in early signing period - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM These teams can make a splash with some key commitments during the early signing period
  12. It will be really interesting to hear how much UCLA will be paying CAL every year. The UC regents haven't decided how often UCLA is to pay CAL. UCLA also said they will be spending an additional 11-12 mil per year on athletes with this move. So, add another 10 mil per year for CAL, that is 21-22 mil per year. Hope it is worth it. Love how UCLA AD said they won't be playing Rutgers every week, so in the grand scheme of things it isn't that much. Nearly all of the B1G TEN schools are more than double the distance than all but UW. Sorry, but UCLA AD is a dope thinking it isn't all that much. Flight time/flight miles I used the same flight calculator, so I have no idea why it would have some place closer have longer flight times, but it gives the jist of the differences. Pac 12 Big Ten WSU 2.1 886 Nebraska 3.02 1269 UW 3 955 Minnesota 3.03 1524 UO 1.3 748 Iowa 3.22 1437 OSU 1.33 775 Wisconsin 3.51 1671 Cal 0.57 347 Northwestern 3.31 1746 Stanford 0.57 347 Illinois 3.54 1701 AU 1.03 440 Purdue 3.37 1555 ASU 0.59 370 Indiana 3.33 1810 Utah 1.25 589 MSU 4.2 1913 CO 1.47 825 Michigan 3.5 1948 tOSU 3.48 1978 PSU 5 2249 Rutgers 4.46 2442 Maryland 4.32 2304

  14. Pac-12 Football: 2023 recruiting rankings ahead of early signing day DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM We’re getting into the stretch run of recruiting before the early signing period. Will these Pac-12 rankings change when all is said and done?
  15. Pro Ducks: Where Marcus Mariota ranks among recent Heisman winners DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM USA TODAY ranked the last 25 Heisman winners according to what they accomplished in the NFL. Where does the Oregon legend land?
  16. Oregon Football: 5 things to know about Traeshon Holden DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon made a splash by landing former Alabama WR Traeshon Holden. Here’s what you need to know about the newest Duck.
  17. He was injured this season, I hope he comes back 100% healthy.
  18. I have seen the admission data for Stanford and they do let in kids with less than perfect SAT scores and 4.0 GPA's. I'll give them they are most selective in choosing their student athletes, but they need to stop crying about the limited pool of athletes. They can get kids if they worked hard enough in recruiting and in the portal. None of Stanford's other sports seem to have a problem. Granted, 85 scholarships is harder to fill than say a basketball team worth of scholarships.
  19. Jackson St. was in a bad conference. They could have played in the FCS playoffs, but they chose to play in the Celebration Bowl, because it was more money than playing in the playoffs. I read another article where they were saying Jackson St. wouldn't have been a high seed, even though they were undefeated. They played one of the easiest FCS schedules and that is why they ended up undefeated. Jackson St. had seven 4 or 5 star athletes. That is more than enough to win a lot of games in the FCS league. We shall see if Deion can win when he doesn't have better talent than the other team.
  20. Oregon Football Recruiting: 2024 Quarterback Michael Van Buren Announces Top 8 Schools - Sports Illustrated Oregon Ducks News, Analysis and More WWW.SI.COM The talented passer from Baltimore included the Ducks into his top schools.
  21. Traeshon Holden has played 2 seasons at Alabama. He has 570 total yards after both seasons. Not sure he is all that great of a WR. He was 5th in receptions and 4th in yards on a team that was mediocre at WR this year. I don't think these guys looking at Oregon is because Bo is coming back, but I know just as much as the next guy about player movement.
  22. Caleb Williams could be 1st Pac-12 Heisman winner since Marcus Mariota TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Caleb Williams could become the first #Pac12 #Heisman winner since #Oregon’s Marcus Mariota. We talked to @ZacharyCNeel of @Ducks_Wire for perspective.
  23. The Ducks have not lost any huge contributors this year. Flowe, I think, is the biggest contributor to leave this season. He had a total of 5 tackles in all of November. There are some big contributors that leave in the portal, but I'd say for the most part 80-90%% of the players in the portal were fringe players. Let the fringe players find a better place for themselves. I'm not going to worry over those players moving around the portal.
  24. That is an interesting idea and I'm sure some schools will probably focus more on the portal over high school recruits. My thoughts are, not to only go the portal route. I know it wouldn't be all kids turning over every year, but not having Freshman learn the system would seem to increase growing pains every year. The new guys might have proven themselves in college, but most likely in a different system.
