  1. As it currently stands, the Ducks don't have to play back to back top 4 Pac 12 teams. Technically, they also don't have back to back road games, although they do play @Stanford on 9/30 and @UW on 10/14, without another game in between. Oregon's schedule with their opponents the team they play before the Ducks. Utah is @ USC, USC plays UW at home and OSU plays UW at home. The Ducks do catch a break with the schedule. PSU 1st week Texas Tech plays at Wyoming they went 7-6 this season. Hawaii plays Stanford Colorado plays Colorado State Stanford plays Arizona UW BYE WSU plays Arizona Utah plays @ USC Cal plays USC USC plays UW ASU plays @ UCLA OSU plays UW OSU back to back 11/18 UW 11/24 @ Oregon USC back to back 10/14 @ ND 10/21 Utah 11/4 UW 11/11 @ Oregon 11/18 UCLA Utah back to back 9/2 Florida 9/9/ @ Baylor 9/23 UCLA 9/29 @ OSU 10/21 @ USC 10/28 Oregon Washington 11/4 @ USC 11/11 Utah 11/18 @ OSU 11/25 WSU
  2. His only P5 scholarship offers at the moment are from the Ducks and ASU. He also has offers from Campbell, Colorado St. and Florida A&M. His profile has already been updated to the new high school. I wonder if he made the decision a long time ago.
  3. I never read the Pac 12 was going to go to 8 conference games. There was certainly discussion on the topic, but not firm plans. 3 out of 5 conferences play 9 conference games, I'd think the SEC and ACC would move to 9. Surprisingly, Saban has been one who is in favor of going to 9.
  4. 2023 Oregon Football Schedule Announced - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM The Ducks will play seven home games at Autzen Stadium in 2023, beginning with the season opener against Portland State on Sept. 2. Pac-12 2023 football schedules, team by team WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The season begins Aug. 26 with USC playing host to San Jose State, and concludes Dec. 1 or 2 in Las Vegas with the Pac-12 championship game
  5. Winning the Pac 12 would be great and all, but like others have said, it is all about the money. Continually making 30+ mil less a year, makes it the B1G TEN, SEC and then everybody else. They might end up shooting themselves in the foot because most won't want to watch 20% of college teams be the only teams with a chance to win a championship in all sports. It will be interesting to watch USC/UCLA in the B1G TEN. I think the Olympic athletes are NOT going to like traveling 2,000 miles every other week. If Oregon were to join the B1G TEN, then another 3 teams from the west would have to join as well. To offset all the extra travel, they really do need to have 6 west coast teams.
  6. Yeah, I think they are putting a Band-Aid over a huge open wound. I think Staley isn't the guy. However, as one of my buddies asked, who do you want to replace him?
  7. Ken Pomroy rankings for Pac 12 teams and (ESPN BPI rankings) There are 32 automatic bids. Approximately 20 bids would be to teams below 68. So, if you aren't in the top 48, you need to be worried about getting a bid. #3 UCLA (3) #20 Arizona (18) #48 Colorado (75) #54 ASU (50) #56 USC (67) #64 WSU (64) #65 Oregon (55) #66 Utah (72) #106 Washington (119) #112 Stanford (93) #203 Cal (230) #223 OSU (234) Remaining schedule: @ Cal W @ Stanford W Colorado W Utah W @ Arizona L @ ASU W USC W UCLA L @ Washington W @ WSU L @ OSU W Cal W Stanford W I think we have to go 10-3 the rest of the way, to be on solid ground to make the tournament. We can't lose to Cal, Stanford, UW or OSU. If we lose more than 3, then we will have to win at least 1 Pac 12 game, if not 2.
  8. 8 guys will need to move on before Fall. I have my thoughts on who I think won't have much play time, but I don't get to 8.
  9. Most have Lanning's first year somewhere around a B, give or take. First year and one year are not a trend, but an anomaly. We need to see improvement in critical game decisions and the defensive side of the ball. If we don't see improvement, then it is starting to become a trend. We don't want to see a negative trend with Lanning, if we hope to contend for national titles.
  10. Sorry, that is fantasy, until I see the contract. Are these kids getting crazy money absolutely, but no way I believe they are getting 13 mil as in Freshman. 1 mil is stupid in my opinion, but it isn't my money.
  11. We have zero information of why this guy is wanting to leave. I'm not going assume he can't hack it at UGA. Maybe, he was told he wasn't going to any playing time next year. Hundreds of reasons for a change of scenery. I'm going with the glass is half full.
  12. I read one article where the B1G TEN did not offer him an extension. A lot of the AD's who hired Kevin are gone, it sounded like he was not going to get an extension. So, rather than being let go, he left. Smart move.
  13. Oregon Football: Assessing the future of the DL position in Eugene DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM In the last week, former 5-star DL Jordan Burch committed to the Ducks, and Brandon Dorlus announced his return. Oregon’s DL could be special in 2023.
  14. Kids will still move more than once. There are 2 criteria where they can get a waiver and still play the next season. 1) mental health issues and 2) a dangerous situation on campus. One could argue not getting playing time is causing mental health issues for a player. It hopefully will give some players a chance to think twice before moving on a second time, but I'm not sure it will slow down the transfers all that much.
  15. I like Cam, but he has 18 career receptions for 169 yards. His line this past season 10 receptions for 66 yards. He was the 4th TE for total yards and tied for 3 in receptions. I think he saw his playing time being limited and wanted to go someplace else.
  16. The whole reason why things are chaotic is because they have the early signing period before the season is over. If we want to try and stop schools from firing coaches during the season or coaches moving in the middle of the season, move the date into January. Pac 12 shoots itself in the foot because two of their bowl games (Las Vegas and the LA Bowl) are on the 1st Saturday (3rd Saturday of December) of bowl season. I think early signing period for football is always the 3rd Wednesday of December. Push NLI into January and only the top teams feel the heat of early NLI. Seems like a great way to try and get parity into football.
  17. I will never get over how the Ducks only allowed 5 sacks all season. I wonder how many teams gave up 5 in 1 game. That is an amazing stat, especially for a team that threw the ball 432 times this eason.
  18. I don't think the conferences care about parity in the playoffs. They only see more money. However, I'm not sure how well things will turn out when we have continual 30+ point wins. If nobody watches, not as much money is made.
  19. No clear picture on Rising's injury from the Rose Bowl. I'm not sure if he will be back for the 1st game of the season for Utah. I read an article and Utah only has 7 seniors with no eligibility left. Not sure how many underclassmen will be declaring for the NFL.
  20. Oregon Football: Multiple Ducks named Gatorade Player of the Year DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Gatorade Players of the Year were announced for all 50 states on Friday, and the Ducks were well represented.
  21. Not the easiest, but not the hardest schedule. Monday January 16th is the final day for college football players to declare for the draft. Cam Rising is projected to be at best a 6th round pick. I'm not sure if this 2nd injury this season is enough to have him call it quits, but there is little reason for him to declare for the NFL. vs. Portland St. @ Texas Tech vs Hawaii @ ASU @ UW @ Stanford @ Utah vs Cal vs Colorado vs WSU vs USC vs OSU
  22. I'm a Duck football season ticket holder. I went to the 2001 Fiest Bowl vs Colorado and the 2014 CFP title game vs tOSU. Both bowl games were great experiences for me. Jerry's world said the same thing about no tailgating, but everybody was out drinking in the parking lot. What they did do to discourage it was reduce the number of port-a potties in the parking lot. Being a season ticket holder, I paid face value for the bowl tickets. The ticket prices were still steep, but not over $500. That was before the fad of opt-outs, but being at the game is being at the game. If you like the live game experience, I don't think opt outs is going to change it.
  23. Oregon Football: The 50 best photos of the Ducks’ 2022 season DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks had a great 2022 season. Let’s take a look back at some of the best photos from the year as a whole.
  24. Harbaugh had been a coach where 4 years was enough. San Diego 3 years, Stanford 4 years, 49ers 4 years. It is only Michigan where he passed 4 years. I have a feeling he has an inch to move on. If I'm any Michigan player or recruit, I shouldn't expect him to be my coach my senior year.
  25. Oregon Recruiting: Ducks targeting Kentucky DL Justin Rogers in portal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Rogers, a former 4-star recruit, has 61 tackles and 3 sacks in 26 career games at Kentucky.
