Streaming sports is not speculative, it is nearly the norm. ESPN/ABC, FOX/Foxsports, and CBS/TNT/TBS/CBS Sports all stream live sporting events. A few years ago, me and some buddies rented a house in Lincoln City for the first week of March Madness and we had 2 TVs and 2 laptops all showing different games all because of streaming. I wouldn't go 100% for streaming, but I would be willing to go 60% cable and 40% streaming to bring in more money to the Pac conference media deal. If you are a good team, people will seek out to watch you. Is it going to suck for CAL football, absolutely. I would definitely rather be the 1st with Amazon, so we have that relationship.

How does SMU, with undergraduate class of under 7000, have a large alumni base? The TV networks don't only look at the media market, they also look at actual TV numbers. SMU doesn't have the TV numbers. Could they, if they moved up to a P5 conference, I suppose, but can you count on it? I wouldn't count on it. My opinion is bring in only San Diego St. They hardly currently pan out financial wise, but they are close enough to LA and they do seem to want to spend money to be relevant. Move them to the Pac conference and give them 5 years like Utah and I think they will be on par with the rest of the league in football and basketball, which are the sports the TV deals care about.

I think the Pac 12 is returning a lot of talented QBs, but maybe only Williams will last past their NFL rookie contract. If Risen, Nix and Penix were for sure NFL caliber QBs, they would have left for the NFL. Yes, there are some QBs with for sure NFL talent that come back when they could go, but it isn't those 3 QBs. Maybe, I'm wrong and all three play 10+ years in the NFL.

I didn't think about it at the time, but it usually is odd for coach to make a lateral move from the NFL to college. Klemm was the offensive line coach for the Steelers in 2021.

Yeah, the women have had 7 of their players there for all 23 games. 6 of them have the most minutes played, so we can't use the injury bug for this season. However, having Sedona Prince go down before the season hurt their depth. Hoping they build chemistry this season for next season.

A 10-year 80 mil contract will make it hard for Miami to walk away this early. I'm not sure if there is a buyout or if it was 100% guaranteed. I feel like Miami is on the hook for the full 80 mil.

Remember, TV people are not in business to bring in people over the age of 40. They want young viewers. 99% of the people under age 40 will know how to find games on Amazon Prime. They also have the internet to support streaming without buffering.

Did you watch any Liberty games last year? Crystal Dangerfield played a ton of PG for the Liberty and Sabrina was the SG. Everything worked out fine for Sabrina. I think Sabrina, Vandersloot, Stewart and Jones will figure it out. Will there be growing pains, absolutely. Do I think it is a lock they are in the finals, not this season. However, I think if all 4 remain healthy they will be in the finals every year after.

I like how there is a lot of mention how Oregon is pulling kids because of NIL deals. I'm sure that is partially true, however out of the top 10 classes on On3, the Ducks are 9th at 50K average. ND is averaging 48K for the lowest of the top 10 classes. On3 says USC's NIL average is 145K.

The Oregon Ducks are routinely at the Cross Country, In-Door and Out-Door Track Championships as a team every year. South Carolina hasn't made it as a team since 2015. They are nearly the worst team in the SEC as a track team. He didn't choose South Carolina for track reasons. The last South Carolina Olympian was 2012. The Ducks have had 9 different Olympians since 2012.

Yep, track and Olympics must not have been as a high as a priority as he mentioned. South Carolina track and field team is not good.

I'm curious as to why CBS isn't wanting in on Pac 12 football. They will only show 1 B1G TEN game a weekend at the 12:30/3:30 time slot. Then 2 games on Black Friday and then the championship game every other year.

I was reviewing previous Track and Field Championships. It isn't good for Maryland or South Carolina. Neither hardly puts athletes in the Championships and neither had anybody score for them the last 2 years. If track truly is part of his decision, I can't see him choosing Maryland or South Carolina.

Yeah, San Diego State's new stadium is a bit small. After OSU and WSU, the next few are Colorado 50,183, Stanford 50,424, Arizona 50,800 and Utah 51,444. It did say they can expand to 50K, so that is good.

The Ducks luck with 5* basketball recruits have not been good.

No player in any sport should ever receive a contract longer than 5 years. It is 100% silly. Do some guys deserve it, yep. However, things change so fast, it is terrible business practice. Like Just Ducky said, it would severely handicap the Chargers. Justin is that valuable to that team, but we have seen what paying 1 guy so much does to the overall team. The guy is a cheater, but Tom Brady never took too much. His highest average salary was this year at 25 mil. 15th highest this season. Half of Rodgers and Wilson.

Gottlieb is a talking head wanting clicks. Bronny will absolutely be a circus for any school he goes to. However, it will be much better than the Ball fiasco at UCLA. Lebron, as a father, hasn't been making headlines talking about his kids. Bronny, from the many articles I have read, has always been a team player. Could Bronny be over hyped and not help the team he plays for, absolutely. However, I don't think it would be better to come in 2nd. Whatever team he plays for, will be on national TV for likely over half of their games. I also think Dana would be a strong enough coach, not to play Bronny just because of who his father is. I'm not sure tOSU or the USC coach could say the same thing.

Seems about right. He was initially a 1st round pick before the 2022 season was played.
