I'm looking forward to a Fishduck analysis of what went wrong with Oregon's secondary. Were they just out schemed by Penn state's offensive coordinator, or what? That being said, our team out west has slain a bunch of Blue bloods this season. I am so proud of them.

Does anyone know if this game is playing anywhere else but on Fox? For the last hour, Fox has been showing a high school basketball game instead of the Ohio State Indiana game that shows up on the TV guide, with no indication as to where else the game might be being played.

From what I read, the mountain West played a role in this too. PAC2 had to pay $14 million this year to schedule mountain West teams. PAC2 offered 7.5 million for the 2026 season, and the mountain west countered with 30 million. That's when the PAC2 went pillaging.

In fairness, I still can't believe we beat them in the Shoe with Anthony Brown as quarterback and Cristobal as coach. Brown always gave it his all and I admired that, but had nowhere near the talent of Nix and several other Oregon quarterbacks.

Don't get me wrong. I also love the publicity, I obviously love the Duck, and kind of like the fact that McAfee was on his side THIS time. But McAfee is just so consistently loud and obnoxious that I kind of wish their interaction had ended something like this:

It's extremely difficult to get someone more involved than Justin Herbert. Cameron Ward is very good, but nowhere near that good. Here's hoping Mario doesn't devolve him.

I don't know. I like to dream about an undefeated season, but I've come to prefer Dan Lanning's approach. Every week is a new game, and it's always Oregon against Oregon. If they continue to take that approach and improve 1% each game, it's going to be a great season.

To add to the other excellent points made here, these are young bucks and buckettes in prime physical condition that we're talking about. I don't think adding a few hours onto a plane ride is going to make much of a difference for them. And once they're there........ A motel is a motel, regardless of what city you're in.

Another wise post by Mike West. It seems like college football is starting to look more like an English version of the second tier English Championship League, second to the NFL's Premier League. The day may come where corporate sponsor logos that are larger than any identifying information for the team in question are pasted all over the jerseys of players just like they are for European football clubs. I don't like it, but I agree that most of us tend to over idealize the past and dread change. If I get to see my Ducks play, I'll still be a happy man. There's not much purity in life. Look for it where you can, but moving forward, I think it's a fool's errand for us to expect it in college sports.

Hope we get to keep him for a couple more seasons.
