This begs the question , does Mario even knows what it means to scheme against what you opponent is doing?? He is clearly the one coach from the Saban tree who.learned nothing from Nick. Seems Kirby, Sark, Lane and Dan sure did though.

Maybe they thought they could learn something by watching another team.🤷‍♀️

Dan had some fun with James Crepea last night during his presser. James asked about the last TD and Dan said he was sure DUCK fans were appreciative. He then commented "I know James was one of those guys that got excited. I got your back James". James retorted " I never wager on sports". Dan replied 'good to hear. I'd say that's a safe decision all the time'.

'Hole' fans?????? Truly a classy comment. They are so envious it's beyond pathetic. I recently read an interview with the OS pres and by all accounts she is a very smart person. She is a mechanical engineer and reading some of the research she has done is quite impressive. BUT, (you knew this was coming) in an interview a couple of months ago with John Canzano he asked her about more effective marketing of OS athletics. He made the casual comment that the school 40 miles away has done a pretty good job of that. Her comment, 'you mean Western Oregon'???? I get the attempt at humor but given their situation it came off dumb and classless.

I normally always want a coach who was at Oregon to succeed, exception being Taggart for obvious reasons, but Mario is clearly on 'my list' now of 'I could care less how he does'. He is very full of himself right now and kudos to him for landing Cam Ward because had he not, he'd be lucky to be .500 right now IMO.

I for one am really glad to see this. Everyone was after Terry big time the first few games. He is young but has a great mentor in Mike Cavanaugh. That was a very wise move on Dan's part to bring in Cavanaugh to help Terry out.

Same here- hard to say it but Penix did deserve it. DeBoer just did not do as good of a job of campaigning for Penix as Kelly did for Daniels. And remember Kelly kept Daniels in games when they were way out of reach so he could pad his stats.

My $.02 assessment- Mario is very insecure. Remember Nick did strip him of his assistant head coach title at Alabama for a reason. Don't know specifically why and water under the bridge now but there was a reason.

If Day loses to Penn State the calls to Mayflower could commence. Was talking to some very nice tOSU fans before the game in Eugene and one of them commented that 'the rumors' in Columbus are that a major part of the reason Day brought Chip in was because IF Day does get fired he would look to go to the NFL and take Chip with him. These fans commented that they have heard Day is getting tired of the 'BS' and the fan base in Columbus. Fact or fiction, who knows but none the less interesting.

Is it just me or has Mario become more obnoxious and rude over the last couple of years???? I never liked the guy but there is a difference between promoting your program and showing your humility as opposed to being an insufferable jerk.

They are so exhausting. Along time ago in my career I learned an old adage, be careful what you wish for. They were so smug when Riley was hired and could not wait to laugh, berate, mock etc. Oregon for going after an unproven defensive coordinator. They called Lanning a 'leftover' and proof Uncle Phil's money could not buy the shiniest thing because they got the biggest fish in the college football coaching pond at that time. They even went so far as to say Oklahoma was right to pass on DL after Riley left and Venables got the job. So just wondering how that's all working out for them. Another thing I learned in my career, sometimes it's okay to keep your mouth shut and just let things play out because karma is a b*&%$.

Ryan Day is the biggest whinner in college football. I watched him constantly complaining and working the refs last Saturday like there was no tomorrow. He was in their faces non-stop about everything.
