  1. Same here Charles and I like these types of players. They tend to be hungry (not saying Dowdell was not) and Lock gets the very best out of them.
  2. Would not be surprised to see him end up at Miss State with Lebby. That was his second choice after Oregon. Seems to be some conjecture in the twitter (X) world that a flip of Frazier is not likely as Charles said. It is notable that Limar 'seemed' to be ahead of him on the depth chart. Again, my perception but seems to be that of others here as well. There is an RB from NW Missouri visiting this weekend and I refuse to say 'what, how could an RB from an unheralded school be any good'? One Mr. Irving came from a school that is not perceived as a football power either. Lots of mystery and intrigue this weekend for sure.
  3. Maybe Ward just wanted a trip to Miami to get some sun because he sure can't possibly think Mario will help him get to the next level.
  4. Some think Nolan is a strong Alabama lean at this point. Speculation for sure but not too hard to fathom.
  5. No idea what the issue was this year but I do know he has had a rough go personally. Both parents are deceased. If I am not mistaken his father passed away in 2022 very unexpectedly and his mother passed away a number of years ago as well. Hope for the best for him and hope he got his degree.
  6. I am certainly no expert on QB evaluations. In talking with some people connected to the program, all unequivocally felt the same thing, They felt Mario was drawn to the fact Thompson was a 5 star guy. They are not sure how far and deep Mario looked beyond how the recruiting services rated him. The other thing they felt was that Mario never really had a plan for how to develop TT (surprising I know ). Dillingham comes in and Bo joins him. Clearly KD and Dan saw something there and figured out how to take advantage of it. I certainly hope for the best for Ty. He is a very admirable young man and it appears he was well liked by his teammates. Hopefully he learned from Bo and will take his game to the next level.
  7. I think things are reaching a point where some serious questions have to be asked. Love Kelly. He is a very nice person but right now things are not looking very good. Maybe Kelly is ready to move on too. We forget about that aspect sometimes as well.
  8. Word is he is in the portal. Mario loved him. I also think Mario was a bit taken in by his star rating. I hope for the best for him.
  9. What a mature, classy person. This guy embodies everything Oregon football should stand for, grit, grace, determination and humility. The coaches have a wonderful recruiting narrative by simply telling his story. He could have totally given up after the Auburn debacle but he persevered. It has always been about the team and not him. I am so glad he is a DUCK and will always be.
  10. What's that old saying.... better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
  11. Yeah, would not classify this as 'bleeding'. Oregon is at 91 scholarship players. There will be more and likely the guys who were down lower on the depth chart and maybe a surprise or two, in addition to the guys who declare for the draft.
  12. ^^^^^ this all day. I agree on all counts. It will be interesting to see what DeBoer does as you say when Penix, Odunze, McMillan etc. are gone. He is not recruiting well at the moment. I don't dislike him at all. He's not arrogant (looking at you Jimmy Lake and Don James, who I know is deceased) and always seems gracious and yes is a damn good coach. There have been whispers in UW circles that some think DeBoer might want to give the NFL a go at some point. Who knows if it is anything more than speculation and fan talk.
  13. Actually my question is how is this relevant? I like Holly and think she is a good reporter but this falls right into what Dan says about clicks IMO.
  14. John Canzano made a very salient point in his post game column. Dan Lanning was a 19 year old linebacker at William Jewell college when Kalen DeBoer started coaching. Not an excuse but a fact, and several others here have highlighted this much more eloquently than JC but just making the point that experience matters. Dan has all the makings of a great coach. I never felt that about his predecessor. I'm onboard till I see something that negates that.
  15. As stated, this is pretty normal. I am glad these resources are available.
  16. The sad thing to me is these people who have these meltdowns and then vent from behind the anonymity of their key boards call themselves 'Duck fans'. Not saying fans have to agree or like everything the coaches do , but vile comments are beyond unacceptable. I am not saying they can't voice their opinion but the slander on Lanning and the coaches was disgusting. I saw comments that DL should be fired, the team was not prepared, Lannimg is stubborn. It was ridiculous. Did anyone want that game more than the coaches and players???? I wonder how all these keyboard warriors would fare if it was them standing on the sidelines and have to make a split second decision with 60,000 people watching in person and millions more watching at home. Thanks for keeping it real here!
  17. Thank you Charles. There are plenty of other sites for those who wish to engage in the behavior as described. I for one am proud of the team and coaches. They took us on an amazing ride this year and I am immensely grateful Dan Lanning is at the helm. There's always lessons to be learned and as Dan says is you aren't winning you are learning. Appreciate the community here and the respect shown the majority of the time.
  18. Another one that (to me) is not surprising. MSU maybe? Could also see him at Michigan but you never know what might happen with the mess they have on their hands. Still talk out there that Harbaugh will bolt to the NFL.
  19. Would be interesting if he does land at MSU. He seemed a bit perturbed about Smith based on a tweet he posted after Smith announced his departure. On a separate note, anyone catch the comment from Trent Bray in his presser yesterday? When asked about Smith's departure he said 'it didn't sit quite right with me...' Guessing he was pretty sure he was getting the job but again the high road is always the best route no matter how we feel privately.
  20. Totally feel the same Charles. I am trying to really focus on work as a distraction and it's not working. I keep pausing and then find my self thinking about the game. UGH. I am very nervous. One thing I am hoping is that there are more Duck fans than Dawg fans and they make lots of noise. Can it just be Friday at 5 pm?????? Please
  21. My nerves are in high gear. Thinking about if I will be able to sleep on Thursday night.
  22. I'm admittedly not a gambling aficionado so a translation here would help. Don't understand about the money being 3/1 in favor of the Dawgs. Will appreciate a quick primer.
