  1. How would Chip and Campbell be involved? I know Locklyn had him at practice on occasion but not following how they would have been involved.
  2. Lock was not considered a great recruiter. Sure he got Whittington and Bucky from the portal. He got Limar and Dowdell from HS but Dowdell left because he knew he would be at least 4th on the depth chart this coming season. I was told his recruiting chops were considered below average by multiple people with contacts in the AD so he may have been looking around.
  3. tOSU's running back room is in pretty good shape. Not saying that means someone won't hit the portal but as noted the landscape has changed.
  4. Just going to add this for consideration and context- Mullens is very astute financially and has earned respect among his peers for that. That is also one of the reasons that his name surfaces when jobs open. Scholz also has deep background in economics - here is his bio for reference: Incoming President - Biography | Office of the President PRESIDENT.UOREGON.EDU My point is, I have to believe that both Mullens and Scholz along with others in athletics like Eric Roedl (who like Mullens is a CPA) analyzed this situation a million ways to Sunday. I am sure they had every possible data point possible and used every analytics tool possible to figure out the best path forward. Please don't take this as defending anyone or the process or even agreement with the final outcome. My point is I have to believe they considered all possible options and moved forward with the one that made the most sense from all possible angles for EVERYONE involved. I get the frustration of keeping the OS game on the schedule as opposed to TT and the big payout to OS and WSU. Imagine the optics if Oregon had said no way to playing that game. No one from OS WILL EVER admit it, but they need that game on their schedule way more than Oregon does and that rubs alot of UO people the wrong way too. It's the proverbial rock and a hard place and in the famous words of Bruce Springsteen, 'nobody wins unless everybody wins'.
  5. 30 years from now Canzano and Wilner will still be banging this same drum. John just can't end his OS lovefest. 🤯 I am sure he is sending his love to Bray as well. BTW- the esteemed beav beat writer at the O, Nick Daschel yesterday asked his acolytes if they were cheering for the DUCKS since it meant money for OS if they won. My God, the replies were beyond pathetic. Take my word, only unless your are really truly beyond bored don't read the dissertations on X.
  6. Well, they will have plenty of time to ruminate on their sofas on Saturday watching every team but theirs! Their whining kind of reminds me of left coast USC fans.
  7. Kudos to Dana for constantly talking about the importance of leadership. Good coaches cultivate and develop team leaders.
  8. Parents don't want him at their house. Okay, sure. Of course they want to come to his house because, well he can show off the palatial mansion his sons bought him and his cars and his Louis Vuitton collection and his gold jewelry. All about the clicks. Dan was very prescient on this one.
  9. I thought of Barnes as well. Would not be surprised to see him make the move. Imagine the firestorm that would set off in beavland. I am sure the UW fans are putting a pretty face on this saying he simply could not pass up the opportunity to move closer to home. His football coach bolted (although he admitted to having an inkling when KD did not sign the extension) and the bball coach was recently fired. Lots of 'to do' items for the next person.

  11. I always have to restrain myself when the husky acolytes on Twitter (X) start throwing out the scores of the last three matchups and dissing DL as a great recruiter and nothing more, but I digress. Dawg fans know very well, (damn well) they have a lot of work to do and winning a lot of games next year is going to be a big task. There's those pesky little things called facts and the facts bear out that team was decimated big time and they have not yet replenished. The other thing most won't publicly admit is that they wished DeBoer had done what Dan did when the Alabama thing surfaced. Their strategy was hope and we all know about hope as a strategy, it ain't one. Time will tell.
  12. Sheesh- very little research but then again the author may possess an SEC mentality in which one firmly believes that no 'big boy football' is played west of the Mississippi.
  13. Gotta love Dan's passion. It's palpable.
  14. Don't think this was too much of a surprise.
  15. His buyout is very high so Mullens has a real dilemma on his hands. Not one I would want to have to deal with but then again it comes with the territory. Some have postulated that Graves wants to go to the WNBA as an asst. Fact or fiction, can't say for sure but what has transpired this year is definitely vexing. One would be somewhat more sympathetic if all the transfers had not taken place after last season. I get there were injuries this year but it just seems like there are systemic issues within the program and those need to be addressed quickly.
  16. Some have speculated it will be on the BIG network- nothing definitive though
  17. Kudos to you Nevada Dawg. You did tell us very early on we would love Dan. He is genuine, real and has vision. I was told by someone close to the program that Dan truly realizes what he has at Oregon. His predecessors, including CK did not, thus choosing to move on because they believed they had better opportunities. Not going down the rabbit hole on how that has or has not worked out depending on your option. Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
  18. I like when Dan says 'if you're not winning, you're learning'. How true is that?
  19. 'So what, now what' was coined by Terry Borton in the 1970s as a group facilitation technique. It is frequently used in sales trading. I have taken a number of sales methodology classes in my career and it is applicable to the challenges faced when selling enterprise solutions to large organizations.
  20. That Hendrix reference is epic!😉👍
  21. I think there are certainly some points to ponder in that article. Certainly reinforces Dan's adapt or die mantra.
