Ducks vs Arizona Basketball Game Thread
I don't think it's that, we still played a lot with Diawara, we're playing much better teams, we don't really have a great 3/4 option, Arizona is a good team that have gone bonkers from deep, and we've gone stone cold from outside. Doesn't help that Shelsted is basically a non-entity now. I'm not putting him down, he's going to figure it out, but we went from getting 14-20 points to now around 5, and he isn't a good defensive player right now.

Ducks vs Arizona Basketball Game Thread
Just want to say thank you to the pit crew for getting Love in his groove, good job guys! Need to hit shots and can't turn the ball over, a very sloppy game on offense and defense for the Ducks, not looking like our game, going to have win the tournament to get in.

Mens Basketball: Ducks Win Massive Benchmark Game?
Definitely Mudslide! Defense got stiffer, got a couple easy baskets, get a bit of confidence, and it's amazing what confidence does for the shooting stroke. One thing that is interesting to see is how we are adjusting to not only the implementation of Dante/Bittle, but also how Shelsted is now being targeted on both offense/defense, he's having to adjust, and Altman is now leaning on Barthelemy who certainly has deserved the increase in minutes based on his play. Wish Arizona had boat raced OSU, I think we would be more set up for the upset if that had happened. I expect a high scoring game since the Cats play a pretty uptempo pace. I hope Dante doesn't get too gassed.

Mens Basketball: Ducks Win Massive Benchmark Game?
I'm not disheartened by the team, it's the conference that is so pathetic, some in here have talked about how the B1G is overrated in basketball, but at least they have teams that are ranked, P12 basketball has mostly been a collection of so-so to bad teams with the occasional contender, mostly though it's a league that continually is 2nd best in the west, the WCC and the Mountain West have been better leagues in the last few years, and that should NEVER happen. It's pretty incredibly how far the Bay Area schools have dropped as basketball programs, the Stanford that had great players like Casey Jacobson and the Lopez brothers are distant past, just as Cal used to have some pretty good teams, as much I hated the Romar teams UW used to have some good ones, WSU had a streak of some good teams, all of these programs have massively underachieved what they are capable of. I think one of the reasons why attendance is down here, is that none of these games feel that big, ASU even though they were tied for first with Oregon doesn't feel like a must go to game, it's against a middling team nationally that has had a good start to league. No one other than Arizona and I guess Utah turned up in preseason. Most years in the past 10 or so, we've seen the Pac-12 send around 3-4 teams to the dance, that's not a good number and it makes games feel insignificant. Combine this with prices that are bit too high, and you have the recipe for crowds that aren't great, I also think the presentation of the game is poor, kiss cam, dance cam, all this baloney can go, give me back cheerleaders and the band!

Mens Basketball: Ducks Win Massive Benchmark Game?
We'll probably need to win Saturday, then go on a pretty impressive run to get into the conversation of the tournament, not winning in the Rockies was pretty bad for the resume, not because those teams are bad it's just that we basically have one more road game on the schedule that could help the resume substantially in Arizona, where it is very difficult to win. Really could have used Arizona winning the other night.

Husky Fans Predict Their Win Total for 2024: 'I May Still Be in Denial...'
It's impossible to say right now not knowing who the QB will be, not to mention any other additions that might come.

Which Former Pac-12 Teams Do You Want To Fail or Succeed?
Pretty much this Despite what WSU and OSU say it's USC that killed the conference without them (and UCLA draggin behind), we would not have seen the ridiculous TV.....ummm internet streaming contract offer we ended up with that forced us into going to the B1G.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
One thing that will help is if Evans can get back to playing like he did before last week, he seems to play better as a small 5 in a small ball lineup, but we need him to play as the 4 who can be versatile. Like I said before we were due a game like this where everything goes sideways, I think we matchup better against Utah, so we'll see how we do.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
It's still cursed, that one win was a fluke, Oregon goes there and automatically become just a lackluster team, the reverse is we usually put Colorado in its place when they play in Eugene. If we can win in Salt Lake, then the road trip is fine, lose that now, and it becomes a big opportunity to get a good road win lost. We need these games to get into the tourney.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
Yeah, best freshman out there right now is Williams and it isn't even close, bad game by Shelsted, whole team has not been good. It's okay, we were due a game like this. We looked tired the whole game other than that spurt at the start of the second half, not just physically tired, mentally tired. Dante is completely out of shape, just isn't ready for more than about 15-20 minutes a game.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
Williams for Colorado is the best freshman on the court, really like his game. Some stupid fouls by both Diawara and Dante have really hampered Oregon, KJ not having his best game.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
Good start to the second half, have to keep it going and not have lapses in concentration.

Tonight: Oregon Men's Basketball Game Against Colorado
No hustle, just laziness out there, horrible foul shooting, settling on offense, Dana must be furious.

2024 It's Going to be B1G - Including B1G Broadcasts
I'll just have to call them and see what I need to pay to get it added. I already get SEC, ACC, Pac-12, CBS Sports, Tennis, pretty much everything except B1G. Thanks everyone.

It Seems to Me That Coach Lanning…
All of the I-5 corridor is like that, Portland, Tacoma, Eugene, Salem, we're all basically helpless when it comes to being snowed or iced in. Ice is of course worse since you can't do much about it, at least with snow you can get a little traction, ice is just the worse since you have to have major studs or chains, even then we only deal with it every 2-3 years, so not that many people have the experience to drive on it, and we have hilly areas in all the towns other than Salem, Seattle I imagine is the worst though.

I thought I had the right package, I guess I'll just have to call them and find out. Are you in Eugene?

Update: Jan. 22 News on Lock-Down Corner Transfer Jabbar Muhammad
Very good player, probably got away with holding/PI more than any other DB in the country, hopefully he'll get the same favorable call if goes to the Ducks.

2024 It's Going to be B1G - Including B1G Broadcasts
You would think it would be available by the start of the season next year, then again look at the Pac-12 network, we could have the reverse scenario happen where satellite has access but cable doesn't😅

2024 It's Going to be B1G - Including B1G Broadcasts
I don't know if anybody has heard or not, but it seems like B1G network is not available in Eugene on Xfinity, does anybody know if it's going to become available on cable?

Dana's Team: No. 1 for Another Week...
Anybody else completely forget we actually won in Boulder in 2022, man I don't remember that at all, I thought Dana was winless there. Huge game (they're all huge it seems like), nobody should worry about the rankings, it makes sense we wouldn't be ranked, we haven't beaten anyone good, the Pac-12 is crap this year (like most years), we'll get our due if we just keep winning, the committee will also take note of our injury troubles, I wouldn't be surprised if we keep winning if we get a better seed than many of the expects expect. Need to keep Colorado off balance with our defensive sets, get into our flow, and play our style, seems like usually we end up getting out of our rhythm and get knocked into playing the way Colorado wants to play.

Oh My! Huskies Now Have Only THREE Starters Left From 2023!
I think we'll see Washington get a few guys to come back, it usually happens where a few guys dip their toes into the portal or flirt with the NFL, then they meet the new coach and decide to come back.

Ducks Suck...Then Rally to Beat Cal 80-73!
When I think about it, the game was actually kind of perfect for the situation, they got complacent against bad team, they got down by a ton, didn't panic, worked their way back, got Dante in against a good opposite center who will can shoot outside which we will see in this upcoming road trip, and in the end they were taught to expect a dog fight in every game during the league season. Overall I've loved all of Altman's teams except for the last two years, so this is such a joy to see a team playing with the same spirit we've come to expect from Dana's teams.

Yeah, no worries, it looks like he edited his tweet, so it's easy to see how you would have interpreted it that way.

Gut Punch: The Truth About Local Sports Journalists...Not What I Thought
I think it's important to again point out that Crepea was talking about Women's basketball, he wasn't talking about football, the women's basketball is not a good team, they beat Arizona solely because Arizona basically play like mad women on defense but they aren't talented enough so they foul a ton.

Why Ducks are Big Ten favorites After Dan Lanning Return per ClutchPoints
I would say it's tOSU, Oregon, Michigan, Penn St, and Wiscy in that order. USC will be all over the place I think, UW might be up there if they get Fafita and TMac to come, but they lose so much I think it will be too much to replace, after that it's gets pretty dicey in terms of underdog contenders. UCLA no, Iowa no, Nebraska don't make me laugh, and then it becomes the dregs of the league where they might win a game they shouldn't but nothing more than that.
