NYDuck No. 3 Share Posted yesterday at 11:51 AM Can't wait for this one..... boy there must be a lot of pent up anger from those 2 last year. BTHO the Huskies. From the first whistle. Go Quack Attack.
30Duck No. 4 Share Posted yesterday at 01:59 PM OBD has to play with a controlled rage on Saturday. The Huskies are 0-5 on the road this season, making them 0-6 just requires a focused effort from all three facets, offense, defense and special teams. As Jordan pointed out in the article, Oregon is clearly superior across the board. When you have two quarterbacks, you have no quarterbacks. Is that the situation for the Huskies? Whoever it is. hopefully they'll be getting to know Jordan and Matayo and why not Bryce, and if he can remain upright long enough to throw a pass, Jabbar would love to pick it off. Missed field goals were a huge problem in the losses last season, Atticus won't let that happen, though if everything goes the way it should, he'll just be needed for a lot of extra points.
Smith72 Moderator No. 5 Share Posted yesterday at 03:16 PM I simply love reading your articles! You really have a knack for wordsmithing. Thanks for all the writing you do for OBD Forum. I loved your wish for Duck fans, "There’s nothing Oregon fans want more than for the Ducks to pummel the Dawgs and hand the program a loss so devastating and decisive that it consumes Huskies fans in an atmospheric river of anguish."
OregonDucks No. 6 Share Posted yesterday at 03:26 PM (edited) You know what would really be funny (and a slap in the face to the Huskies) - if Oregon sits their starters because our spot in the B1G and playoffs are already guaranteed (just like NFL teams do). Haywarduck Moderator No. 7 Share Posted yesterday at 03:47 PM The most important game is always the next game, and, I will admit, this game may not be the most consequential. If we lose we still go to the championship game. So who cares about beating the dawgs next week? The only people who care are anyone with a pulse, and quite a few who don't, who are Duck fans. This game is so big winning isn't enough. We need to humiliate the dawgs program in order for this to be satisfying. Up by 50 in the fourth, and it is fourth down, we go for it, is what I say! GO DUCKS! This time harry the husky!

Solar No. 9 Share Posted yesterday at 04:57 PM #1 We have to try to beat the Huskies in case we lose in the CCG to make sure we would get home field advantage in the playoffs. #2 I have little confidence in our coaches spending as much time to figure out how to beat the Huskies as the Huskies' coaches will spend trying to beat us over this 2 week period. Our coaches will forever be distracted during the last off week of the season trying to recruit. #3 This game matters more to the Huskies than it does to us. We can only hope that the high level of transfers on their squad takes the edge off their piss and vinegar. #4 Thanks for the stats. Every stat difference between the teams except for the 3rd down percentage is within the margin of error from one game to the next. #5 The fans will show up at Autzen, that is the most predictable thing about this game. #6 Their new QB should help the offense play better than they would have with the old QB, since presumably he is a typical freshman getting better every week. We need to get him to make some bad freshman mistakes though. #7 Harper and Tez are unlikely to play much if at all, as we need them fully healthy later for the more important games that are coming later. I hope we show up refresh and ready to play our best ball of the year from the kickoff, because we may need it. We could put this game away early and really stomp them, but I just feel that given the above, it's more likely they will give us some real trouble. Those are my thoughts and concerns. 1 1
EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 10 Share Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM I'll go first and foremost with beat the Fuskies definitively. Provide enough highlights to make Ducks vs Them a meal of revenge best served cold. if Tez, Burch and Harper are good to go, limit their snap counts to keep recoveries on track for the B1G CG and beyond. Have a big enough 4th qtr lead to get the 2s on the O-line, D-line and in the WR room significant reps. While love the sentiment that "There’s nothing Oregon fans want more than for the Ducks to pummel the Dawgs and hand the program a loss so devastating and decisive that it consumes Huskies fans in an atmospheric river of anguish." I'd rather have Oregon leave Autzen Saturday with the understanding that UW is simply irrelevant and merely the cherry on top of OBDs undefeated regular season sundae. 1
Drake Moderator No. 11 Share Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM A rival game in late November should never be overlooked. Injuries, weather, and emotions are factors this time of year. Too much history for me to define this as a revenge game. While I would thoroughly enjoy a 56 - 0 trouncing, for me, it is important to see DG get into sync with his receivers, spread the ball around, and gain needed momentum going into the BCCG. Leave no doubt…SCODUCKS. 1

Steven A Moderator No. 15 Share Posted yesterday at 06:59 PM The only reason I wish this game was in Seattle is because by the start of the 4th quarter other than the Duck fans, the stadium would look like their spring game with dozens of ewe dub fans left. 3
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 16 Share Posted yesterday at 07:07 PM Thank you, Jordan. I come in favor of burying the dirty dogs and not praising them; however, I do have to give a Hats Off to Jedd Fisch for having UWho bowl eligible after losing 40 players from a champ game roster and losing a winnable game in Seattle to Wazzu. UWho is not to be confused with Mel Gibson's Road Warrior character. the Fuskies are Oh-Four on the road in 2024. But UWho has been a tough out in the Pacific Time Zone with the loss to WSU being its only Left Coast loss. This will be a Focus Game for OBD. Hard not to look ahead at the game on 12/7, likely versus No. 2 Ohio State. TOSU has enough of an advantage with the champ game being played in the Eastern time zone. And tOSU will be playing Michigan at Noon on Saturday. Here's hoping the Ducks get a 3:30/12:30 tee time and not a 10:30/7:30 tee time. But with the 8 games in a row schedule, why not give the Ducks one fewer day to prepare before tripping to Detroit? This season to date, Mel Gibson, takes a back seat to OBD. NBC I'm certain would love to have the Domers at USC game. So, come on CBS! Game time is 4:30 Pacific, not too bad.

woundedknees No. 18 Share Posted yesterday at 07:51 PM (edited) The name of the game should be, "Incivility Personified"... OBD need to leave no doubt who the whupped pup is. Or, should that be "whooped Poop"? Might need to clean some cleats before this one is over. Edited yesterday at 07:54 PM by woundedknees
PittDuck No. 19 Share Posted 13 hours ago I am thankful for what Dan Lanning has transformed OBD into. I am thankful to have the opportunity to see this year’s version of OBD reign havoc and chaos onto the putrid purple pups. I will be more thankful to look back and see that the thrashing of the mangy flea-bitten dogs set OBD up to run the table in the first year of the 12 team playoff. Go Ducks, show no mercy as you annihilate Uwho.
MicroBurst61 No. 20 Share Posted 4 hours ago I am sure that DL & Co. are using 0-3, 12-0, "our House", as Huge motivational factors. (Although I do Love the idea of Muhammad wearing his championship gear from last year.). But, most of all I believe they want to see mistake free execution, efficiency, and a command of all facets of the game to finish out a clean run through the regular season. Huskies will come in here, motivated, to ruin our perfect season and maybe get a lil into DL's head as the team he simply cannot beat. If Oregon doesn't beat "Oregon" this game should not be in doubt going into halftime. Would absolutely Love to see D Moore for the entire 4th quarter. (But need to score more than a field goal in the third!). A total beat down would be nice but I think getting as close to a "complete" game would actually be preferred. Leave No Doubt and a Warning to our Post-season opponents. 's 1
