30Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted December 14 osu2, been there done that, at least it's been longer since Oregon beat Tennessee. Tennessee vs Ohio State: Who Should Oregon Want to Play? - On3 WWW.ON3.COM The Oregon Ducks have been thrown into a situation where they'll play one of two opponents in the Rose Bowl. HappyToBeADuck No. 2 Share Posted December 14 For this Duck fan it doesn't matter who OBD's play. All the potential teams that we would have to play are capable of beatng the Ducks. I expect osu2 to beat the Vols. The buckeyes have better talent and depth. This Buckeye team also is motivated for the rematch. If the Ducks want to bring home the Natty they have to beat the Buckeyes. It does not matter what round it happens in. GO DUCKS....... 1
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 3 Share Posted December 14 For the PO $, Ohio State. For not having to beat a motivated team twice, Tennessee. Vols QB Nico has been good, not great, at home and average at best on the road. The TN D is very good. The tOSU D is the best in CFB. I think it will be the Buckeyes who win this day. Weather forecast for Columbus, Ohio on 10/21. High 30 degrees. Low 19 degrees. Wind 10-15 mph. With an 8 PM KO, it will be closer to 19 than 30 at the start of the game. The wind chill factor could be between 9 and 4 degrees. The last time Ohio State lost to Michigan and made the PO along with Michigan, Ohio State let it all hang out, and if Marvin Harrison had not been injured the Buckeyes likely win the game vs. Georgia and go on to defeat TCU in the champ game. In 2024 this Buckeyes team lost 2 games by 4 points.

Jon Sousa No. 5 Share Posted December 14 I agree with JJ about the money... but I still want anOSU to lose and for the Ducks to play the Vols. On the other hand, I prefer for my conference (whether I like it or not) to always win OOC... especially against the SEC. 1
30Duck Author Moderator No. 6 Share Posted December 14 I understand the $$$ saying , Go osu2! As for conference loyalty? The B1G didn't exactly go out of its way to make sure the Ducks had the best possible first year, so I'm fine with just having OBD dominate the B1G, the other 17 can root for each other, and I'd rather Oregon beat the SEC team. Go. Volls!!!!

If you lose to a mediocre Michigan at home, then the Vols are more than capable of coming into the Shoe and taking you down. Will be very interested to see if the Buck’s offense is struggling, will the boo birds come out? LOL.
Steven A Moderator No. 8 Share Posted December 14 I don't care; it's a win win situation. Beat osu and keep the streak going plus love the pressure on Day and whoever is his OC these days. Or, beat Tenn on the way to being the unofficial/official SEC Champs also. It don't matter to me (it's not about the Bread). . 1 1 2
JabbaNoBargain No. 9 Share Posted December 14 (edited) I know it’s a rivalry game, but that home performance against Michigan was beyond pathetic. 10 points at home for your last game of the year? I think we’re playing Tennessee. Edited December 14 by JabbaNoBargain 1
Dr Hilarius Moderator No. 10 Share Posted December 14 My head wants OSU2 to win and assert further B1G dominance over the SEC and crush UTn. And for the $$$. My hearts wants OSU2 (especially Ryan Day) to be humiliated at home twice in a row. With the predicted weather, it could be the best of both worlds—they both play terribly but OSU2 squeaks out a lucky win (only to be destroyed 12 days later). 1
DanLduck No. 11 Share Posted December 14 I don't care. It feels like all of CFB has been aligned against our Ducks all year. From the schedule (8 games no break) to the questionable calls from the refs, to having the first 2 games held against us almost the entire year, to too few players recognized as all-American, Dillon being ignored for Heisman, Lanning not getting coaching recognition, little to no talk about going 13-0 AND winning the B1G in year 1, and on and on! We need to just WIN BABY, just win!! We need to run the table, beating all of them, so finally they all will have to admit the Oregon Ducks are the greatest of 2024! We know! Go Ducks!! 1 1 2

Nevada Dawg No. 13 Share Posted December 15 Until you reminded me of the pathetic performance against Michigan, I would have said OSU would win this game. I still lean that way. But Tennessee could surprise in this one. I also don't believe that OSU has the best defense in America necessarily. Defensive performance is largely a function of whom you play and the B1G , save OBD, has an abundance of low-octane offenses. When Tennessee is "on" they are anything but a low-octane offense. So this one is definitely a game in which I wouldn't have much confidence either way were I to lay a bet on it. 1
Solar No. 14 Share Posted December 15 OSU has a higher ceiling than UT. Also, it is indeed tough to beat the same team twice. That being said, the winner will be the team that is playing the best right now, so whoever it is will be tough. That's one more disadvantage for the bye team. Your opponent is playing winning football lately, and they are revved up and ready to go at kickoff. Bowl games are notorious for one team not showing up. It's tough to give kids so many weeks off, have fun with the bowl festivities, then come on the field laser focused. I hope Dan and his sports psychologist can do it though.

The Grateful Duck No. 17 Share Posted December 15 (edited) I want all the SEC teams to lose. Every single one of them, whether the Ducks get the chance to be one of the victors or not. Ergo, I'm rooting for the Buckeyes. Round 2 goes to the Ducks. OBD left (possible) points out on the field in the first game. The Ducks have shown 13 ways of winning and I expect 14 to be next. And that's just the first of 3.... The Ducks are hoisting a(nother) trophy! The 1st champion of the playoff era(s). Haywarduck No. 18 Share Posted December 15 I want to play Colorado after last nights little show. Loved how Gabriel showed his dislike for the buffs little jab at his stats with daddy deon and son whining about Gabriel being there. Not sure if others sensed DG's dislike, but it was palpable from where I was viewing it. If we played the buffs in the Rose Bowl there wouldn't be enough stretchers to help the players off the field! I would love to see the volunteers, and us march through the sec like we already did with the BIG. If we want to end this season in an epic way we need to do to the SEC what we already did to the BIG. 1 1 1

30Duck Author Moderator No. 21 Share Posted Sunday at 07:43 PM The Ducks did leave points on the board, they beat osu2 without Burch, I'll take Lanning over osu2's coach every day, and while the satisfaction of beating them again, for the 3rd time in a row would be great, I'd rather Tennessee just cleared them out of the way and let OBD granulize Rocky top,
