12 hours ago12 hr Administrator No. I know I was surprised. I felt that with Dak and Bryant out, we were in for a tough road. But having the beast and Harkey back was much bigger than I anticipated. The gophers looked pretty tough in other games,… Were you surprised? Mr. FishDuck
12 hours ago12 hr No. Single Game completion percentage, Oregon top 4 games.900 (27/30) Dante Moore – 11/14/2025 vs Minnesota.870 (20/23) Marcus Mariota – 11/3/2012 vs USC.857 (18/21) Dillon Gabriel – 9/7/2024 vs Boise State.852 (23/27) Bo Nix – 9/2/2023 vs Portland StateI suppose an argument could be made that 3 of these 4 were in dink and dunk offense. But, Moore had some throws today that were not dink. Hard to remember those other games. After watching the two monsoon games, and having a couple receivers out, I wasn't sure what we would see in the passing game.
12 hours ago12 hr No. They're been really bad on the road, so we shouldn't be too surprised I guess. But it's nice to dominate a team with a winning record.Moore going 27/30 was great to see against a team that supposedly has a great pass rush per the stats.I thought it was supposed to rain, but maybe that rain got diverted to So Cal for tomorrow..

12 hours ago12 hr No. It was really encouraging to see the Beast with 8 catches tonight. We need that level of production from our playmakers. Great night for Dante!
12 hours ago12 hr No. I was wowed by how well Dante slung the rock tonight. A truly awesome performance!
11 hours ago11 hr Moderator No. Ski-U-Nah - I wasn't surprised. When on the road, these Gophers tunnel. 😁
11 hours ago11 hr No. I expected the Oregon players to be better, especially the linemen. But I was surprised at how good the Duck skills players are. Amazing throws and catches. That is the kind of stuff we need to beat competitive teams. Very positive look from the backup receivers and TEs. The pass coverage could have been better for the Ducks. Benson looks good returning punts - he wants to take it somewhere, not just settle for the catch. Benson looks way better than Dak in my opinion both returning punts and at WR. Run defense was really solid. Matayo was active. LBs and DBs did a good job of flying to ball carrier and bringing him down without much YAC. Oregon looked like a well coached team. Lanning and the assistants always have a body language of 'focus' and 'what comes next'. PJ was throwing hissy fits. Not a good look - it says: my team sucks so I need the refs totally on my side to even have a chance. This is the kind of mediocre team (Minnesota), late season game, that Mario Cristobal would have played down to their level. Ducks are set up nicely for the USC game. Just need to get some of those receivers back. As the season winds down, the contenders will be separated from the pretenders - what are USC, Michigan, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Mississippi, Oklahoma, etc. going to be doing?
10 hours ago10 hr Moderator No. I was happily surprised by the success of our offensive balance forcing a good, aggresive defense into more of a waiting game.
10 hours ago10 hr No. My wife and daughter were screaming like banshees on the first couple of OBD series... they were initiating the 11 month old boy they were babysitting into the DUCK family. He ended up clapping and screaming "Go Ducks", too.
10 hours ago10 hr No. I honestly wasn't, Minnesota isn't quite as good as a 6-3 team as you would expect, they aren't bad by any means, but I had faith that our offense would show up, and I felt like our defense was a good match to what the Gophers want to do. We were at home as well in good weather. Great showing by the Ducks tonight!Having Sadiq back is a major upgrade for our passing offense.
4 hours ago4 hr Moderator No. I was not surprised by the defense. They only gave up 200 yards. I was surprised by the offensive output based on injuries at WR. I also heard Eugene was going to get a lot of rain based on weather reports earlier in the week, so I was also expecting a run-heavy offense like the last two games.
2 hours ago2 hr No. I was not surprised by the Ducks winning the game at home. Covering the spread against a team that has no fight on the road was no surprise, either. My surprises:A non raining Duck football game! Who knew........Taking the opening kickoff and driving down the field to score. It has been awhile!Sadiq and Johnson getting 12 catches for 153 yards. Some of those were big catches on 3rd down for 1st downs. Where has that been most of this year?Benson and McClellan stepping up to get open and make some great catches. With Moore and Bryant out those wanting to prove themselves capable, did just that. And for the secong game in a row, DM is actively reading the D and calling successful audibles. These are areas that needed improving by the Ducks! And the results show that improvement. It does not bode well for the Trojans that the Ducks are improving and have an extra day to heal, plan and practice.Go Ducks. For this Duck fan beating the Trojans and then the bastard leg-lifters is the cherry on top......
2 hours ago2 hr No. I thought they would try and run more and would not sling the ball around like they did. Moore and the skill players played fantastic. Two more to go.

Way to start the lil dude off right!
33 minutes ago33 min No. Below are my initial observations:• Dante Moore was spectacular (90% completion rate on 30 passes for over 300 yards and 2 TDs). He was a little off early in the game and his receivers picked him up with some spectacular catches. As RGIII said, tonight he made all of the throws. Hopefully this gives him some confidence, after a few miserable weather games, heading down the final stretch. • Kenyon Sadiq and our receivers. Wow. That’s all I can say. They made some spectacular catches - diving, in traffic, dragging their toe to stay in bounds. I can’t wait until we start getting healthy but everyone stepped up tonight and showed that they can ball out. • The defense played extremely well, as always but still has some room to improve to be considered elite. For example, the one Minnesota TD drive where they got burned for some chunk yards against really good calls against the defense formations (e.g., the run to the side we blitzed from). The one field goal was on our offense as they turned it over on our side of the field. Our secondary needs to start picking the ball off. • Why were the Minnesota players chirping against a superior team and down a few TDs? I just don’t understand it.
27 minutes ago27 min No. I was pleasantly surprised to see how deep our wide receiver room and tight end room truly are.
15 minutes ago15 min No. I doubt that any of us are surprised that we won the game, but I am extremely pleasantly surprised at how complete of a game we played... especially considering the injuries that we have. Once again, our defense was excellent. If I'm looking at it right, our D has only given up an average of 1.5 TDs per game, and many of those came late in the game during garbage time. And although we're talking about Minnesota, I am still very impressed with our run game. OBD put up about 180 yds, while averaging 6 yds per carry.Given that Dante was throwing the ball so ridiculously well, and all over the field, we really didn't need more yards out of our run game last night. I loved seeing our tight end studs getting the ball so often. I was impressed that Dante was quite often looking off the defense, and not locking on to one primary receiver. When he does this, and when he has time to do this, he is quite dangerous for our opponents. He also had some fakes that were, frankly, spectacular. And when he chose to run, he chose well.We have a very good team. But I'm still a bit confused by them. But if they continue to gel over the next two weeks and win out, and we get some players back, I think we could make a very interesting run in the playoffs. Edited 11 minutes ago11 min by Desert Duck
