Joe Flacco is still playing and starting at QB. There are 32 NFL teams, and many do not have an A-list QB.

In a rather weak QB class, Dante will be in demand.

Second season in a row Pete Carroll fired an OC mid-season. Even with a good roster I dont know how that is conducive to creating any kind of consistent offense.

Heck, if Stein leaves, I'd take him.

Doesn't have to recruit much since the rest of the staff is so good at it.

Plus, Chip kinda recruits just by being Chip the offensive guru, hello Dante. Kids remember the unis and Chip's high-octane offenses plus a Natty in '24/25, not his recent failure at UCLA or the NFL.

I actually thought Chip looked a little stale this year from the beginning, although in all fairness, he didn't have a tremendous stable of offensive talent to work with.

In 2007 Bellotti grabbed him from obscurity in New Hampshire, and Oregon agreed to pay him $150,000 to join the staff.

Imagine the $$$ that has gone through his bank account, including severance payments, from the Eagles, 49ers, and now Raiders. His coordinator salary at Ohio State was $2million, and his salary in Las Vegas was $6 million. He let UCLA off the severance hook by resigning but grabbed a nice salary.

I don't really feel sorry for him that "things haven't worked out." Every night he should be making an intercessory prayer in behalf of Bellotti.

At some point his guru cachet has to wear out?
