Like Charles, I hope Stewart and Dak are all the way back, and I want to see what Gatlin Behr brings to the O.

As Sir Notalot has posted, speed kills; let's see it on the field. I want to see more of Charles Bird Bombs. It's the Spring Game, so the O is likely to be vanilla, but I'm hoping Mehringer will let the dogs out.

Raiola? How much will he play, and is he healthy?

I watched a redated one-hour replay of the Michigan at Nebraska game the other day. Behind 30-20 late in the 4th Q, Raiola led a great drive to bring the Huskers within 3 points, 30-27, before Michigan recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.

He is now surrounded by better athletes than he played with at Nebraska. Will the talent and coaching help lift his game?

Best of luck to Kenyon Sadiq in the NFL. It was a great gesture on the part of Dan and his tight end coach, Mehringer, to be with Kenyon and his family in Idaho to watch him go in the first round.

Has Jamari Johnson continued to improve? He was a terrific under-the-radar portal pick-up in 2025. What do Kendre Harrison and Andrew Olesh bring to the TE table?

I hope to see athletic play out of the players vying to start on the O-line. It would be sweet to see if we have an OT close to Josh Conerly in athletic ability. There are many quality edge rushers in the B1G. Can they handle the quickness and also run block?

The DL starters? Perhaps the best starting group in CFB. What do the backups look like?

Just about to head to the store and get some food donations and head to the game. My yearly ritual that starts a new season! What am I looking forward to?

1. Which new comers pop to the eye? I still remember watching a new receiver make a routine catch, juke a million dollar shimmy and take it to the house. My introduction to the Tez Johnson era.

2. What former back ups look like legit starters? With all the guys skipping the draft and running it back, there aren't that many holes to fill. Still I want to see who steps up to fill them.

3. The battle of the lines. The D seems to have the upper hand with returning players but I'm always interested in seeing how the O line plays. I think this team will go as far as that group can take them.

4. The main thing I look forward to is a great day getting back to the stadium and whooping it up with thousands of other Duck fans!

Well that was... a spring game.

Well, if that wasn't the boring Spring Game I've seen at Oregon, then it HAS to be in my top-three.

The depth of the offensive line sure shows up in these Spring Games, with all the sacks. I have a couple of thoughts...

--I think my question about whether Evan Stewart and Dak Moore are healthy and fully recovered was answered!

--Aydin Breland sure had a game, (No. 42) and I'm glad to see his progress.

--I continue to be surprised by the talent and poise of walk-on Brock Thomas. It almost felt that he was making Akili Smith Jr. try a little too hard...

I didn't enough good from Smith Jr. to make me think he ever will be the guy.

Defense was clearly better than the offense as shown in the final score.

Offensive linebeing the worst I can remember in spring game history was the reason for the discrepancy. Very little in the way of rushing lanes or QB protection. Hopefully it's because of chemistry issue with mixing them up, and quality of defensive linemen, and not a sign of impending poor play and lack of depth.

I am nervous about special teams, as that unit had the most turnover from last season. And do we really have just one field goal kicker? I think Dan goes and gets another one in the portal after the game.

Brock was obviously ahead of Akili on this outing.

He seems to be playing so well that I wonder if they are thinking to redshirt Raiola next year (he can play in 8 games, depending on how deep of a run the Ducks make), playing BT as the number 2 QB on most outings????

That would give Raiola 2 years to start if he needed/wanted them.

The portal is closed. There is no longer a Spring portal.

I thought Brock Thomas played pretty good considering his competion. D was great was very good but it was a spring game. All in all I think the Ducks should do very good this season, And If for any reason DM goes down I think we will be a very competitive team.

I think the two misses were both from over 50 yards, he was good from 35 and 45. I think Hurych is thought to have a bit more leg than Sappington, today might have been the staff examining/testing that out?

I think Sappington was only the third UO kicker to finish his career with an 80%+ career FG percentage in the last 50 years, so back-to-back would be a nice step.

The interviews of former players was a distraction. Nice to see former players attend, but they seemed determined to interview all of them while the game is being played.

I think the best catch of the day had to be by coach Tez.

For everyone saying it was a boring spring game, I’ve been of that opinion since the Marcus debut. That being said, I’d wager that was a top-5 spring game experience nationally this year…spring games aren’t what they used to be, welcome to 2026.

Great atmosphere and actual (mostly) football action which is very rare

The DL is so good it’s impossible to gauge the OL imo. The only takeaways I have as a fan (no film) are that we are absolutely, ridiculously stacked at DL, WR, and QB. Hard to judge a new OL going against the best DL in CFB, while playing with a touch is a sack rule, in April.

Yes, both misses were from 50+ yards. The 1st attempt had no chance, the second drifted left but was close to going through the uprights.

There were a few big plays in the game, but for a Spring Game to be exciting, both Ds have to stink, right?

I recall one trick play in the game that was unsuccessful. With the talent on D Dan has assembled, and the D almost always ahead of the O early in the Spring and early in the season, and with split units, I would be surprised, and somewhat concerned, if both Ds had been lit up.

I quickly went over the game on YouTube. I don't think we really got to see the defense. But I do think the secondary is going to be special. The Elite WRs will challenge them (osu2 comes to mind). I think this will be as good a defense as my favorite (and what I consider the best defense), Mario's 2019 unit. If the LBs play as well as they did yesterday, we might have a very special unit.

Brock Thomas can start for anybody. He is even better than last year. He now can connect with the elite WRs downfield. Raiola is the real deal also. Smith Jr. is still struggling. No matter. We have the best QB room in the nation by far. It isn't even close. We'll have to see about the OL. Moore is going to need a strong unit-that is vital. I believe the other QBs have a better sense of timing and rhythm than Moore and I am concerned about his effectiveness overall. I hope he proves me wrong. I just see too much hesitation, and he seems to have reached his ceiling. I don't feel that way about Raiola and Thomas.

Overall, this is probably Oregon's most talented team ever. Like any year, there are weaknesses. But this group is so talented, it can overcome those weaknesses and stir up trouble for any other elite team. It's great to be a Duck.

Felt the size and athleticism of Moore, Raiola, Smith with run/pass option plays on the perimeter could create 2026 problems for opposing defenses. Not so much from Thomas. Line play difficult to make a judgement with players split between two squads.

As a rule, the only spring games that leave you impressed with the OL is when you have five returning starters that have been together for a minimum of two years. Otherwise, it’s just feast time for unleashed D linemen.

When it didn’t matter because no one else but us were paying any attention to Oregon spring games, coaches could open up the play book. With all eyes onboard, boring has become the new normal.

Can’t ever remember feeling this good about our QB room - top to bottom - nor its promise for the future. Portal can change all that in the time it takes to write a check ( or tap a transfer), but right now - wow
