  2. They're young. Adrenaline will kick in. Hats off to er, Mario? He made the coordinator hire of the year, bringing in off the radar Corey Hetherman from Minnesota. Ducks PO seeding luck, why not play the Canes on their home field in the title game? 🤪 As the higher seed, will OBD have the home team locker room? I despise the Sheriff of Fansville and tedious reviews of plays that shouldn't be reviewed to begin with. Thus, I'm on a two-hour tape delay, but I'll be back to rue, or hopefully savor, today's game. And OH(io), the Buckeyes need a better play caller. 😁 WRECK TECH!
  3. There may be an element of truth to Stein and Lupoi individually candle burning at both ends. Here's why I don't think it makes much difference. DL set the standard by the way he helped lead Georgia to the NC as DC. The player schedules are run by a network of trainers that optimize sleep time. I would imagine even with the intense game planning the coaches are practicing some of what they preach. The new OC and DC are already in place and will have a lot do with plans on both sides of the ball. Ohana. The players are invested not only in their own success, but in those of their coaches. DL has repeatedly said "You can sleep when you're dead". While maybe not sound medical advice, it is part of the culture at Oregon. Hard work and sacrifice. Much got said about the relative failings of the defense (and a little of the offense) in the second half against JMU. How it could be that Lupoi (and Stein) may not have had their heads and hearts fully engaged. Almost everything I saw in that second half of concern was more a matter of focus and execution, not scheme. I think Oregon will be fine from the standpoint of the coaching staff for today.
  4. My compliments to Mario Cristobal. I am sure that he is proud of the performance of his offensive line. The much-maligned Carson Beck played very well. I thought Mario did mismanage the game at the end of the first half, but luck was with Miami. OSU benefited from two dubious calls on long passes. I was surprised at how fast the game passed. Miami's unspectacular but efficient ground and short passing game allowed them to deny OSU much time of possession. How much did the layoff affect OSU? Without the interception return and missed field goal, this would have been a much different game.
  5. It wouldn’t shock me if much of the work load has already been shifted to their replacements already on staff.

  7. Ducks win 16-9 0 Turnovers 1 Sack 127 Yds passing
  8. Oregon 28 - 27 I turnover 2 sacks 234 yards passing
  9. Okay. I know Lupoi and Stein are tough grown men, but I can’t help but wonder and be concerned about whether they are at their bests to coach today. It is what it is at this point. Admittedly, they have each been duel tasking between the Ducks, and Cal and Kentucky respectively, for several weeks. They likely have had 20 hour work days or even pulled an all-nighter or two along the way. Now they have traveled three time zones and spent a couple of nights in hotels and foreign conference centers with the team while balancing media and game preparations. Are they really at their best, or does the compounded workload and pressures imperil their best thinking and sideline performance? I want to think they have lived in that world for years and are at the top of their craft. But I just keeping thinking that the past weeks have taken a toll on the Ducks’ OC and DC that might show up today.
  10. Orange Bowl features explosive offenses, tough defenses, layoff problemAutzen ZooOrange Bowl features explosive offenses, tough defenses,...After Miami's 24-14 upset of No. 2 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, teams coming off the College Football Playoff bye are 0-5 in the quarterfinals.
  11. Oregon safety Trey McNutt upgraded on eve of Orange BowloregonliveOregon safety Trey McNutt upgraded on eve of Orange BowlShould McNutt make his collegiate debut, the No. 5 Ducks would have four scholarship deep safeties available.
  12. Oregon 22-19 1 Turover 1 Sack 198 Passing Yards
  13. It took the Golden Archie until the last day of the year to play like this? Hey, Arch, your Dad needs a new lid. Can you afford it?
  14. Pardon me for not reading all the comments (many I did read were insightful though). As I was reading pre-game comments on the Talk'n Dawgs site, many of the coach-types who hang out there started coming across like Miami would be the more physical team and ITO should be favored in this one. One guy even reached out advising me to get my butt to one of the local casinos and lay a healthy bet on the Canes. I should have listened. Their view (pre-game mind you) was that Miami would be a tougher match-up for the DAWGs than the Suckeyes. At this point I am just hoping that the Dawgs can be the first beat the jinx of having a bye, so as to earn the right of playing Miami in the semi-final next week. If that happens of course, it would indicate that OBD had taken care of Texas Tech and earned a semi-final berth. Go Ducks and Dawgs.
  15. He needed to call a couple time outs.
  16. Happy New Year to All! (At least on the Right Coast 😁) Wreck the Heck Out of Tech! Mario is 2-0 vs. Ryan Day 🤪WOW!
  17. Well, OsucU fans will certainly complain how their team were disadvantaged by being off for 25 days and the rules need to be changed! They are of course the best team in the country... "The rules will need to be changed because everyone cheats against us!"
  18. Ducks 35 - 17 1 TOs 5 Sacks 287 passing
  19. Haha, two of those guys at least are transferring out of the program, so...
  20. Agree.. Our defense was better last year.
  21. Once upon a time, a man said: The Last Shall Be First. Wreck Tech!
  22. Kinda surprised that a couple of guys that are in the defensive rotation would opt out to transfer Especially on a DL led squad
  23. The PHYSICALITY just got props from the on field reporter... Probably made Mario's night.
