  2. No Noah to start, Lamar gets the nod. NW playing stiff defense on the first series. Time for the D to do it's job.
  3. Let's get the sleep out of our eyes...
  4. LETS GET THIS GAME DAY THREAD STARTED. GO DUCKS!!Oregon football vs. Northwestern
  5. Today
  6. Hey Mike, Everything is great on my end. Hope all is well with you! Looking forward to talking some ball this season!
  7. When you really think about it, it a 4-3 with a safety at MLB. So none of it is new really, just a different personnel grouping. And Knowles has been doing it a while. And they’ve really only run zone out of it so far.
  8. Part of me can't believe this is a relatively new concept. Just basic physics to lay you players out in a way to cover the highest probability of locations the football will go on a run play or RPO. It's a simple pyramid with the LOS as the base. Also because it's symmetrical it doesn't give the QB any clues. It does perhaps force more man coverage, and is probably most vulnerable to play action passes, but I think that like much of the mint defense, the expectation is rapid recognition and extreme athleticism will make up for those disadvantages.
  9. Player availability, mostly the same except Whittington. Don't risk him. Oregon has multiple changes to its availability report before Northwestern; Noah Whittington questionable
  10. This may be Terry's best chance to win this season. My Pick: OREGON I want to say 10-48, but given the other predictions clustered there I won't win, so I'll go with: 9-54 3 TOs 3 Sacks 280 yards passing
  11. Oregon may indeed be the best team in the country and it may not even be close. They may also have the easiest first four game schedule in the history of football. Those two things combined make accessing this team difficult. They are so deep on offense, they can spread around the receptions and rushes to their entire roster throughout the game. There is no need to lean on any one player at any position so nobody is going to accumulate the stats that will send them to the top of the charts. Even our sensational QB won't be able to accumulate that many passing yards because the games will be so blown out early, passing won't even be needed after halftime. The defense also looks all world at every position but every offense they play up till PSU is only offensive to the word offense. No offense to the first four teams but no offense is their problem. I'm loving what I'm seeing as they do appear to be the best team in the nation, we just have to wait until game five to see it against a team with a pulse. UCLA, OSU and OSU would all kill to have our fourth string start for them.
  12. Thanks Jordan for a fun read! As a long time, grey beard Duck fan I am not sure this is a different Team than past aquads. Then I ask myself as a fan why do I feel diffetently about this 2025 team? Even during the great seasons since and during the Joey Harrington era, i have had concerns, worries and anxiety before, during and after every game. Case in point, the 2024 games with Idaho, BSU and all the remaining games up and thru the Rose Bowl. A constant roller coaster ride season after season. It took Dante Moore and the offense just a few plays and the defense a few series and the rollet coaster ride stopped. This team is different! Seeing is believing. Seeing this squad execute and perform has eased my anxiety. Of course it is way to early for Natty talk! The path to the title game will and has some nasty, NFL talented teams face off with our OBD's. Cannot wait for this group to prove that the current hype is real. We will have a better picture after the white out game. Is this not fun? GO DUCKS.......
  13. Just watched highlights and I can't believe how bad UCLA has become. They aren't just bad, they are a few steps below awful.
  14. Thanks Jordan for today's article. I always look forward to you entertaining wordsmithing. "These ain’t your grandpappy’s Men of Oregon — these are Odin’s berserkers reveling in the spoils of their plunder."
  15. If there were any lingering doubts about whether Oregon belongs among college football’s heavyweights, the Ducks have opened the season with the subtlety of a belching orc, mercilessly collecting pelts to improve 2-0 heading into their first conference game. These ain’t your grandpappy’s Men of Oregon — these are Odin’s berserkers reveling in the spoils of their plunder. I’m not ... Ducks Crash Heavyweight Ranks With Ferocious Start
  16. UCLA crushed at home by New Freaking Mexico 35-10. Nico may have destroyed his career going there.
  17. Ducks, 49-3 2 TO 2 sacks 335 yards in the air.
  18. Oregon 63-7 3 take-aways 4 sacks 305 passing yds
  19. Holy Hoosier! 73-0 over Indiana State. I guess the 3-0 Hoosiers were perfect from the 3-point line. 😁 Interesting game next Saturday when the about-to-be 3-0 Illinois visits 3-0 Indiana. Meanwhile, Syracuse brushed off (🤪) Colgate 66 to 24.
