Love the Uni's they are wearing Sat. These Uni's will make SC's look like very old school and out of date, not cutting edge, or not state of the art. Youngsters need the sizzle, not plain. Dont ever underestimate ART of recruiting.

Personally, I loved our uniform combo at the B1G Championship game last year. This is basically the same thing with the winged helmets instead of the "O". I have zero problem with it whatsoever. I do, however, wish we didn't overuse the black combos earlier in the season. Rolling this out for USC only would have been 🔥🔥🔥. DanLDuck brought up the uniform-reveal Wednesdays running out of steam. I'd have to say I agree. The athletic department already puts out the fan color-scheme before the season starts. It would be awesome to go back to the days of the reveal being when they do the walk-out at the Mo!

Well maybe the USC players will not see them as well either. The Ducks will be flying in stealth mode. FWIW uni color won't matter when running the ball. The game will be played in the bright afternoon sun.

I'm predicting at least 2 of the top 4 CFP seeds lose again. Being off for a month creates too much rust. Having a home game to start the playoffs, I think is going to turn out to be very important, if they keep 1st round games at home. I personally think the 1st round and quarterfinals should be home games for the CFP. A bye is nice and all, but a home game is better.

And annually tgey cry; it was Oregons fault and PK's money that denied them their title. (Spoiler alert Trojan fans: Don't move into a conference with tOSU and Michigan, if you want titles) Now that OBD's are in the BIG, your trifecta of disappointment is complete! The self appointed title holders limped into the BIG with an inaugrual 7-6 season that included 3 straight losses to Minnesota, PSU and Maryland. Now thats how you win titles. (OBD's, I think won the BIG title, however I need to ask a great friend who is a die hard Trojan fan, just to confirm.) Scoreboard since joining the BIG: USC 15-8 Ducks 22-2 None of this matters. Smack talk is useless unless OBD's wins this Saturday. Let's hope the Ducks come out on fire, smack Troy in the mouth and put on a show. The road to the Natty started right after the loss to IU. SC is not IU but is a better opponent than anyone we have faced since. Let's make it a very sad flight back to LA for the truly spoiled children GO DUCKS! Marcus is also going to be inducted into the University of Oregon Hall of Fame this year so that would make sense. Plus, you won’t find a better representative for the school.

I always see the crowd argument come up again and again, but the fans are so elevated up off of the playing surface that it's got to be a complete non-issue. The only way this could be an issue is if the backdrop of the walls around Autzen are also black, and even then, I just don't see it being an issue. At the very most, the top portion of a player's helmet MAY blend into the crowd, and that's only if they're running a shorter route. It's not like Dante is sitting on the turf when he makes a throw. Like most everyone here seems to be, I'm also bored of the black. I miss nightmare green so much.

You bring up a good point about the dark uniforms. I know the changing uniforms is part of Oregon's DNA and appeals to the players and I'm all in favor of that. But with all the technology that goes into developing athletic apparel today you would think the role of color, as Grandpa Duck pointed out, might be turned into a competitive advantage, rather than just treated as a fashion statement.

It's pretty much the same uniform they wore in the B1G CG. I know everybody expected them to break out the Ohana uniforms since they are selling that gear online for this game. However, they've already broken out the special event uniform for the year against Beavis. I'm not worried too much about black uniforms against a black clad crowd. It worked against Ohio State, but there was also enough red in the crowd to create a good amount of contrast.

Many Duck fans feel that playing Penn State in Indianapolis for the B1G Championship last year was a disadvantage when OBD was the #1 seed vs Ohio State in the Rose Bowl Bowl over two weeks later.

There's talk in Georgia and Ole Miss, that they don't want to make it to Atlanta. Both would prefer to have a home playoff game to replace playing a CCG. Is this the same in Eugene? I admit it would be fun to see Alabama or Notre Dame up in Autzen.

I am hesitant to admit this, but I am totally weary of uniform-reveal-Wednesday. I seldom am thrilled with the choice. But my opinion matters little. Apparently the players love it, so...it is what it is. I remember the first black uniforms, against USuC years ago on Halloween weekend I think. When the team came out of the tunnel the fans went crazy! I was there. It was amazing. Here's hoping that these black uni's bring back those good vibes and we crush the condoms!
