Mario's Busy Working
His team got embarrassed less than 24 hours ago, his mom is quite ill, and he's gotta be stressed with all that's happening (or not). Yet, there he is, out on the trail. Being a major college coach isn't easy.

Is Mario A Bad Boss?
CJ noted in another thread that the Ducks have now gone through 6 coordinators in 5 years, the most recent taking a significant step down. Is Mario hard to work for and get along with? Being relentless, demanding and driven sound good, but a boss like that can drive people out. Especially one who does not listen to input, is stubborn, and will not change, despite evidence that change is needed. Mario seems to be great with kids and their families, but is he too much for his employees?

Canzano: "Last Night Leaves Questions"
Canzano is a big Mario fan, and wants him to stay. So, Canzano's questions have to do with whether he goes or stays. He's not talking about the questions that circle around Mario's abilities, questions that IMO are valid.

Most Troubling Quote from MC’s Presser?
Absolutely. It's pretty simple: if he were sure he was staying in Eugene he would say so. He hasn't said so.

GameDay Thread of Pac-12 Championship Game: the MENTAL, Not the Physical Side Will Win
Not looking forward to hearing the usual coach-speak from Mario. I think he owes the fans, at least, an apology.

Mario, Utah has given you two beat downs in all ways, offense, defense, coaching, attitude, preparation. The Utes are laughing on the field. What do you have to say?

Absolutely. This game is a sign of rot on the inside. I don't think Mario's agent has a lot of leverage after this.

I have not been in the Mario-out camp, but these two Utah games, especially this one, are making me reconsider. They've been really poor efforts from top to bottom and side to side. Something is not working and needs to change.

If anyone nationally even cares about Oregon, they're laughing at the total fail. Tough talk, no action.

Can Oregon pull out of the Georgia and BYU games next season? It won't be fair to play them.

Trying to think of a Ducks game in recent history that was this much of a total collapse. Ducks' players look completely beaten, as they well have been; taken to the woodshed and schooled. No fire, no heart, no desire. It's really bad to see this at the end of the season.

Something is wrong inside the Ducks' program. No clue what it is, but this look twice in three weeks is not the sign of things going well behind the scenes,

Ouch...Herbie says "only one team showed up tonight".

Kinda embarrassing to be a Ducks fan. Glad I'm not out in public.

Mario has some serious explaining to do...about how a game like this happens 2 out of 3 weeks. How a team apparently can't learn a thing, or improve a thing. Why he keeps doing the same thing over and over and over, when that thing isn't working.

Prime time again, national television again, egg laid on the big stage again. Not healthy for the program going forward. Some fans wonder why the Ducks don't get national respect. We're seeing the reason why for the second time in two weeks. And, Verone holding up that "Thorpe" whiteboard? He should be worrying about the game, not his post-season award possibility. Poor look.

Opinion question: if the game continues like this, will AB get pulled?

AB, our Jekyll & Hyde quarterback, is having another of "those" games. When he starts this way, he does not improve.

This offense is simply sad. Sad, sad, sad. Why not put in TT? It literally could not get much worse.

Put a pause on that contract extension for Mario until after this game.
