  1. I'd like to see someone, like Jim Radcliffe, who has practical experience as well as an academic background in things like biomechanics. There's a lot more to strength and conditioning than yelling at players to do one more rep.
  2. How about Michigan wins 7-0 on a pick-6? That way we can both feel great about Lanning and get an SEC loss.
  3. Time to make sure the compliance department is fully staffed.
  4. This kid is amazing; he appears to be someone who gets the most out of everything he does in life. He's a joy to watch play, and I suspect he will be successful at whatever he does when his playing days are over.
  5. A perfect illustration of the Peter Principle.
  6. I wanted both #2 and #4. They're not mutually exclusive. Too many unpredictable factors to go with #5.
  7. People seem to love to hate on Herbstreit, but I've always found him to be quite good at his job.
  8. As one who was once called to the principal's office for throwing shade at fellow commenters, I have to hand it to Principal Fischer for creating a unique environment. It's an environment that takes a lot of work to maintain, and a strong character from the leader. Like in almost everything (such as football), good leadership is critical, and we have it here. It's not for everybody, but that's just fine. For example, we have no Loother (props to Log Haulin for the reference; I'd forgotten about that troll). Merry Christmas to everyone!
  9. It's official on Tuioti
  10. Well, Delta State is now apparently out of the playoffs, so could be.
  11. Jon, you may be off on some of the details, but I think your big picture is correct. As in all areas of business (and college football is most certainly a business) we see nothing but consolidation; the big get bigger and the rest fall by the wayside. I don't see any forces in college football to prevent the consolidation into a Super League. But remember what happened to the "real" Super League. It lasted less than 72 hours when the fans revolted.
  12. Miami will be under water before any new stadium gets built.
  13. Signed Friday night.
  14. Tru dat. The longer they delay their decisions, the better the chances for the good guys.
  15. The predictions for both McMillan and Moss are for "not Oregon": Moss to USC, McMillan to Arizona.
  16. Exactly...it appears that the SEC thinks they could exist as a stand-alone league, having nothing to do with the rest of college football. I suspect they're correct in their thinking.
  17. Sure! Shakana Santa, Shake It by Bo Dollis & The Wild Magnolias Rebel Jesus by The Chieftans & Jackson Browne White Christmas by Clyde McPhatter & The Drifters Getting Ready For Christmas Day by Paul Simon
  18. It ain't just the portal, college football in general is in chaos.
  19. Gotta admire this kid. Hope it works out for him in the years to come.
  20. Charles, are there not a host of regulatory and legal requirements for charitable organizations? This one would seem ripe for its statements, it seems to me. Salaries, overhead, donors, expenses, donations, etc.
  21. Yeah, saw that. Apparently, Riley and USC are not going to sweep every loose playing rattling around in the portal.
