  1. Great question - I have been trying to look into this as well and there is not a lot of concrete details. I did find this on the CFP official website "The highest seed will receive preferential placement for the Playoff Semifinal bowl assignment." So how I read that is the Ducks would be able to choose the location of their game. If it was against Texas I feel they would choose the Orange Bowl due to trying to make it more of a neutral site game. 2. Rumors were Evan Stewart had the flu bad and barely made the trip. Also rumored that multiple defenders were down pretty bad with the flu. Makes you feel a whole lot better about the game.
  3. Personally I don't like it. The moment you put your name in the portal is the day you no longer are part of the team. There is a 2nd portal window open in Spring that players can use if they want to switch schools. If your team is in the playoffs there should only be one thing on their mind.
  4. Dante has impressed me this season. Not what he has done on the field, but what he has shown on the sideline. As fans, I think we're all a bit cautious about the 5-star hype, especially after the disappointment of Ty Thompson. While Moore clearly has the talent to be a great quarterback (he’s a 5-star with a massive arm), next season will reveal whether he's taken this year seriously and has truly absorbed the lessons from sitting behind DG. Here’s why I’m confident he will succeed: 1. He learned from the best - Whenever you see him on the sideline or in any of Oregon's marketing videos, Dante is always closely observing DG. He’s had a front-row seat to learn from one of the best in college football, from film study to leadership. Few quarterbacks have had a better mentor at the college level. 2. He has Will Stein coaching him up and developing him. WS has shown the last 2 seasons he sets his quarterbacks up for success with play calls. Hopefully Stein is still the OC next year. 3. As someone mentioned above the schedule looks favorable next year. He isn't going to be thrown into the fire (like he was at UCLA) 4. Supporting cast - this is what the Oregon offense is built on. A QB does not need to come in and light it up and make magic happen. This offense is setup to dink and dunk all the way down the field and get the ball in your playmakers hands. He doesn't need to be a hero to be successful. Just a really good game manager.
  5. Here are the Heisman finalists who are invited to NYC: Dillon Gabriel Travis Hunter Ashton Jeanty Cam Ward If anyone is feeling really confident in DG winning the Heisman his odds currently sit at +30,000. Looks like Travis Hunter is going to run away with it. (Snaps aren't a stat)
  6. Great look into Ajani's path to Oregon.
  7. A look back at a truly special regular season. Not done yet though!
  8. Yes. Ducks will be in the Rosebowl 1/1.
  9. Marcus Harper is back! https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/tez-johnson-oregon-ducks-football-jordan-burch-241529898/ .
  10. Fully agree with everything you mentioned Charles. The rest of the Country won’t agree but that’s ok. During media day DL was asked “how will you adjust to the Big 10?” and his response was “they’ve got to adjust to us”. Ain’t that the truth! No more leather helmet playing style teams will be winning the big games.
  11. I guarantee they would not just flood these tickets to the open market for the opposing team to pick up. There will be plenty of students that stick around for this game if the Ducks happen to have a home game.
  12. I don't think this is being talked about enough. We all saw it with our own eyes what game 7 and 8 looked like. I expect this to play a very big factor. Also - as mentioned above. It will be interesting to see if rotations are a little different moving forward now that redshirt restrictions do not come into play. Will we see some players that we havent seen that much throughout the year? Sione? Dink at RB? Who else?
  13. So how do these “commitments” work when they are planning on going on a LDS mission for two years? Are they required to play a season with the school they sign with when they get back? Or can they decide at that time where they want to go? Seems strange to commit to a team 3 years from now.
  14. There are levels to this... how can you not want to run through a wall for this coach? We are all witnessing something special. Lets soak it all in.
  15. DL in his presser said there will be 15 early enrollees, but did not name any names.
  16. Seeing Dante sling the ball a couple times this last weekend gave me quite a bit confidence in him next season. He took this year as a learning opportunity and followed DG around like a shadow. He has every tool needed to be elite and now that he took the time to learn from a veteran QB he will be a stud for at least the next two seasons for OBD. We don't need Arnold.
  17. Oregon lands athletic EDGE Tobi Haastrup out of Texas What an awesome story. This dude played his first football game about 4 months ago.
  18. Last I saw was $17 gets you in the door for the CCG. Thank you osu2!
  19. I was reading about the Conference Championship game and it mentioned that attendance might be low for this game due to PSU last minute invite and Oregon fans not wanting to travel to Indy since it is so far away with the anticipation of more playoff games down the road. What are your thoughts on Oregon fans traveling to these upcoming games? My guess is a lot of people will be saving their money for the playoff games and hopefully the natty. Are you planning on attending any or all of the games over the next month or so?
  20. At first glance some major disrespect from the defensive side. Matayo and Harmon should both be first team. And how is Jabbar nowhere to be found? He is so dominant teams don't even throw his way.
