IMHO the whole time difference and travel narrative has been blown out of proportion. This isnt like you and I are travelling from EUG to Michigan. They are on a chartered flight and the game is at 12:30PST. Treat it just like a game on the West Coast at 12:30. And knowing Dan and his obsession with getting everything perfect he has every tip and trick in the book from NFL folks and sports medicine professionals to make it as smooth as possible.

Other than tOSU game the 2nd half performances almost seem on purpose. Over the last two games the lead was very comfortable so no need to go out and show anything new on tape or to put our players in a spot to get injured. With the CFP style points no longer matter. I expect the same to happen at the big house. Get up by 20+ at half and then get home fast and healthy.

This 1000%! Its shaping up to be a long season and we cant have have JJ carrying the ball 15-20 times a games. Get some fresh legs in there after the first couple of drives and really see who starts to stand out between Limar and Harris.

I have never really thought about this until now, but maybe Dillon Gabriel saw the writing on the wall way before everyone else. He has been around a lot of programs in his time and maybe he saw the direction the program was heading internally and said woah hold on a minute I need to get out of here. And then it probably took just one call with Lanning and his decision to leave became a no brainer. Do I stay on a sinking ship or jump to the fastest rising program in the Country and have a shot to compete for a championship in my last college season?

Agree with this. To add a couple things. Style points don't matter anymore. Protect your players from injury and protect your playbook. Its a long season. Games are shorter now than they were before with the new rule of the game clock running on first downs. That can eat a good chunk of the clock when you are getting first down after first down.

More than likely Jeanty will be on a top 10 team when the season is over. And even if he isnt that shouldn't matter. The heisman last year was on a team with 3 losses. If he keeps it up for the rest of the season I will be disappointed if he does not win the Heisman as he is absolutely dominating. Hard to not root for this kid.

What makes it even sweeter is that the kick bounced off of Denzel Burke who got absolutely torched all night by DG. He sure had a night he wants to forget.

So I am definitely not the person more knowledgeable... BUT I watched this replay a couple times and I can understand why DG did not have the confidence to throw that ball. Even though it looks like Tez is wide open, I am sure DG had some PTSD from the last two games where he threw two interceptions on out routes in the end zone. He does not have the arm strength to confidently throw that ball across the field without the risk of a hidden defender slipping the route and having an easy stroll to a 100 year pick 6...

I was going to do an offensive line appreciation post but knew Fishduck himself would chime in! Other than two bad snaps (that I remember) they were absolutely incredible last night. Leading up to the game all we heard about was how incredible their interior lineman were, but thinking back I don’t know if their DL names were mentioned once during the game for making a big time play. The O-line is turning into one of our strengths with James running like a man with bad intentions. BTW - James ran for more yards than their 2 big name RBs. Talk about making a statement for our O-line!!!

Not sure I agree. USC was extremely close to making it 3 huge wins for the old PAC teams against the historically top 3 teams in the B1G. If USC would have beaten Penn State then it would have completed the trifecta of tOSU, Michigan, and Penn State losing to the “soft” teams from the PAC in a two week span.

And then his last statement in the post game press conference DL said “if you see any good players, tell them to come here.” Love it!
