  1. Savior may be a bit strong, but I’ll take being B1G champs out of the gate.
  2. Maybe he didn’t start being a real life big boy sports writer until just after we won in the shoe, so he missed that one? 😂 I do think they’re getting more than they bargained for in picking us up in what almost felt like an afterthought, and it’s starting to sink in with some of the fans. Our overall athletics resume for 23-24 has got to be at least top-3 in the new league, well at least for sports that can show up on ESPN. They’re starting to sound like USC to me, Trojans are still chapped about our new brotherhood.
  3. He doesn’t even execute his bio cleanly.
  4. LOL - Author AUTHOR: DANIEL FISHER Daniel Fisher Daniel Fisher is a sports writer for Gridiron Heroics covering the NFL and College Football. He has been covering the NFL and College Football for the past two years and with a focus on the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes.
  5. Complete garbage written like it’s 1984, which means it was probably written by a B1G honk who thinks it’s 1984. I’d take an additional step, how has any HC (to date) that left ever done?
  6. Definitely a good point. Need to beat them into the ground. That being said, the first two games are from a different era (end of coach B, year one of Chip)...and I take any result from a lower tier bowl with a huge grain of salt.
  7. Day after Thanksgiving matchup with a couple of mid-majors doesn’t necessarily apply to us. Never say never though. 😆
  8. If memory serves me, they are trying to go independent.
  9. One thing I wonder about, as we start to see “Top G5” rankings come out with Liberty and BSU rated in the top 3 almost universally…are the PIG2 being included with that grouping and really not cracking anyone’s top 10? I'm guessing most of these G5 rankings have an eye towards who can get the playoff birth? Good to be in purgatory Beavis. Going to be a serious “reality sandwich” if Beavis stoops to a G5 schedule affiliation while clinging to being in the PAC, and then proceeds to go 6-6.
  10. It’s interesting to see how much denial their fans are still in. The same thing has happened with every sport this year, yet they continue to be surprised and looking for some other reason they lost entire rosters once each season ended. One day I may start to feel empathy for Beavis, but today is not that day. Enjoy the bean counting victories…your reality sandwich is fast approaching.
  11. Oklahoma State is close from what I hear. If that’s considered quality
  12. Sure I get all that and you’re right on…it’s still a slate of terrible QB’s 😉
  13. True, one can never discount the magic of Cristobal. That being said, the dude struggled with good weapons in the ACC and is coming in at #2? Mama Mia!
  14. Nice article, fun one. I’ve commented many times that 4 of the top 5 contenders in our new conference had new Qb’s, but hadn’t looked beyond that. Have to say, on the surface that’s not exactly murderers row. A washout from Miami makes the top 2, while what used to be the backup QB at Idaho, outranks the guy he used to back up who apparently isn’t good enough to start at OSU? Ethan Garbers at UCLA is the 5th best we’ll face? Seems like a lot of guesses at this point, but that has to be the weakest slate of QBs we’ve faced in decades.
  15. I’d probably add Miami to that equation, and possibly UNC. The “who”, and who they beat will probably be a big factor.
  16. Yeah, I think it will take something extraordinary for the B12 or ACC to get 2. I’m talking like an 11win team that finishes second. Last year the second place teams would have been 10 win Louisville and 9 win Oklahoma State at the end of conference play. Highly doubt they would get the nod over a team with 9+ win team(s) from the big 2. Time will tell!
  17. My post was envisioning a world where the ACC loses its brand names to the big-2, leaving the B12 to try to claim being #3. It’s absolutely a lot of leftovers if the top 4-6 brands in the ACC go to the big-2. All signs point to the ACC falling apart, or greatly diminishing prior to 2036. As to the playoff, I don’t think there's any way the SEC and B1G don’t get at least 3 each. Hard to get to 12 if those 2 only provide 4 teams combined.
  18. Agree. Also interesting that the ACC (which has multiple big brands, B12 has none starting in August) does so much better than the B12…yet is supposed to be the next to fold. If that’s not a sign we’re headed to a codified “super-league”, I don’t know what is. The B12 is not a legitimate #3 football conference.
  19. I think it’s fine. If we can’t beat Purdue on a short week then we’re going 7-5. They have a short week too…and they’re Purdue.
  20. That’s cool, I didn’t realize the PIG2 retained their auto-bid! Good for them, shrewdly in control of their destiny.
  21. Extra day to recover before tOSU and UI…short week for MSU and Purdue. I think washes out favorably overall, slightly. 😆
  22. I think it’s certainly possible, but I’d never bet on it. Going undefeated is really tough…just look at how many close calls UW had against random teams last year. Something that seems to be getting glossed over a bit is that all the B1G contenders outside of PSU are starting new QB’s. Everyone is assuming they’ll all be just fine, but only time will tell. BTW, does anyone else struggle to remember the acronym B1G? I have to look it up every time. I always want to initially use B10 or throw in the letter T somewhere. 😆
  23. Based on the structure of the question was definitely Mike B for me. Accurate expectation or not, I expected to win every game starting with Bellotti. However I love the point that PK was not involved, and was actually estranged with the UO for a period of time. He didn’t get involved until after Brooks broke through, and more specifically, after the Cotton Bowl beat down. Beavis loves to gloss this over. We actually accomplished something prior to PK being involved.
