5-Star QB Jaden Rashada Visiting This Weekend
Duck 1972 replied to Orebcker's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I don't know about the rest of u but the way the players are advertising their commitments now is just to much. What a bunch of prima donnas. I'm now questioning if I even want him on our team. I'm hoping I'm wrong but I don't feel like it. -
Kickoff Time Set For Season Opener Against Georgia
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
At least they don't have us playing at 9 a.m.. That would have really leveled the playing field like last year at tOSU. -

NIL World--It's a Full-Blown Race to the Bottom Now
Duck 1972 replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I believe that by being a part of the NCAA you have to abide by their laws and rules no matter what an individual state say are it's laws. The way I understand it the current rules say you can not affect the choice of player of where he goes to school especially HS recruits. Once they decide then the old rules are gone due to the Supreme Court at the current time. At least it is something and the NCAA does intend to enforce it. -

Does This Surprise You About Noah Sewell Pass-Rushing?
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
How ever they are used are defense will dominate almost every team we play this year. It's time for the green swarm to stomp people. -
I guess this makes sense What will stop the big boys from stockpiling top players if they eliminate the 85 player limit for 2 years I like a approach where if u lose a player in the portal or injury you can replace him 1 for 1. We would still have the limit which has been a blessing of making a level playing field. I don't wish to go back to the old days of stockpiling by the blue bloods.

Josh Pate Recruiting Assertion: Just How True IS THIS?
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Agreed. There's been no championships without the over 50% blue chip 4* and 5* players ratio since we installed the playoffs in "14". Don't know before then but it's probably the same. -
To me it's just 1 tool in a large tool box. Nothing can account for a kids heart and discipline. Then the variables of life thrown in and all you have is probabilities

Another Pac-12 Monday Here in Left Coast Land
Duck 1972 replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I believe today the NCAA came out to say they will be looking at tampering by boosters especially if they are recruits. They still have rules on the books that will be the same for NIL impropriety. I saw somewhere on the net that there was a report by USC backers on YouTube stating they had a NIL deal set up with Addison before he even put his name in the portal.. If so that's a provable infraction. I believe this is what Narduzzi was complaining about. -
What do You Want More, a Win Over Georgia or Utah?
Duck 1972 replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
We can and will do both. These Ducks are on a mission. Kind of like 2010 we got beat up by tOSU in Rose Bowl. Came next season and we went undefeated in regular season. I see same scenario happening this year. We have the knowledge of winning big games on the road, talent, experience, motive (stink from the end of last year), new inspiring coaching staff and the Oregon Way. What else do you need. Oregon’s QB1: Who Gets The Nod Week 1?
Duck 1972 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I believe the question is about our OL being able to pass block versus being able to dominate in the run game like last year. If as I suspect and OBD utilizes our team strengths we will again be using a QB who can also run as well as hit the deep explosive plays. In my view that's Nix if he's fully recovered from last year's injury. -
Don't know if it matters a ton. You still need the Jimmy and Joes

Diamond Ducks Lose to Beavers 4-0, Swept by OSU
Duck 1972 replied to ICamel's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ouch we just have to get better pitchers (I know our top 2 are out from injuries. Although while typing this the thought also came we only scored on them in game 2. Can't win if u can't score. -
Trojan Wire: Pac-12 Reforms Would Help USC
Duck 1972 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It doesn't happen in any of the other leagues and it hasn't hurt the other leagues to get in the playoffs by having divisions and playing not the 2 best teams in their league for their title. Let's say the South is really weak and the North is really tough like it has been we would probably get shut out of title game because 2 south teams feasted on patsies. Or now it looks like it's shifted where the North is possibly the weaker of the 2. -
