But with a team that did it already. We went into the shoe and beat tOSU last year with most of the players coming back this coming year. For the players that are gone we replaced them with better players IMHO. We are experienced at every position although young. The coaches are also better. I just don't see a big drop off. We get both BYU and Utah in Autzen. Anything less than a 10 and 2 year will be a disappointment to me.

Again with the high transfer of coaches changing teams the last 2 years it makes sense that there would be more players hitting the portal both by their choice of not liking the new staff and type of play that is being implemented or the coaches wanting and needing to bring in players that fit their system better. You also have to factor in the covid exemption so some players can stay for a 6th year thus you get what is occurring. It may continue in some fashion to be as bad as it is right now but I believe it will smooth out some in the future.

Tough job

I was a MC supporter. The grind it out games made sense because of the condition of the team. I do believe his recruiting success skewed my belief. I do believe he lost the team towards the end of the season. After the hiring of DL and staff and this spring ball I definitely see a difference in the players enthusiasm. It's night and day. Also the alumni that are sharing they feel wanted again. I am now on board with the idea that Miami did us a favor. Everything is better now. Go Ducks Fly High

I was thinking the same thing EastBay. This team has did it before and will do it again. This will be the 2nd time we shock CFB in 2 yrs.

I believe you have to also look at what was left in the cupboard when assessing the success of a new head coach coming in. Also what was the standing of the team. Were they already at the upper eschelon of their league and CFB. Also the coaching staff and the other parts of the program. Are they held in high esteem by their peers and the best minds in CFB. The Ducks check all of these boxes. This lessons the chance for failure IMHO. That is why I'm so gungho. It maybe green and yellow glasses that I'm looking through but I truly don't think so. I have stated this numerous times. We are going to shock the naysayers this coming year. We have all the things you need for a successful season and future. Go Ducks Fly High

I will take the experience and a new start. That is if we become explosive again. I believe we will and Bo is a go.

I believe we should have strong teams like the SEC and B10. So when we beat them they will be ranked. Also playing tougher competition will make us even better.
