  1. You're applying logic in a situation where The Committee is involved. We saw last week what they did with Michigan & Michigan State.
  2. 28-7 Ohio State, start of 2nd quarter. Purdue self inflicting all over; but if this game keeps going this way, what does Oregon need to do to WSU at home tonight?
  3. Miscommunication on handoff leads to a fumble by Purdue, recovered by Ohio State, next play, Buckeyes get a touchdown. 21-7.
  4. I like this because it takes the power away from a Committee. Winning a Conference is an achievement/ Leave the scenario's and drama to the At Large teams.
  5. It will be interesting to see what The Committee does with Oklahoma ? 9-0 they had them at No. 8. How far down does 9-1 OK fall? Or with this Committee, maybe OK moves up ?
  6. Baylor leads 17-7. Rattler back at QB for OU. OU has averaged 477 yards per game, so far today, 157.
  7. That's how it goes for the big time programs now, which Oregon aspires to be. At Kentucky and Duke you love the 5 stars while they're there, then you love the next batch.
  8. So far at halftime, Oklahoma-Baylor is 7-7, Michigan leads Penn State, 7-6.
  9. The joke running through the commentary of the games so far today is that, "Alabama is favored by 51 over New Mexico State!" The joke of course is that Alabama is playing NMS now. It does not matter if they cover. They didn't against LSU. and stayed at N0. 2, Does the Alliance need Obi Wan ?
  10. No. 2 UCLA beat No. 4 Villanova last night, Oregon at UCLA, Jan. 13. Ducks and Bruins have had great games over the years, this one should be epic...I think the Ducks will ne higher than No. 13 by then.
  11. No, he's not a quarterback, Dior Johnson is a PG, part of Oregon's No. 1 recruiting class in basketball. Watch: Ducks' 5 Star commit, Dior Johnson puts on a passing clinic in latest highlight reel. duckswire Zachary Neel
  12. "Call DeRuyter, that's the name, and away go troubles down the drain, go DeRuyter!"
  13. Therein lies the problem. It is entirely doable, but will The Alliance Just Do It? So far they have been content with the leftovers as the SEC gorges itself. Football probably means more to an Alabaman? But that's because it's really all they have. But, just because the Pac-12er has more options doesn't mean they have to bend over and say, "Thank you, SEC, can I have another?" The SEC has no reason to change the current system, except to make it better for them. The Alliance needs to finally act in their benefit and help themselves.
  14. We can sure do that here! Oregon has never had the kind of size it has this season, next season is going to be ridiculous, Kepnang has improved so much in his all-around game he's not even recognizable from last season, and apparently Dante will be back soon. We've just talked about the bigs, the back court is deep with talent as well. This is going to be a great basketball season!
  15. Jordan, but no Ernie tonight. The Ducks came out blazing, and built a big lead early. SMU hasn't been able to get with in single digits as Oregon leads 50-35 at the half. Young, Richardson have made some tough shots, and Kepnang has been impressive on both ends of the floor.
  16. Oregon 38 WSU 23, 1 TO, 0 Sacks and 196 yards passing.
  17. Athlon has an article, College Football Hot Seat Watch: What's Next at Washington? It's a fun read all the way, but one line below is priceless. While it doesn't have the gloss of Oregon, or the pageantry of USC, Washington is considered a top-three job, (behind or among those two programs) out west.
  18. Tucker hasn't won anything close to what Mario has won at Oregon and he gets offers of more money to take another job. What a coach "deserves" isn't relevant when it comes to what a schoool will pay to get, or keep, a coach.
