  1. Nope, as much as ESPN and its FPI wants it to be, it isn't this year. Georgia does have gaudy defensive stats this season. So much so that they haven't been tested, and is "6 rushing yards against LSU Alabama" going to be the stresser? Since losing at home to Oregon, Oh. St. has had an easy run through Akron, Maryland and Rutgers But Nebraska put up a bit of a fight, then the Buckeyes tore up Purdue. The Buckeyes are an offensive juggernaut this season, certain that they will be able to get enough points to win, and they have, except that one time. These Ducks are tough, maybe they are a team of destiny
  2. Watching OH. ST. in their recent games, the team looks like they're fine Outscoring the other teams. That worked against Nebraska, and they got on a roll against Purdue. Unlike the "Committee", I think that MI. ST is better than Michigan; Walker is a great RB, and they have a strong passing game, I don't see Harbaugh getting the W over OH. ST. Oklahoma was back to Rattler after the glow wore off of Williams last week, everything is not OK for OK. going in to their last 3 games.
  3. I agree, Washington ain't Texas, currently coached by Sark, who left UW, to go to USC...but that's another post. Washington should be a perennial winner, "You can't recruit to Seattle" doesn't work, and they really can't even keep the local kids. Don James, before he had to leave got the Dawgs their "Championship" but since then, not so much, Neuheisel, Tyrone, (O-12) Willingham? Petersen had it going for a while, but when he saw that Oregon was back on track, said, "I'm outta here!" and left them Lake. n a rare move by anyone associated with UW, AD Cohen takes the blame for hiring Lake. The odds are in her favor that she won't do worse with this hire, but UW is low on the list of openings and Cohen is going to have to take a chance.
  4. I agree, the L to Oregon prompted changes in the defense, but this Ohio State team is not playing the quality of defense that the Champion Buckeyes played, hence not putting Nebraska away.
  5. They could? The whole country saw Ohio State blow out the Purdue team that beat Michigan State the week before. Meanwhile ESPN had the Oregon game covered. College Football Playoff Predictions: Will Ohio State Buckeyes Jump Oregon Ducks? Ducks Wire Zachary Neel
  6. That's right. To see it is to believe it. When Oh. St. wasn't in the Top 4 in the first rankings, ESPN said, "Don't worry, it'll work its way out". Of course it will. The Committee knows who it needs to take care of in the end, it's all just show, 'Are You In?' until the Final Ranking.
  7. It's a scary thought, but...I don't leave Cincy to go to a desperate USC if I'm Fickell. Helton was not a Star Get when USC hired him, but he was the best they were going to get. Oregon's 'fanbase holds their breath during a Coach search; USC? A lot of them don't even realize Carroll is gone. They're Front runners, Rose Bowls, Playoffs, SnoopDog. If the Trojans aren't in the mix for the trophy, the fans aren't interested. This makes it hard for the AD to make a hire,
  8. USC does not want to be Texas. But if they don't get the right coach this time they will really be in trouble. If Luke Fickell Turns Down Mike Bohn,  USC Faces Uncomfortable Possibilities Trojans wire Matt Zemeck
  9. Yeah they knew it. This was "Pac-12 After Dark" after all. They have to stow a certain number of camera's away so they always have enough for SEC games.
  10. I understand that he's frustrated, but that's close to Husky fan delusional. What Duck QB does he imagine would be throwing the passes so he and the other receivers would match London's Air Raid numbers? His personal frustration appears to have overwhelmed his awareness of the team's reality.
  11. I can only think that "Cause" would take a lot more time and effort. UW would rather just pay Lake to leave.
  12. That's true, A coach is worth whatever a school will pay him. I believe that Mario really likes it at Oregon, and wants to finish what he's started. But if the other schools offer $$$ to get him, I don't expect him to tell them, "Nah, I'm good" if he isn't even the highest paid coach in the Pac-12.
