Among the very good stuff, He says he wasn't "frustrated" by last season, and that he's improved on "decision making." Both very good signs for the upcoming season.

I did appreciate that he didn't utter the "Once a Duck Always a Duck" I actually cringe when I hear it. A couple of the softball players after they left with White to Texas used it in their message to the fans. Besides it ringing with insincerity, it's also factually not true. If you're a Longhorn, you aren't a Duck!

Now this is how a school starts getting players like this on a regular basis. Oregon Recruiting: Mookie Cook pulls for Kwame Evans to come to Eugene DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM “That would be a big, big pickup.” Oregon’s Mookie Cook isn’t hiding the fact that he wants Kwame Evans, the No. 2 player in 2023, to...

Is Ware Going to be the Answer to Oregon's BIG Dreams?
30Duck replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Bell, Bol Bol, Bouchet, Wooten, all great Ducks. But I'm hoping for BIg, as old school as today's game permits. The best that, Bell, and Wooten offered was on D, and Bol wasn't a in the paint, back to the basket Center, neither was Bouchet. The closest Oregon has, and he isn't there yet, is Dante becoming a Deandre Ayton, now starting for the Phoenix Suns. I look forward to having a 5 who is a legitimate threat to score inside, which would lead to making scoring from outside even easier. -
The Transfer Portal: Embrace It or Drive Yourself Mad

It does seem that the days of, "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em" are done. -
CBS - Much Too Early 2022/23 College Basketball Top 25

I've been on and off the Gonzaga Bandwagon! They got blitzed by Baylor in the championship game last season, with a much better team than this season, which saw them get knocked out earlier than expected. Gonzaga, it turns out is the Cincinnati last football season, of basketball. The Zags play, and win the championship, of their conference every season, and win, and lose, big OOC games, and they always make it to the Sweet 16. But after that it's sour. So, I;m done with the Zigs. Go Ducks, who will be the dominant team in the Pacific Northwest. -

Yep, Kel' el Ware comes in with a lot of accolades as Oregon hopes yet again to find a BIG that really delivers. Bittle had moments during games that, but yes, wasn't consistent. Franck also had stretches, mainly fueled by his energy.

I liked what he had to say. Bear in mind, I think losing 3 1 run games hurts a lot more than getting blown out of would have. That series showed that the Ducks aren't there yet. But it sounds like the Ducks will learn from what happened against the Bruins and get back on track.

The Classic: The Most Beautiful Oregon Uniform...

Yep, that's No.1 for me too. Big Lew, and Reggie Ogburn looked great in those Duck uniforms. Brings back memories of Tom Blanchard, Tom Graham, Bob Newland, Leland Glass... -
We can't read the article, but the Twitter says it all. So far, the competition for starting QB is bringing out the best in all 3 of them.

I don't have his time, but I know that Tyner was very fast as well, and bigger than both Dat and Devon.

Too Much Negative: The End is NOT Near for Oregon Football
30Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I look at this rule a bit like people in Phoenix must think of the weather reports they get from their TV stations every day, "It will be another scorcher, 112, but it's a dry heat" After a while nobody pays any attention, some might even wonder why the guy is getting paid to say the same thing day after day. Along with being, The Forum with Decorum" this is also a place where, with our rules and guidelines, great discussions take place. This is made easier because there is a lot for Duck fans to talk about. It was a rough weekend for the Bats and balls bunch, but don't let your feathers' get ruffled, the season is long, and the wins will come. Football is King of course, and I can't even imagine an off season like this one! There is so much to look forward to about the season coming up, and no doubt there will be laughs aplenty to share about the school from up North! I think we're on the doorstep of the best Oregon football ever, and I'm quackin' up -
Coach K’s Final Karma for Unethical Behavior Ends Career
30Duck replied to AllOregon's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It truly was. As much as we credit Chip for revolutionizing college, and pro football, Dick Harter, the Kamikaze Kids, and Mac Court, did the same in college basketball. UCLA was on top, and it was finesse, with a capital F. Enter Dick Harter and defense with a capital D. Nobody was taking charges, or really making a player think twice about getting to the rim. That all changed with Harter and Oregon, and then you put that in. "The Pit? -
The last time I watched an NBA game from start to finish, Clyde the Glide was playing for the Blazers. NBA Playoffs I can watch off and on, the Final Match-up I want is Memphis in the West and defending champ, Milwaukee in the East.

Coach K’s Final Karma for Unethical Behavior Ends Career
30Duck replied to AllOregon's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The younger folks probably not. But Sam was a huge treason for UCLA's success. This was all back in the day when sports reporting was a lot of wink, wink. Coach Wooden is portrayed as a wonderful guy. But you don't have the streak that his Bruins went on without stretching, covering some stuff, and, as referenced in the marvelous book by Bud Withers. Mad Hoops, Wooden hated Oregon and Dick Harter. -
When it comes to football there isn't higher praise than that. Kenny Dillingham sees Oregon as an SEC school on the West Coast DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The best college football atmosphere on the west coast. That’s what drew OC Kenny Dillingham to the Oregon Ducks.
