I am guessing that our alumni overlords told Rob Mullens that they would underwrite the program to facilitate a shift to the Big 10 if the Pac media contract didn't pencil out. Meaning, coaching salary & NIL increases, practice facility funds and, probably operational funds for team transportation to mitigate travel impacts.

One observation....for all the modern journalistic tech platforms and hot-take insiders, the UO clearly planned this methodically and caught the "twitterati" largely by surprise. A case study for the digital media class in the J-School I would think?

I wouldn't expect expect entrepreneurial agility from university presidents. The mindsets are antithetical to one another. I listened to the latest Duck Territory podcast yesterday and they were talking about these 4 recruits as all being 4 and 5 stars on 247? Prehm discussed how landing all 4 was possible, 3 was highly likely. And if so that Oregon's class would flirt with Top 5 in the country status. Lots of good takes and good "faith" input here.....I suspect that Dan's allure is his authenticity. My guess is that he neither demurs from nor leads with his faith. Rather he lives it and it imbues his character. Those that are drawn to faith find that connection with him, while others find a connection with his compassion, humanity, integrity and love of the game. Good leaders give their team multiple ways to get on board with the mission

I was enjoying the Schadenfreude of Husky recruiting failure and the sniveling mutt fan commentary until someone posted that the Doogs actually have a dozen or so double secret probation silent verbals that they are going to roll out over the next month or so to overtake us, and Bama, in the 24 class.
