  1. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction versus BYU? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Lets get these predictions started and remember I look for the spread with then the closest score that has the spread correct. I need all the data from you! Entries without all the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count as I am not going to hunt them all down. I am no longer going to PM three or four people who don't read directions each week. Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 37-24, 2, 3, 287

  3. I have been studying quite a bit of Georgia defense while Dan Lanning was there, and what I can say for certain is that we have seen almost nothing of the complex tactics that the Bulldogs used. I believe we gradually will over the course of the season, and the pass rush will get better. It is possible that he did not unveil much versus Georgia because our players were not ready, and the 'Dawgs would have handled it fine due to practicing against it every day. And we did not see much in the last game as I believe Lanning was holding stuff out for BYU. I would very surprised if we did not see quite a bit a new defensive blitzes and strategies over the next two games. (IMHO!) And welcome to the forum!
  4. We have beaten teams from Utah in them before.... A good omen?
  5. That is a FishDuck picture and I will elaborate on that game on Saturday morning!
  6. I liked the Chrome helmet with it at the Rose Bowl...
  7. My FishDuck Friends, our fellow OBD member, DazeNconfused, is not available today and unable to respond to the posts you write. But he will be reading them later, and I will give more information a bit later. For now--let's enjoy his take on the game on Saturday, discuss and thank him--and hope he is right!
  8. My thanks to all of you for your words. I will admit that these analysis take twice as long, or longer than Op-Eds to create, but it will now be in the Analysis Library as an important resource. And it will be fun to watch for this in future games; as it was--there were plays where our perimeter was broken and it was interesting to see why, and who could not defeat the blocks. A key component for every defense! Every Thursday over the next five months will be an analysis by either Coach Boles, or yours-truly. Learn more football!
  9. Please post articles as replies, and THANKS from the OBD Community!
  10. Down memory lane with the Duck! There are none better!
  11. Poor Aggies...Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
  12. I don't think this was the look they intended...
  13. We have been working on this for the last couple of days, and they would be visible for a second and then...poof. But now they are showing up for me on desktop AND mobile--how about YOU! (And if you have issues...tell me what kind of devise, browser, and operating system if you could) Thanks!
  14. I suppose it makes sense to them, but watch for DazeNconfused''s analysis/preview article tomorrow for a different take. And learn a little about the Oregon defense tomorrow as well from yours-truly... (From the Fabulous FishDuck Feed) No love for the Ducks: CBS Sports analysts unanimous in Oregon-BYU picks SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM Oregon hosts BYU on Saturday. A panel of analysts for CBS Sports thinks it's a pretty easy game to pick.
  15. Flowe could be exceptional, but he is not there yet, IMHO. But Jeffrey Bassa was a starter last year at that "Money" linebacker spot and can do the job superbly. Plus you may see Jackson LaDuke get some time at that spot on running downs. Keith Brown played at that position last year in the Ohio State game, so we have some veterans to fill in nicely, I believe.
  16. This is the future, and I would hope that joint arrangements could be made? We do need a streaming option, but if for some games it is the only option later, we can live with that if the $$$ are enough for Oregon. We can avoid going to the B1G..because the new 12 team playoff gives us a better chance of making it while in the Pac-12, and improving our national profile, (and dollars) that much better. Being in the Pac-12 can get us into the Playoff, and a streaming contract can keep us in the Pac-12.
  17. If you are on mobile--you can't see the background photo of the forum, but those on desktop and laptop hopefully can. It is a very cool picture of Cam McCormick about to score... And he has another year of eligibility!

  19. A fantastic tight end room right now, and to think that he and Motavo were freshman last year!
  20. Amen to all. This was a great observation and analysis; I'm glad DazeNconfused is on our side!
  21. Actually, I've resolved to NOT say that anymore as it will just drive me crazy. My positive spin? The guy who wasted that talent is no longer here, and we already have a more balanced and robust offense in just two games than the four years under his coaching. And I am very, very glad for Justin, in overcoming the handicaps applied at Oregon, and yet he is not resentful....in fact still a fan and supporting us. We are very lucky to have an alumni like him, and it makes me cheer for him all the more. (Even if he is in...LA)
  22. Maybe we can be spoken of nationally in a good way after Saturday? (From the Fabulous FishDuck Feed)
  23. Whoops. I forgot about the "rival" factor... (From the Fabulous FishDuck Feed as usual)
