Position Groups: Where the Ducks are Strong and Where They are Weak
Grading this Duck team at this stage should come with a disclaimer: For Entertainment Purposes Only. The spring game is the only body of work we have to go off of. All the new pieces makes it almost impossible to get a good read on who and what this Duck team is. The only things we know for sure is the fact that they were having fun, the coaches were having fun and we were having fun. So the fun factor and that they passed the eye test gives me a ton of excitement for this Duck squad. I don't need the "experts". I know what I saw and so does everyone else. Lanning and his team have put the excitement back in Duck football... Ooooo!

Cota Catches--Spring Game
If I remember right, he made some great catches against to Ducks last year. Great hands and positioning. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Cota put together a Maehl type season. In fact, I kinda expect it.

Running Backs Ran Better in the Spring Game than it Seems
There was at least one big pass play called back too. The rule for the game was right, you gotta keep guys healthy. Definitely skewed the numbers though. What was missing from last season was what many of us said all season. "A win is a win, but I know what I saw and that don't look right". It was a constant statement under Mari-ball. Saturday looked right. For a spring game under a new staff, QB, RB's and WR's, I would say it looked a little better than right. Go Ducks!

Tosh Lupoi--Ducks Defense Will be 'Confrontational'
Baited breath, we have heard this before. Even Allioti had some bend don't break approach. Lanning's D last year and what I saw in the spring game gives me hope tho. Nobody feared the Duck D the last few years. Or the O for that matter. I will give credit to all the redzone stops last year and It will be fun to watch if it comes through. Nothing better than watching great D.

Six Minutes with Coach Dillingham--Developing A Culture!
Usually I would write this stuff off as coach speak but everyone seems to be on the same page. Including players. What I saw Saturday was a team that was having a great time. An excitement and enthusiasm I haven't seen on a Duck sideline for a couple years. All the talk and player reaction is authentic. This team with this staff is going to make their claim in the CFP sooner than later. Bulldogs better be ready to play come September.

Where Does the Future Lie at QB For Oregon?
An injury that should have never happened. I don't have a lot of recall but remember it being dirty. ASU if I remember right.

Where Does the Future Lie at QB For Oregon?
Nix was also a 5*. He has seen a ton of snaps against the best teams in the nation. Under achieved? Perhaps. He was clearly the best qb on the field saturday. Of TT or Butters wants the 1 spot they will have to step up and take it. Right now its Nix's spot to lose.

Dawgs Fan From Georgia: What I Hope to Learn and Share
Welcome to OBDF. There are a few Dawg fans showing here. Duck fans are rabid as SEC fans. You will enjoy it. We have been slapping around dAWGs for a few decades now. Don't see a lot changing in 22. Seriously though, lets have some fun and make new friends. You will find Duck fans have a high Football IQ. Enjoy!

Where Does the Future Lie at QB For Oregon?
Nix at 1 for sure. Dudes a baller. He reminds me of a young Brett Favre. Favre made a ton of "why?" Throws but the guy was a winner. I see Nix having his best year. My prediction is at some point in the season both Nix and DJ will be in the Heisman discussion. A ton to be excited about with this Duck roster and staff.

DJ Johnson Could be Big Time Player for Oregon
DJ was fun to watch yesterday. This guy is going to be a force, especially with Sewell and Flowe at his back. KT was a good player, I think DJ will leave a bigger mark when all is said and done. The whole scrimmage was fun to watch. Spring games are what they are, hard to get a read on the team. But they were having fun and that was the biggest take away for me.

Four Takes on USC in 2022
Stoops coached Okie for 17 seasons, Riley got the keys with Stoops guys. Took OU to playoffs. Bellotti was with Ducks 20 seasons, 6 as OC. Kelly got the keys and UO plays Auburn. Flames out in the NFL, UCLA... Meh! Helf gets the job and we play tOSU. Flames out No guarantees Riley is successful. Kiffin couldn't make it work. Kiffin is a great coach. Crowning Riley is a bit premature.
