Major Takeaways from Coach Lanning's First Oregon Signing LOI Day
Log Haulin replied to a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I like that positions of need were focused on. Lanning and his staff didn't just go out and sign best available but best available of need. Shows focus and discipline. Shows vision and that there is a plan in place. -
It appears that when the dust settles, Oregon will have filled positions of need. With pin point accuracy I might add. Oregon could also finish in the top 25. Pretty impressive imo.

Watch Dilly's interview. Dude made me want to put on pads and open up a truck lane on the left hash. Infectious personality.

THE Most Important Two Hours as a Duck Fan...a MUST!
Log Haulin replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This was a great progrm. Interviewed every coach on staff. Seems every coach on Lanning staff would step in front of a bullet for the guy. -
What Grampa Duck wrote below is absolutely true; you will be BLOWN AWAY by what you hear. Listen to who they coached under....hear their passion, feel their admiration for Coach Lanning and soak up how they intend to coach. This is the best video of Oregon football EVER.

2022 4* Trevonte Citizen Gets Duck Offer
Log Haulin replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Page down below accolades. Offered on Jan 26th. Not sure about his relationshup ties to any of the new coaching staff. Be nice to land James and Citizen. We could tag them Hatchet and Hammer. -
This kid is a beast. 6" 217lbs. Could be a surprise get by the Ducks.

I don't see luli going to Miami. He is from Puyallup and has stated that he wants family close. My guess is $C with Oregon a close second. Besides, MC is a train wreck.

Oregon Gets a Transfer from the Portal...a Kicker?
Log Haulin replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
72 yards? Strong! Welcome to the flock Boyle. -
Broussard was mediocre at best. The RB room is thin but I don't see how Broussard would have made the room better. Other than an extra body. Landing James has probably been the focus of the coaching staff and Broussard prob knew that. Let our young backs play.

What if it Ends up Working Out for Mario at Miami?
Log Haulin replied to Quietduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Pitman left in the middle of the season. That single event tells you all you need to know about Oregon's locker room under MC. Players were frustrated and discontented. They have not made a public outcry, but the Pitman transfer tells you all you need to know. Mario was the cancer that ultimately resulted in the Utah debacle. -
Uh-Oh...Grumblings Begin with Miami's Mario Cristobal

"I just beat him with my guys, imagine what I could do with his guys" When asked about Mario. -

Miami should have consulted Mike Leach before giving Mario 8 mil. Leach called it that first season at Oregon. -
Whoever fills the void of Verdell and Dye will have a veteran O-line opening up holes for them. The line is probably the strongest unit on the Ducks.
-
Rashada needs to become a Duck. The QB room will be almost empty by the time he arrives in Eugene. Could be open to start by his soph year. He is a big talent and at 6'4" 185 he could easily be 205 by then. He checks all the boxes.

USC Back on Top Much Sooner Than Thought?
Log Haulin replied to Just Ducky's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Riley was about to get exposed at Okie the same way MC was at Oregon. Riley IMO, is fools gold. -
That aTm class was orchestrated by Malchow, Ducks new chief of staff. Malchow also put together #1 recruiting class at Georgia. Look to the 2023 class being a top 5 class

It's Down to Oregon or USC for Jahlil Florence
Log Haulin replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ifo played every game as a true freshman. He was a 3x all pac12 and an all American. IMO, Ifo was one of the best CBs ever to play for the Ducks. Obviously my favorite corner to come out of Oregon. Would love to see Ducks get a kid with ability to secure the boundaries. An Ifo or Cliff Harris type. And yes, that was an interception on the sideline by Harris. Terrible call that led to Auburn points. Going to need corners that can play man from LOS and be trusted. Lanning's blitz packages are going to require it. The rusher could come from anywhere, including corner. These kids are going to have a blast playing for Lanning. We are going to have a blast watching them. -

Mykael Wright was solid, all conference. Think he lead the country in int's? Ifo was lock down, you could put him on an island. Should have been early second round. Blew his knee up. 2 surgeries. 7th round. Losing Wright as a soph. Big blow. Ducks picked up the Colorado kid, that should Help. I think there are only 5 CB's on scholarship? Probably need 7-9. Seems scheme left the middle open for poaching. It was exploited a ton. Felt like lb's and safeties were always out of position.
