  1. O-line is a tuff position. If he is Sewell good it will come down to how well he learns the play book. Late start won't help him. If JC is a fast learner he will start. I don't see that happening early in the season tho.
  2. It will be nice to see a QB that can get the ball in the general vicinity and let the receivers have a chance to work for a reception. Last year was 10ft over the receivers head. Who will be Bo's #5?
  3. Lanning is looking for hidden gems that will make Oregons caching staff better. Seems he is not just recruiting players but coaches as well.
  4. Already pulled the iron off my mule train. Let is snow, I will sit on my...
  5. Lanning is going after big talent as well. Oregon is in "top school" list of quite a few blue chips. College football recruiting: Every 5-star prospect in the 2023 class 247SPORTS.COM
  6. Actually a pretty darn good answer
  7. Lanning had TT with the ones the other day but I don't know if that means TT has take the top spot. It's spring not game week.
  8. Auburn football fans react to Bo Nix as Oregon QB2 behind Ty Thompson FLYWAREAGLE.COM
  9. Jimbo got his hat handed to him by the Ducks. Ol' Crab legs. Weren't the on a 20+ game winning streak? Fun times.
  10. With the transfer portal, anyone who shows up tomorrow are his players. From previous articles, sounds like these players are compleatly bought in. Who knows though, vomit on the sidelines might peel off a few.
  11. Harris intercepted that ball. Q2 I think. Auburn scored shortly after.

  14. Being out of position defensively at second level doesn't really give us a good read on how good Utes TE were against the Ducks. 4 to 7 yards in the middle of the field wasn't defended. MC did not set this team up for success.
  15. My thought was he was setting culture that builds on itself each day. As a man, it's not always assets that propel me to be great. More often it is confronted defects that move me further down the road. DL, imp, is setting this team up to get better as the season progresses. Most often it is the team that minimizes mistakes and defects that wins the game. Setting the foundation now. I think DL believes he can win it all next year. Why hire h8m if he didn't believe that. Ducks almost won a NC with less talent overall. Last second field goal. I say go for it all now.
  16. The conference networks might be able to make this work. Could be a huge loser though. Most people are getting out after a long winter. Just don't see conferences taking the risk.
  17. Been trying to recall since this question was posted. IDK, I can't remember not being a Duck fan. Casual fan with a mix of rabid all my life I guess.
  18. I think I read somewhere that Oregon's contributing players on D last year had an average of 3.5 stars. I doubt Oregon will compete at a Geo. level defensively. I do think production will increase dramatically over last year. Could be the best D Oregon has ever fielded.
  19. Potential college football rule changes aim to limit plays and exposures while shortening the game - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Limiting exposures to improve player safety has become a top priority The college game is great. Leave it alone please. Try looking at NIL and portal for rule changes first.
  20. By September Mario's boys will be Lanning's men. Fully bought in and ready to go at a high level. Lanning has done nothing but impress and this roster, by Sept, will run through walls for the man.
  21. Every "Great" in every profession has a couple things in common. One of course is competitiveness. When I was young and playing football, I absolutely refused to be beat. I wasn't the biggest, fastest, strongest or most athletic. But man, nobody was going to beat me. That competitiveness had College coaches paying attention to me as a sophomore in HS. Unfortunately I was troubled youth and went down the wrong road. That same competitiveness brought me back later in life and today I am what others would call successful. The other commonality is obsession in craft. Whether it is MJ, Tiger, Steve Jobs, or Stevie Ray Vaughan/Bonamassa. They were all obsessed. Nothing less than perfection is acceptable. And it's all the thought about. God given talent can take someone far. But competitiveness and obsession can take you to the top of the mountain. Tom Brady is the Goat not because of God given talent but because he is absolutely obsessed with what he does.
  22. Cota is ok... the guy CAN play. He is a local kid so welcome.
