  1. One thing is for sure, Prime Time was one hell of an athlete with the head the size of a basketball. Can he win as a head coach in big boy football has yet to be answered. Colorado definitely needs a shake up but this is a stubborn fan base which may be tough to convince. One thing is for sure, things are a changing in the pack and rather quickly. Question is can we as fans keep up.
  2. Thanks Ducks 72. Many things to be thankful for. I’m still kicking My family is pretty healthy My granddaughter got excepted to OS I finally have a grandson at 74, took a while. I get to look out my picture window at the Clackamas River every morning. The Pack 12 looks like it might survive. We have Mr Knight The Ducks are competitive in all sports. Life is good. Happy Holidays everyone!!!
  3. We can take that one for sure.
  4. Congrats to Colorado. This should help them recruit some skill position guys which has been a big problem lately. The pack just took another step forward.
  5. At the start of the season most of us would have taken 9 wins as a good season not a failure. Once we all saw Bo play we definitely thought we could make the rose bowl and if Bo doesn’t get hobbled we would be in the college football playoff maybe ranked #3. Granted we lost a couple games to our rivals and that caused most of us to scream at the television several times, especially me. To call the season a flop is more than inaccurate. We will soon see how the players respond to this coach and his staff when we play in our bowl game whatever it might be. If the boys show up and give it their best effort then we will know what kind of coach and players we actually have. Go s
  6. Maybe Bo is having the time of his life with DL. Why be in a big hurry to face NFL defenses. With a good nil deal, a insurance plan, and a stud coming in to mentor might be appealing to him. Maybe his wife likes it here, who really knows.
  7. I can’t accept a team that takes a week off while playing teams with no chance to win while Other teams are playing ranked opponents unless they are undefeated. The SEC has been getting away with this travesty for years and it needs to stop. Alabama has lost 2 games and didn’t play in their conference championship. They don’t belong.
  8. One thing is for sure TCU has a stud for a QB.
  9. These two are great college backs. But the NFL linebackers will have no problem with either of them.
  10. The transfer portal gets an A+
  11. I thought before the season started that are pass rush was going to come from our linebackers. Flowe in particular. Boy was I wrong. I never did think we were going to get much pressure from our lineman against good offensive lines. Until we get those 2 areas fixed our DBs will continue to get exposed. Still can’t wrap my head around the horrible run defense against the rodents in the 4th quarter. Cost us a shot at the trojans and a rose bowl bid.
  12. I kept trying to see the brilliance of Dilly and towards the end he got our QB injured and called plays we all knew were coming. I’m definitely not on the Dilly band wagon. Not enough history to call him a great offensive genius. We will see.
  13. I’m becoming weary of all the drama. The NCAA is incompetent at best.
  14. Or have yet to join the team.
  15. My wife will attest that I would go into a tizzy every tome Dilly put his QB in a naked set. It worked on occasion but it was a liability for pass blocking and wheel routes which were productive early in the season. Another thing that drove me crazy was the lack of passes targeted to our tight ends. We had a great tight end room but seemed unwilling to use them at the end of the season. The last 3 games our tight ends caught 5 balls. I certainly hope the TE room stays in tact. As far as running backs Bucky and Whit were exceptional but I can’t compare them to James and Barner, those two backs had great break away speed and when they got into the secondary they were gone. Bucky and Whit excelled at breaking tackles without breakaway speed and are quite good at it by the way
  16. Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been a Duck fan since the 60s and I can’t remember a worse defense than we had this year. With all the 5 and 4 star players at the coaches disposal it was Truly mind boggling.
  17. I had a lot of confidence in Dilly at first but a lot of us knew what plays were coming in certain situations and, trust me, so did opposing coaches. If not for hiccups from Cameron Rising we could have lost our last three. Dilly will make a lot of money and I can’t blame him for taking this job. He probably will be there 3 years win 4 or 5 games a season. I think back of some of those teams in the past with Woody Green, Roy Jefferson, Danny White and Ben Malone. Doubt if ASU will ever see that kind of talent again. I wish Dilly luck but he has an uphill battle starting now.
  18. We knew this kind of thing would happen and are going to see more of it. The Ducks have to make room for the new guys that fit DL’s plan for success. I’ve always thought that we have too much skill position talent and not enough horses. We see in the NFL that many of the wide receivers think they are better than they are and there are only so many passes that will be thrown. I trust DL will get the correct mix of players to improve on what he has in a very short time. That being said I hope he fulfills his dream. You only get a short period of time in college to make that happen. Good luck young man.
  19. Love to see him stay. He would be a great mentor for our young freshman and I get weary with transfer QBs even though we got a great one this year.
  20. There has been some nervousness about loosing recruits over this. Did a little research and found this list of top 25 recruiters in the pack 12 #1 Adams #2 Martin #4 Lupoi #11 Klem #23 Prowledge All Ducks No mention of Lanning or Dillingham. My point is I can see loosing some players to transfer, ones looking for playing time, to ASU going with Dilly but I don’t see a mass exodus of recruits. I’m confident DL knew this was coming and already has his list of replacements.
  21. Excellent coach. Seems like he hasn’t been able to recruit those athletes to put Stanford in the upper tier that Always was the case just A few years ago. They were always a tough out. Good luck to him, my respect for him is high level.
  22. What a difficult time for Duck fans the last few seasons. Since the transfer portal, defections of coaches, schools betraying their conferences, underclassmen entering the draft before they are ready, and nil it has been a difficult task to be in love with college sports. I guess the task for fans is try to not get bogged down with it all but it is extremely difficult to do. Go s
