I expect Jay or Ty to be gone before the start of the season. Not sure about the rule but I don’t think Bo can leave unless he drops out. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Lanning Love: “Football is Fun Again!”
Just Ducky replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Thanks Sir Charles. Good info. Most of us were excited to see MC and his bunch go, thank you Miami, and anyone else come to town. Who knew that we would be getting a guy that was a key piece of the Georgia recking crew that won the Natty. The excitement on this forum has been real for most of us for sure. This piece only confirms what most of us have talking about since he came to town. BS doesn’t seem to be in his nature and if the players feel it then we would be unreasonable not to feel it too. My gosh I’m even going to the spring game that I haven’t attended since Helfrich. I just want to see and hear the positive energy that I didn’t feel sitting in the stands at the last game I went to, the boooo game. Even though we won that game everyone around me was feeling the same way about that Coaching staff and the miserable play calling on both sides of the ball. I’m sure there will be mistakes but we should be able to adjust just like our players will. It’s so good to be excited again and for the next chapter to begin. thanks again Mr Fish Duck. gos -
Sweet Sixteen: A Bad Day for the West

Gonzaga never did get adjusted to the officiating and Arkansas was much more physical. That was a severe pounding they took. -
Who Is Set to BREAKOUT for Oregon in 2022?
Just Ducky replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Could be that running backs in the stable could break out. Anyone’s guess who that might be but if our offense can consistently move the ball thru the air then our backs should have more running room than we saw in the last few seasons. There are talented guys in the running back room and anyone of them could be the guy depending on how Dillingham chooses to use them. -
Can’t wait to see the ducks continue this hitting barrage. Tough to do against quality pitchers so we shall see. Hope it won’t be frostbite weather up there. Go s

NIL, Will the Goose That Lays the Golden Egg Kill Itself?
Just Ducky replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It certainly will make a difference for each school depending on the revenue stream available from their boosters. Some schools will have a huge advantage in this endeavor, which has been going on for a long time, but that doesn’t mean the correct decisions will be made. They will still rely on coaching evaluations, sometimes bad, on talent and that hasn’t worked out for some universities ever. Spending tons of money on a bad situation is not a good business model and is unsustainable. Some schools consistently make it work and I think that that will not change much. The two Texas schools tossing money around will give us a gauge to look back on in a couple years for sure. It will be interesting and will give us lots to discuss in the future. Welcome to the mini NFL. -
I am cruising down the middle of the road on this one. I was hoping to see him as a Colt next year. I hope they can block for him but I don’t think it will happen. Love Marcus but I don’t see how this comes out positive.

Gotta LOVE These Pac-12 Standings!
Just Ducky replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Can’t wait to see where they stand after one go around in the pack. -
Not everyone wants to play defense or are capable of doing so. This team was not capable or willing to do the work. The offense looked ridicules at times. I’m sure Dana will cure this problem. He is a great college coach. His system won’t work in the NBA, where defense is optional at best.

5 over 300 is excellent. The Ducks have 7 over 333. If they can come remotely close to that against good pitching they will win 90% of their games. 280 in the Bigs is millionaire status. 300 is perennial all star. go s

College basketball, even for women has become a 3 point shoot out with very little defense being played. It’s ruined the nba and college basketball is an embarrassment with very few teams actually playing the game correctly. Guess my age has decided my fate as a basketball fan. Very sad.

Dennis Dixon’s injury. Would of been our first natty. That team was good on both sides of the ball. Had Nick Sabin totally freaked out.

USC Chokes to Miami in First Round?
Just Ducky replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
USCs Matador defense was horrible. -
I also think it will mellow out with high school players. On the other hand there will be many college transfers that will be after better deals and many schools will be willing to wait on some of these kids and let other schools like Tandaian mentioned above take the risk up front. I do like Oregon’s approach of not jumping into it with both feet. This is a more sound direction than A&M is using and more sustainable in the long run I would think. Let’s face it those 3 schools mentioned along with Miami, USC and many others, including The Ducks, have been involved in shady deals to get the players they wanted in the past. That’s part of the reason Kelly left. Only difference is now it’s all out in the open for everyone to see. And it’s not a pretty sight.

Learning About Lanning: “This is a VERY HARD Program”
Just Ducky replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
A large portion of today’s 5 & 4 star high school kids have relied on their talent rather than their conditioning. Most have been coddled since grade school. It will be interesting to see which players will be willing to nut up and become real football players and which ones bail out. -
Learning About Lanning: Georgia’s 2021 Secret to Success
Just Ducky replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It will be interesting to see how these talented Ducks are going to perform under what I consider a rough schedule. I certainly don’t expect a final four appearance. However after saying that I think we have enough talent, if healthy, to take the pack. QB will be the issue. If our coaching staff can develop our QB room to produce a Mariota or Dixon like player out of the group then the Ducks should be a dynamo and win a bunch of games. -
Lanning on QB Battle: "I Think We Have a Mature Group"
Just Ducky replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I only hope that our coaches Instill confidence in our QBs. Unlike the last four years. Can you imagine Chip telling JH not to run. My god the Chargers have way more to risk than the Ducks did and they run Justin quite a bit. There are very few teams, both college and NFL, that are successful without Quarterbacks that can’t escape pressure or run for first downs against man defenses. Excited to see what our new coaches do with what I think is a lot of undeveloped talent at that position. I think we will see a big change in the production of the most important position on the roster. -
I hope he tries to run too much sunshine up his players ars.

We can only hope these players buy into what this staff brings to the table. At the end of spring camp we will find out the answer. The kids that jump in the portal will be the ones that aren’t going to work into DLs plans or are just to lazy to try. The kids that are hanging around are the ones that will take the culture into the future and show up to play hard every down and that’s all we can ask. Go s

No No a thousand times No. -
Interesting idea but I’m not giving up spare time in the spring to watch D11 football. Charles is correct. The networks would not likely jump on that.
