I think we had Over 2 and 1/2 minutes left in the first half and all our time outs and MC , since he to has no confidence in AB, decided to milk the clock even knowing that Cal would get the ball first in the second half. If that doesn’t show lack of confidence in your offense what does? Most our last 10 QBs would have been licking their chops.

I was booing also. Part of it was the frustration of watching our young pre-madonnas act like three year olds with senseless chest bumping and ridiculous penalties all the while being behind. That kind of thing totally reflects on the coaches and makes the opposition want to beat us even more. Makes my blood boil.

Love the look the defense gave us in the second half. Just a preview of what’s to come when we get healthy. Noah is a beast. He knocks himself goofy at least once a game but shakes it off and gets back in their without leaving the field. There will be some sore Bears today. Do not want this kid hitting my Quarterback for sure.

If you are like me I have to visit the head 3 times a night anyway.

KTs influence on opposing quarterbacks is fun to watch. Especially live. He was making an impact on almost every play even when he was away from the ball. A very special athlete. To be honest I was watching him on every play. A thing of beauty. He and Noah are dynamic when they are both on the field. Imagine if JF hadn’t been injured how amazing that defense would be. Can KT play quarterback?

Heading down to the game in a few hours and I can’t wait to see the young guys get a chance to play. If the above article has any truth that means excitement for the fans that are wallowing in a football stupor at the moment. We all want to see the excitement generated by past Duck teams with speed and occasional power. So far this team has been inconsistent in showing us either one. We all know the athletes are there or the recruiting services are all wet in their assessment, not likely. Time to fire up the engines and play with some fire in their belly. go s, looking for a dominant performance tonight.

The performance level is definitely not up to Ducks standards, we all see that. One problem for me is the starting time for some of these games. Playing games on the road early in the morning and at home at 7:30 at night is not the best for fans. Portland fans don’t get home till Sunday morning. And some of my friends with season tickets have quit going to home games because they like to tailgate at halftime but they now cannot re enter the game. Plus getting a cold adult beverage is a challenge in the stadium. All these things can add up to poor attendance. Be interesting to see the turnout Friday Night. Go s

Pretty obvious that the coaching staff held this kid back. It seems he did not improve much from year to year. Many of his throws in college were thrown to hard and let’s be honest most college wide receivers aren’t ready for a ball with that much velocity. He seemed to lock in on on his primary receiver and would try to rifle it in even when they were covered. In the games that I attended there were wide open tight ends and receivers that never got the ball thrown their way. What we are seeing now is a young QB with touch on the ball, goes thru his progressions, and escapes the pocket when needed. These things were always there but never developed by the Ducks staff. If that ain’t coaching then what is it?

Even with all the injuries the Ducks still puts a team on the field that has as much or more potential than any team they will face the rest of the season and should, on paper, win out. #1 With that being said I don’t believe they can accomplish this with the QB that will be outplayed by his competitors in any given game. #2 Our coaching staff could prevent them from winning at least 2 more games, I’m thinking UCLA and OS, by not having them ready to play and inconsistent game planning and no in game adjustments. I will be attending the game Friday so I will be able to see the whole field and feel the energy of the players, if any, that the team must have to win. Hope we are not disappointed. The drive back to OC could be a long one. The glass is still half full and it’s up to MC to fill it to the top. Go s

Let’s face it Mario is a gifted recruiter but an extremely stubborn man. The sample size is huge. I agree with nw777b, Braxton had his chance and failed miserably. Go beat Cal then everyone else.

I’ve noticed targeting is never called on an offensive player who lowers his head when being tackled by a defensive player. But if the defensive player lowers his head while being rammed by a 220 Ib running back that lowers his the call will most certainly go against the 180 led DB. Seem fair to you?

Always root for the Beavs. Except when they play the mighty Ducks.

I would like to know what the system really is. Is it play not to loose. Is it keep the game close till the end and then let a tired injury riddled defense try to pull it out. Is it not to score points at a torrid pace. Is it to get more penalties than the other guys. Is it not to pressure the opposing teams QB. Is it to play your DBs so far off the wide outs they can’t stop a ten yard pass that turns into 20. Is it to drive the fans into a frenzy. Someone please tell me.

Let’s be honest here. If not for some timely interceptions this team could easily be 0 and 5.

It’s pretty clear from what MC is saying is he is not going to bench Brown so prepare yourself with that fact for the rest of the way. Every game will be a dog fight and we will probably loose to UCLA and the Beavs. My gosh I can’t believe I’m saying this. My disappointment in MC is growing by the hour.

If I were coaching that team AB would have been benched at halftime.

Makes you wonder what these kids are eating.

I would like to see MC not be so darn stubborn. Make fluid decisions based on the flow of the game. Stretch the field that would help get the opposing linebackers back out of the box.

I would love to see a gigantic turn around but with all the injuries and inconsistent play do any of us want to see our mighty ducks in the ring with Alabama or Georgia? Probably not. Rose bowl would be a huge achievement from what we have seen so far. Go

Let’s be honest here. If AB was a quality QB he would already be making money in a pro league somewhere. That alone is a blinking yellow light.

I know that it seems like AB is getting credit for his running ability. In reality if you look at his runs there are huge holes for him to advance the ball. I will give credit for him finding those wholes but that’s where it stops. The majority of those yard are attributed to some outstanding blocks by receivers, tight ends, and OL. I do believe that the other QBs in the stable could do the same or even better. Time to make the switch.
