Jon Wilner's Preseason Top 25
I hate to admit it but I don’t see a game on Spoiled Children’s schedule that they can’t win and will probably be favored in all but 2. Possibly Utah depending on how good they might be by the middle of the season and the game is on the road and Notre Dame who they get at home. WSU is at home or that game might be a toss up. The Ducks schedule looks to be awfully tough and could be 1 and 2 before league play begins. Going to be interesting for sure.

Cristobal Vows: Canes Going to 'Jump Ahead, Create Our Own Gap'
If MC ever starts listening to others he might have a chance in Miami but we all have known people that just won’t shut up and listen and those types never change. I’m afraid he is doomed by himself.

Mr. FishDuck: Explosion Plays, Fast-Tempo, 80+ Plays…Do You Believe It?
It’s too bad we have to go back to taking MC down but he certainly deserves it. It is also to bad that he wasted a potential Heisman trophy winner with his stubbornness and inability to coach a team during a game. Even as slow a pace as the offense was he could not keep up and as I said before his defenses couldn’t keep up as well. As far as Dan and company are concerned I believe we have a much more intelligent coaching staff that are younger and their brains might work a bit faster.😀 can’t believe I just said that. Hope I didn’t offend any old guard here but I’m in my 70s and my brain has slowed to a crawl. Took me an hour to jot this all down. So 80 plays a game! Maybe, but if not I bet my next Deshutes Hazy that they will be more fun to watch than they were the last few years and we as a group will not stress out and age any faster than we already are.

College Football Coaches to Propose Transfer-Portal Windows
I wonder if we should be done calling these kids Student Athletes. I would think that the ones jumping around from school to school would have a hard time getting a quality education. If it wasn’t for athletics a large portion of these kids would never attend college or pass admission standards.

Risky Business? What Might Ducks Portal Stats Show?
I’m just guessing but I’m sure the coaching staff has had sit downs with every player and discussed their future part in Eugene. Some will stay for the education but their future in college football may not be what they had hoped. I think we will see a few more changes before our trip to Georgia and I think this new staff we have will make the best moves for the team, I am confident in that. We all have comments about how young the staff is but there is NFL experience in this group not to mention a head coach that has a natty under his belt as a DC. I think DL is a good listener, unlike MC, and he has some studs to listen to. Going to be a roller coaster to start but I think things will smooth out by fall and from that point forward. Go🦆🦆🦆s

Is New Receivers Coach Junior Adams KILLING-IT, or What?
Recruiting Devas is fun but if we don’t get stronger in the trenches does this really matter. Get me a Hines Ward and and a QB that can get him the ball and I will jump out of my high tops.

Be Honest: Do you Feel Sorry for Wright, McKinley and Williams?
I think 73 underclassmen applied for this years draft not to mention all the older and more mature kids that got more experience because of Covid setback. Not a good year to gamble. After the covid setback washes thru which I think will be within 2 years, very confusing for sure, these kids might have a better opportunity to move up to the next level.

Another Loss for Oregon Men's Basketball Program. It's Not a Player.
It’s amazing to me how college athletic departments can fall apart so rapidly. It wasn’t that long ago that these departments stayed together for several years. Sign of the times I guess. My brain aches from trying to keep up with it all so I won’t. Seems like the Ducks are having a huge problem with it but I think most schools are going through it as well.🤯

De'Anthony Thomas...Could Have, SHOULD Have?
Never seen a guy make cuts at full speed like that except maybe Reggie Bush. The kid broke a lot of ankles. Seven is going to be good but not that good.

Dawgs Fan From Georgia: What I Hope to Learn and Share
I remember when Tennessee came to Eugene a few years back and I spent quite a bit of time chatting with their fans. Our tailgate area was very close to the Volunteers tented area. They were knowledgeable and very supportive of the Ducks, even though they knew they were about to get boat raced, because they all thought the Ducks could take down mighty Alabama. A class act all the way around and a great experience for me and my wife. I will never forget it.

Tosh Lupoi--Ducks Defense Will be 'Confrontational'
Much rather watch a defense that gives up 14 points per game than one that gives up 28. My goal is the defense getting off the field in a timely manner to avoid being exhausted by the 4th Qtr. and less chance of injury. Passive defensive teams have trouble surviving the season.

Predicting the 2-Deep on Offense After Spring Game
I may be a bit over my skis here but this offense obviously is not the best overall starting lineup the Ducks have had but it certainly must be the deepest we have seen at Eugene. I can’t see a week backup at any position on the offensive side of the ball. Unless it’s the water boy.

Troubling Stats for Portal Entrants
I think a lot of us knew this might be the case. I can’t blame the kids because they are just kids and need guidance but not from the wrong people. I can’t remember who said this, it was one or many of us, but things should smooth out a bit by year 3. Another reason why USCs business model may not work out. Many of the transfers will be gone quickly and the portal may not be the answer every year. Still are going to need to recruit at a high level to keep a solid base of players on your roster.
