He was the D2 Coordinator of the year in 2022, gets hired at Montana State last year as OC/QB coach, and proceeds to call an FCS national championship offense. I sure hope Dante comes back for another year. 20 starts! He is still learning how to read defenses at the college level; let alone adjusting to pro caliber speeds. As for Raiola, I believe he knows there is a chance he sits for a season and is okay with it. Dan needs find an excellent QB coach to help not only with Dante's progress, but the rest of the QB room. I'd very much like to see Akili Smith Jr. start to emerge from the pack. A high level QB coach could really bring the best out of him!

The rumors ended up being true. Sounds like he's willing to sit behind Dante for a year if necessary. If he's willing to be patient then so am I. Now let's see if Dante stays! Just heard that on the way in to work as well. I no longer consider it "tampering" any longer as there is no way to actually regulate communication between players and their potential suitors. I would, however, find it odd for Oregon to knowingly try to get him to leave knowing his potential legal predicament. Could be interesting.

I feel like OBD defense is absolutely up to the task. Since the Indiana loss, they have proven that when mistake free/few football is played, they are an absolute menace to any opposing offense in the nation. The D line is much improved, the secondary has a star in Brandon Finney. I believe the defense will hold up their end of the bargain. The offense needs to show up and get points (3 or 7) on darn near every possession. Play the ball control game just like we did against Tech. Limiting Indiana's touches and time of possession will be huge. We will get back to Atlanta on the back of our run game and Dante Moore's improved decision making.

If Moore goes then I say bring a transfer in to compete. I definitely agree that Raiola has that raw look that Dante Moore had during his stint at UCLA. I am most curious as to how Lanning addresses QB development now that Stein is gone. Who will he bring in to be our next "QB whisperer"? This hire will definitely affect how attractive we look for potential transfers and recruits moving forward.

Personally, I loved our uniform combo at the B1G Championship game last year. This is basically the same thing with the winged helmets instead of the "O". I have zero problem with it whatsoever. I do, however, wish we didn't overuse the black combos earlier in the season. Rolling this out for USC only would have been 🔥🔥🔥. DanLDuck brought up the uniform-reveal Wednesdays running out of steam. I'd have to say I agree. The athletic department already puts out the fan color-scheme before the season starts. It would be awesome to go back to the days of the reveal being when they do the walk-out at the Mo!

A rumor that is more smoke at the moment but looks to be heating up is that VT has offered Sam Leavitt a Brink's truck worth of NIL $$$ to transfer. Franklin has already been working quick to snag up former Penn St recruits as well.
