Bo Nix’s Leash: How Long?
In the end of the day, the length of the leash is entirely up to the coaches. It may be fun, but pointless for us to speculate and stress over this again. Remember last year? I bet most of us were frustrated as heck to see AB in all the games the whole time, especially the bowl game. But what do we know?

Five Teams Creating Havoc to Playoffs...Ducks Play Two
That's what SC/UCLA are selling... By comparison, Furd's trip is shorter. 😀 BTW, my wife and I are hoping to make the same short trip to watch this game, if the airlines cooperate. Last chance before our daughter graduates from ND!

Marcus Mariota Makes His Way With The Falcons
Here is hoping that MM stays upright. As long as he does, he s/b successful. Sure makes my Sundays a lot more fun this fall, watching him and Herb. Great time to be a Duck!

5-Star QB Dante Moore to Oregon!
Yep, I wonder how TT feels about this, esp. if he doesn't get to start this year. Oh boy, I feel bad for him - wasted talent no thanks to Mario...

Notre Dame's Most Likely Option (and preference) is to Remain Independent in Football
I agree that ND will stay independent. There is more $ for them in the current system. Each time they make the playoff, they get to keep all the $ instead of sharing with conf members. And they have made it twice already. Same with bowl games. Imagine that. Plus they have their own TV deal with NBC... If ND stays independent, I think it improves the chance of B1G admitting UO and UW, if nothing else, to help with scheduling for USC and UCLA.

Oregon and Washington....Would You Agree With This?
What I read today is if ND goes to B1G, then B1G will likely invite Stanford coz that would be what ND wants due to their rivalry... So if ND joins (I doubt), then OBD will have to figure something else out...

Where Are the Ducks In Study of Largest Fan Bases?
Not sure I would give this much credit since it ranked Oregon ahead of Alabama? Really? I love OBD, but...

Two Potential Pac-12 Trap Games For the Ducks
The Civil War will always be a trap game, that's for sure, especially when played in Corvallis.

Is 8.5 O/U Wins for Oregon an Obvious Diss?
Speaking of the rodents, that's a probable loss in my book coz we play in their nest/lodge this year. If he can put together 1 good game a year, J. Smith will lay it on the Ducks, regardless of the players he got.

Mariota's Landing Place?
Cool. Hope to see him play more next season. Fingers crossed that he beats out whoever they may draft at No. 8 overall pick. Good time to be a Dux fan with 2 starting QBs in the NFL.
-
Y'all Going to the NIT?
No. It really is hard to get excited about NIT. Even if one wins it all, they are still No. 69 in the country, right?

How About Marcus Mariota Taking Over for Russell Wilson?
If Marcus becomes QB1 there, I will call them SeaChickens no more!

How Chase Cota will Help the Ducks
Totally agree, especially with DTR as QB and Chip as coach. That's my first reaction to the news as well. Will see...

2022 SEC OOC Games
How about the Reser Stadium? 🤣😜 Back on the topic - Looks like all SEC schools finally play one OOC game at their level at least... Kudos.

KT's Heart Questioned
Maybe KT is trying to be smart and learn from Herbert and Mariota - don't be a No 1 pick. #6 seems like a sweet spot?

Mario Got His OC
MC is a great recruiter for sure. Got to give him that! Gattis probably could have stayed and become the HC at Mich, no? Agree with everyone here that it seems like a stupid move on his part.

Sean Dollars In/Out of Transfer Portal
Think both Dollars and Benson are out, per Oregonian - "Their departures leave Oregon with four scholarship running backs and 82 scholarship players overall on its roster for 2022, though Travis Dye and CJ Verdell are among the players automatically entered in this year’s NFL Draft and have until Feb. 4 to opt out if they choose to return for their senior seasons. Byron Cardwell Jr. and Seven McGee are entering their sophomore seasons."

Ducks are Thrilled for Their Coach!
I love the graphic, but isn't it misleading? Looks like Oregon won the natty, LOL.

Justin Herbert NFL Career to Date
Well, Staley really must have hidden his brilliance very well last night - Just a couple of examples off the top of my head: Kicking FG on 4th down from near mid-field, while going for it on own 18? Calling that timeout in OT to help Raiders decide to beat you instead of settling for tie?

Will the Transfer Portal Make or Break the Huskies?
Sam ‘Taki’ Taimani, Washington Huskies starting defensive lineman and key transfer, commits to Oregon Ducks - oregonlive.com Break?

Surprise! Surprise! Cristobal Hiring McClendon as Offensive Coordinator
That's my thought exactly when it was announced a month ago. This guy is as incompetent as MC. In fact, may be more because the problem with our air game was at least partly on him since he is the receiver coach. Clearly AB was somewhat capable of long balls, at least half a game at a time, but it just wasn't in our playbook most of the season.

The Pac-12 is On the Rise
I think we should count Utah in the mix for Pac-12 to succeed. They need to take care of their non-conf biz and continue to beat up teams like Ducks (hope not...). They have a great coach who really can develop players and take them to unexpected heights. Furd could also be back with improved recruiting and their coaching. But of coz with Pac-12 beating each other up all the time, only max 2 teams will emerge and end up in top 10 probably. Even that I may be dreaming.

The Pac-12 is On the Rise
When you are at the rock bottom, the only way to go is up.

Ducks Beat the Utes 79-66
Would make a great FB score, LOL...

Oregon is a Contender for the CFP in 2022
This is the kind of talk that sowed so much discontent for the 2021 Ducks season. I agree we do have the aim high. But tamper the expectations though, with the new coaching staff and inexperience.
