Bargain Beaver Tickets: $1,691.00 or $273.00
Steven A replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I wonder how much they are paying the CW to air these games? -
That's right, just down the road/sewer/toilet you can pay either $1,691.00 for an Oregon State season ticket package or, $273.00 if you want to buy per game. Of course, the better part of valor would only cost you $129.00 for skipping the Duck (is it really going to be a) game. I'm assuming that with the season ticket plan you get swag/barf bags.

• BOWLING SEASON: The Pac-12 retained all the existing bowl affiliations for 2024 and 2025. It’s not a surprise, but the conference confirmed it officially on Friday morning. It ensures that Oregon State and Washington State have access to bowl games. It also means that the Alamo Bowl, Holiday Bowl, LA Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, Sun Bowl, and Independence Bowl will continue to partner with the Pac-12 and the 10 departing schools. How does the money work? I asked. The conference that participates in the game retains the revenue. For example, the Big 12 will get the money for participation by Arizona, ASU, Utah, and Colorado. The ACC will get the bowl revenue if Stanford and Cal make the games. The Big Ten gets paid if USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington participate. The Pac-12 keeps the bowl revenue for the Beavers and Cougars." Finally, so sanity from the Pacless Conf.

From Jon Canzano's column re Pacless Media day The Pac-12 is an easy target for jokes. There are only two schools left. They’ve been squeezed out of the ‘Power 4’ by no fault of their own. Gould’s strongest remarks came when she pointed out that Oregon State and Washington State had never in their history competed at anything but the highest levels of college athletics and still belong there. “Why is that even a question?” she said. BECAUSE THE EMPEROR HAS NEW CLOTHES, LADY!!!

Here is an opinion each way from Rivals . . . Gorney: FICTION. There have been some very difficult decommitments for USC in recent weeks led by Justus Terry, Isaiah Gibson and Hylton Stubbs. Those are three massive prospects to lose in one recruiting class and it has not gone unnoticed but let's not get too critical or concerned just yet. The No. 1 prospect in the entire Rivals250 – five-star quarterback Julian Lewis – remains committed. So do numerous four-stars and the Trojans have many other elite targets, plus they can utilize the transfer portal to build back at certain positions as well. USC took a shot and landed some major Southeast targets. It didn't work out but the class is not melting down. Smith: FACT. It feels very odd to say that the team with the No. 1 prospect in the country committed to it should panic about the class. However, this is a unique case. The recent run of decommitments is very concerning. Not just because Terry, Gibson and Stubbs are good prospects. But they are exactly the types of prospects that USC needs to get back to truly competing at a national level. The Trojans should reel in other good prospects to replace them. Either in high school or the portal. But there is something to keep an eye on. USC is no longer in the Pac-12 and will face much tougher competition on the field. The program is currently ninth in the conference in recruiting coming out of June where many commits happen. The team does have a good average star rating and not as many commitments as the teams above them. How USC rebounds from a tough June will be a major storyline as it enters the meat grinder that is the Big Ten Conference.

College Football Insider Drops Honest Admission on Oregon Ducks' Trajectory - Athlon Sports Sorry, I can't get the URL, or whatever it is called to link. So here is the story. College Football Insider Drops Honest Admission on Oregon Ducks' Trajectory The Oregon Ducks are primed to break out over the next few seasons. One college football analyst believes the Ducks could win multiple national titles over the next decade. On3 Sports' J.D. PicKell explained why Oregon is set up for a potentially dominant decade on the football field on "The Hard Count with J.D. PicKell." "Oregon is majoring in everything that is required for high level success in college football," Pickell reasoned. "(Dan Lanning) is not just prioritizing, but executing when it comes to recruiting." Recruiting is the foundation of a winning program, and certainly recent wins for top players have set up the Ducks for success. Albeit, Oregon has been getting it done on the football field as well. In two years at Oregon, Lanning has a 22-5 record. Every loss has been against a ranked team, with three losses against Washington and one against the 2022 national title winning Georgia Bulldogs. Without question, Lanning is maximizing the talent he's bringing to campus. In addition to a high level of play with the third-year coach, the Ducks could be set up to win the physicality battle in a bruising Big Ten conference. While Oregon hasn't won a national title yet, it's trending closer to winning it all. PicKell suggests they may not be done after one championship. Oregon kicks off the season against Idaho on Aug. 31.
