I Wonder How the "Meltdown" Fans Feel Now?
The season is still young, but when you have a reliable defense you don’t need to make desperate 4th down calls in your own end of the field.

How Tough Will The Dawg Game Be?
I read on Twitter from some folks who were there that he warmed up after Halftime and looked healthy. I think he was held out so that he would be ready for Washington and because DL knew that Stanford was done scoring for the day.

Non-Oregon Games to Discuss--Join Us!
Too bad they don’t give Heisman Trophies to TE’s. Bowers is certainly worthy.

Beavers vs. Utes: Who is Your Pick?
I think the Utes winning streak sans Cam Rising comes to an end in Corvallis. Beavis wins 20-10.

Funny Responses to Keyshawn Stating Other Coaches Helped Oregon
In defense of some of these pundits, I will say that the “Ducks vs. Them” video hadn’t been released before they started making their comments. Once the trash talk videos were released everybody has been pretty silent. They’ve all decided to move on.

Replacing Dont’e Thornton
I still say the SEC produces the national champion this year. They’ll find a way.

Replacing Dont’e Thornton
He transferred to a conference with better defenses, but worse QB’s (especially his).

Replacing Dont’e Thornton
It struck me that I have not heard much about Dont’e Thornton since he transferred to Tennessee. I remember being disappointed that we lost him and because I thought he would start opposite Troy Franklin and really make his mark this season. However, I also understood that he would be closer to his home in MD. Well, I looked up his stats and matched them with his two replacements (Holden and Bryant) and here are the results. (Note: I didn’t add Tez because he replaced Hutson, but he’s 15 for 203 yards, 3 TD’s). I think DL found some pretty good talent in the portal. Thornton - 7 for 89 yards, 0 TD’s Holden - 11 for 154 yards, 2 TD’s Bryant - 13 for 169 yards, 2 TD’s

Uniform Reveal for Stanford Game
It’s simple, but at least they’re wearing green helmets instead of the white ones they wore in 2021. Also, Beavis dropped their uni combo for the Utah game on Friday night. It looks like they’re going with the Halloween peanut butter saltwater taffy look again

T Shirt Sites?
Cool. I want to make a shirt that just says “Oregon” on the front and “Knowledge is Good……Emil Faber” on the back.

Ducks vs Huskies, Who has the Advantage?
I was telling somebody earlier this week that this year’s fuskie team reminds me of the 2010 Ducks team because of how they seem to score at will. However, the 2010 Ducks offense was foiled by none other than…..Tosh Lupoi.

Ducks vs Huskies, Who has the Advantage?
Washington hasn’t been tested yet this season and likely won’t be until the Ducks come to town. Their preseason schedule looked good on paper, but we’re finding out how underwhelming the BSU and MSU programs are. We both have what should be tune-up games this week. However, weird things can happen in Tucson and Palo Alto. At least they do when we show up. While uw has the advantage of their home field and the hype of College Gameday, Oregon has already been tested on the road in a hostile environment as well as having a huge hyped up week leading up to Colorado. My guess is uw opens up as a 2.5 point favorite.

Uniform Reveal for Stanford Game
I wish Casey would have struck a more animated Heisman pose. He did kind of run like the Galloping Ghost last Saturday.

Major" What If?" Scenario
I could see Oregon losing to Washington and then meeting them again in the PAC 12 CG if they only have one loss. If they beat them in Vegas then I could see 2 PAC 12 teams in the playoff. They could also put a one loss PAC 12 team in the playoff who doesn’t make it to Vegas. The loser of the CG would have to have 2 losses though. Bama has won the NC twice without being in the SECCG, so anything is possible.

Louis Vuitton Not Good Enough For Oregon
Great article. An alternative title could’ve read “Buffs Brought Receipts, But Ducks Weren’t Accepting Returns”. Anyway, it was a good performance. I wish Hunter could’ve played, but truth be told, it wouldn’t have mattered. Their players were outplayed and their entire coaching staff was out-coached. This has nothing to do with any individual coach. If you watch the game and analyze the situational play calls on both sides of the ball you will see that Oregon completely out-schemed them. They were chasing the entire game. My only critique would be the penalties. They would have killed a couple of scoring drives against better competition. I also hope DL doesn’t get too used to fake punts inside our own 20.

Ducks vs. Them…Game 4 Recap
Dan Lanning is taking a lot of heat for his pre-game and halftime comments. This video provides some context as to why he was so fired up as we all know that warm-ups happen before the pre-game speech. The national media got a hold of this video and wrote a piece on it. MSN WWW.MSN.COM

Oregon Ducks Favored by 21 Points Against Colorado: Too High?
Oregon hasn’t decisively put away a ranked opponent since Mariota was QB. BYU and UCLA were looking promising last year but they both scored enough in the 2nd half to make things uncomfortable. Then, they blew a 21 point second half lead against the Beavers. During the Mario era they choked away potential huge blowouts against Stanford and Auburn and snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory. 2016-17 should just be erased from memory. Finally, 2015 ended in the worst choke job in the history of bowl games. TBH, if I was a betting man, I wouldn’t count on the Ducks pounding a ranked team any time soon.

Which is YOUR Most Likely Upset on Saturday?
Keep in mind that Utah is at home and playing against a true Freshman QB. He’s really good, but he’s untested. Rice-Eccles isn’t a great place to make your PAC-12 debut as a visitor.

Oregon Ducks Favored by 21 Points Against Colorado: Too High?
There are many factors that could lead to a close game or Ducks loss. The big one is a major injury and the others are caused by a a lack of focus and discipline(dropped passes, penalties, etc.). Both are mitigated by good coaching, depth at each position and a little luck.

Yikes! Huskies Lose Another Starter to Injury...
Unfortunately, as long as they have Penix and their 3 stud WR’s they can beat anybody.

Big Recruiting Weekend
I don’t expect a blowout at all. I’ve seen what a team with an OK defense and great QB with a pedestrian OL can do to higher ranked teams. There were quite a few games Oregon had no business winning if not for Vernon Adams. In fact, the Buffs remind me a lot of that 2015 Ducks team. Lots of dynamic players but not great in the trenches.

Oregon Has an INSANE Backup Quarterback...
I know it’s easy to pile on the guys that left Oregon, but Joe Moorehead didn’t do anything to develop our QB’s while he was here. One only needs to see the vast improvement in Tyler Shough at Tech and AB during the Ravens pre-season to figure that out. Dilly was great, but his focus was on Nix because they had rapport from a few years earlier. The bottom line is TT13 has had 3 OC/QBC’s in 3 years. He seems more comfortable under Stein. Hopefully he sticks around for a minute or two.

Bryce Boettcher - Another Eugene Product & Surprise
He’s a great story and all, but if DL and his staff could sign a couple of LB’s like Roquan Smith and Nakobe Dean that would be pretty nice.

Sanders and Lanning Have a Lot of Respect for Each Other
They both have a few things in common. They’re both fairly new to D1 head coaching and both accomplished fishermen. DL likes to fly fish and if you skip to the 7:10 mark on his 60 Minutes interview you hear Deion say “I fish…and I’m fly while I fish”. Deion has actually won a celebrity bass tournament, so he can back up what he says.
