Some folks get disinterested when their team doesn’t win enough (see Stanford, Cal, Miami, etc.). They just don’t make the effort to show up if they feel the team isn’t making the effort to win. Why throw your heart and souls behind a bunch of dudes who just don’t care (once again, see Miami). From a national perception, Duck fans are the epitome of fair weather fans. You can see it on TV during home games. Empty seats everywhere except for a big game and even then the stands will have 25-35% opposing colors (see Nebraska, Tennessee, BYU, etc). Not to mention, getting outsold at bowl games by a 3 to 1 margin. However, the Pac 12 scheduling gurus can take some of the blame as well. As far as readers go, I don’t blame somebody for not reading about the team after two losses like the fuskie/Beavis games. Nobody wants to re-live those games in print or on the PAC-12 Channel “Football in 60”. Sometimes it’s best to take a week off and decompress.

The cruddy thing about this situation is that the majority of Heisman votes have been submitted already. I personally like Herndon Hooker just because of his body of work. I don’t think Williams is even 1st Team All-Pac.

It seems that Mr. Heisman had some unique finger nail art for the Utes. The sorry thing about this is that Fox Sports analysts/clowns Reggie Bush and Matt Leinhart were at the salon with him when he did it. It was all part of the pre-game show. Anyway, I don’t think the Utes were too impressed. It looks like recruiting competition is going up a notch. This dude has access to any HS in the nation based on his name. Just look at what he did at JSU. The Alamo Bowl is ecstatic due to the plethora of Californians who have relocated to Texas. They’re going to have a full house.

So….what? His most prolific offenses were with those two guys and he couldn’t win the NC. Then he went on to have offenses that never finished above 11th in the Pac 12 and a 4-21 run at Cal Poly. Chip Kelly was awesome up until 2012 and he has coached like Chip Diller since then.

VA and Kupp will do that for an offense.

JPJ will likely be starting Center.

I don’t know if this guy is any good. He was injured last season. However, he’s definitely on the all-name team.

Van Dyke must know that they’re changing OC’s. However, If they don’t fire Gattis by the end of the week then they’re probably keeping him. His buyout drops tomorrow and Mario needs to get to hiring somebody.

Thornton is the only guy who left looking to showcase his talent. He wants to be WR1 and get the majority of the targets. He’s overshadowed by Franklin on this team. Butterfield and Cardwell could be starters in the right situation. They just couldn’t get playing time at Oregon. McGee and Stinson will probably be situational players somewhere else. Some of these guys would do good to drop down to a G5 team.

Yes. Look at all of the WR’s from Bama and Tennessee who hit the portal yesterday. If they weren’t WR1 it seems like they hit the road. Keep in mind, we have more scholarship offers than scholarships to give. So they have to make some cuts. Many of these kids (except for Thornton) have probably been encouraged to go find playing time elsewhere.

If you consider 8 tackles and no sacks edge rusher-worthy stats. He did a lot better last year under the old system, but regressed this season. Look for him at Texas Tech, Miami or Nevada.

The recruiting contact period opened two days ago. He’s probably out visiting them in their homes/schools and trying to lock them up before the early signing period. Oh, and he’s probably looking for an OC on top of all that. Besides, what is he going to say that he didn’t say in that 10 minutes post game interview? I like that he’s moved past the season and on to the next objective.

Anybody remember this guy? He was once an Oregon commit.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him follow Seven down to The U. He did well in Mario’s system.

Chad Morris is the surest way to get Bo to leave early. He started Bo’s downward trend at Auburn his Sophomore year.

What ever happened to Caleb Chapman? He’s a senior, but he got injured at one point. Was that the reason he only played in two games or was he just not good enough? Seems like he is eligible for a medical waiver if he was injured the whole season.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him land at USC with a nice hefty bank account.
