If a bunch of Our Beloved Ducks came running out of the tunnel at halftime welding sledgehammers against the Fuskies, then I might have been a tad bit concerned about the smashing of the helmet. The concept of metaphor seems to be lost on the Fuskies. They seem like a rather overly sensitive bunch. Perhaps this is what 6-6 does to some fan bases.

No.12 Ranked Oregon Men Win at USC 68-60!
Desert Duck replied to Desert Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Altman: "It's certainly nice to be 9-0, but we have a very long way to go to being a really good basketball team". Altman said it perfectly. The word for this team that comes to mind right now is "rough." They remind me a bit of a certain Oregon football team in the first quarter of this season... The talent is certainly there, but they're rather rough around the edges. But the upside potential is exceptional. If these guys can gell like our football team has, look out Martha, because they could be scary good. -

Exactly. When Bittle scores 5 points and fouls out, and we still win, that speaks to the depth this team has. -

Keeshawn Barthelemy off the bench 6 for 9, 4 for 5 from the 3, 2 boards, and 5 assists. Yikes! -

No a pretty win, but definitely a gutsy win. They just find ways to win. 9-0. A very-very impressive win. -

Let's see if Dana is able to get them to make a second half adjustment. -
The Ultimate QB Sleeper Joins Oregon?
Desert Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
No, definitely not a walk on, but he was offered by Oregon very late. And prior to that, his offers were quite limited... as in I think Montana. His junior year broken leg took him off most people's radar, plus the fact that he pretty much didn't attend the camps. Regardless, best of luck to Mr. Wiepert. -
The Ultimate QB Sleeper Joins Oregon?
Desert Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Seems like we had another local QB who pretty much totally flew under the radar, and barely got offered by Oregon... Justin Herbert. Rumor has it that he turned out to be reasonably decent Best of luck to Mark Wiepert. -
Ruh-Roh! Lincoln Riley to LEAVE USC?

After getting his lunch handed to him in the Pac 12 / B1G, the poor guy just wants to go to any other conference. -
QUAAACK! Rivals 4-Star LB Flips from Miami to Oregon!
Desert Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Talk about adding salt to the wound. First, it appears that Miami is going to get deservedly bounced from the CFP. Then, OBD coaches go into Mario's beloved backyard and win a stud for That Team Out West. I don't think things could get any better. But I would love to see our men's hoopsters smack USC around tonight in LA at 7:30 PM on the B1G network. -
See the end of the thread with more coming later... ------------------------------------------------------------- The Oregon men are playing some exceptional ball these days. Hopefully, they will crush USC tomorrow night, 7:30 PM on the B1G Network.

We looked at going but from Phoenix to Indy RT, flights alone are $1,008 each. Plus hotel, rental car, decent tickets, food, etc, and we'd be looking at around $4k for the weekend. So no... that ain't gonna happen. Our big screen at home with family & friends will work very nicely.

Time to For the Big Ten to Adopt Las Vegas
Desert Duck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I'd like to cordially invite the Big Ten to bring their championship game down to the sunny and warm Phoenix Arizona area. Nothing self serving about my invitation at all. -
Just keep winning, Ducks.

"Miami coach Mario Cristobal asks (begs) CFP committee to reward wins" Mario is begging the selection to "go to the facts" when deciding whether the Hurricanes deserve an at-large berth into the 12-team field. Well, the facts are that their 10-2 record should be 8-4, they've lost 2 of their last 3 games, and they'd played a weak schedule. Miami Hurricanes 2024 Regular Season NCAAF Schedule - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM ESPN has the full 2024 Miami Hurricanes Regular...

The Rumors About Ryan Day....Whew!

I just like to welcome all the disenchanted OSU recruits to come on over to Oregon. We'll leave the light on for ya.
