  1. Novosad was a 3*, then upped to 4* after the season, Ducks coaches seem to have a good eye for talent, and developing...this is huge. I saw one ranking of all time Oregon QB's recently and how they rated coming out of HS. (Mariota was nowhere near the top 15 of that list, Ty was #1 and only 5* QB we've ever landed). I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the #2 spot this season. Hopefully he and Ty both play against PSU and Hawaii...and more as we rack up huge scores with our offense, and our improved D creates insurmountable leads, even in conference games this fall. Don't worry about burning the redshirts, get the talented new kids real game time when able. Bo will be gone, give the worthy #2 QB max reps when safe to do so
  2. When did Nebraska last make a bowl game?
  3. Indoor football practice, Indoor Track World Class Venue and World Championships capable size.
  4. Less travel time for us. Unless we add someone further east
  5. Georgia will have a new QB, I pick the winner of the SEC CG as the likely 1, or tOSU and the SEC champ being a 2 if they have 1 loss. Oregon will win the P12 and be undefeated as a 2 or 3 seed, Clemson or GA or LSU will be the 4, but they probably won't seed 2 teams from the same conference as 1 and 4 if they played each other in December. Clemson, not sure they'll be better than 11-2, Notre Dumb won't make the playoff, nor will the B12. Michigan, I agree, not this time Jimmy. P12 will not get 2 teams in
  6. TMI. TMI based on the recent past. USuC will probably falter a bit, they always get over rated. Utah will be lucky to be 5th if the QB isn't back from that ACL. Mutts talent level will catch up to them a bit. Oregon can use this to motivate. I think the Duck D will be vastly improved this season, and the Offense will be #1 in the Pac if not the country at least from G5 schools. Can we beat USuC twice? (I think so)
  7. College has 2 lines...women's is less than men's, high school maybe?
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if we have a top 25 D. Our offense will score a lot, quick, and we may not be #1 D in the Pac, but out offense could be top 5, in G5 at least. On offense, we top Usuc in the Pac as well as the mutt dog perpil pooch GPA prowesserers
  9. I bet there's a lot more 1st team action when these things come out in December.
  10. I bet the D is WAY improved, which fixes all but the GA game last year. Tech will 100k people going nuts, Shough will be fired up, but I agree...talent gap... we'll have a week to tune up against PSU at home, O-line...we'll put up up 50+. Usuc at home...mid season, we win that. Mutts on the road mid season with a much improved D...we win that too. Utah? 13-0, playoffs baby.
  11. I would be surprised if we didn't nab several 5* before this is over. Chip Kelly, and current beavers coach develop 3* and have huge success. Mari took a lot of 4* and staff didn't develop, and had crappy schemes. DL and company get 4/5 level kids, and coach them up with good schemes, there could be no stopping us!
  12. I can't wait to see this D this year
  13. Mari Cristbal may be the most expensive buy out in history and if they go 5-7 again he just might be the one who actually gets fired after year 2
  14. Once a season yes! Diamond plate is old enough now to throw back. '94...yes. Joey years, 2001.. why not.
  15. Repeat Heismann? Happened just once. USuC will falter at some point, 10-2 would be the over for me. Rising probably won't even play all season, the knee injury, we'll see. Phenix gets a lot of love, deservedly, but I think he and the mutts backslide a but this year. Nix has the better tools all around
  16. Seriously, think about the beevs going 10-3 with very few 4* at all. Chip Kelly years our 4/5 ratio was very low. Great position coaches and coordinators for many years from Brooks to Bellotti to Chip to Helf. Now you see Lanning and company landing 3* they want, getting elevated to 4* after the recruiting guru's see them in a few camps. These coaches have the eye for talent, and the coaching part is the final key. I think they have it!
  17. My soon to be daughter in law (they're getting married Friday here in France, she's from Norway) birthday today, my daughter's birthday tomorrow, my son's girlfriend birthday tomorrow (they both arrived here yesterday) and we swam in the Mediterranean this evening for the first time ever, here in Cannes. Happy birthday America. Wore a green and yellow Duck T-shirt in the riviera tonight . Your BBQ sounds delicious Charles but the food here is divine. Happy birthday sir Charles
  18. Quaaaaack Threeeee! Beevrats are OUT
  19. If he develops and coaches these kids up and there a lotta future Sunday players, this offense will scare even Georgia defenses. And our D looks to be headed that way too!
  20. It's a little different system, kicker specific, and we've had some 5* before that didn't pan out. Not sure how Utah did it, or what they were rated, but them and UCLA seemed to have a long history of always having all-American punters and kickers. We had the punter that was a Ray Guy finalist back in the Chip Kelly years, but hopefully this kid will be at that level. Morgan Flint wasn't the 55 yd. FG every time kid, but was very consistent inside 45.
  21. I think the new transfers in, plus the talented '23 class and what we are likely to recruit going forward...we'll be really good this year and even better down the road. Only concern is QB next year, although year 2 for Novasad and anther 20 lbs,..could be ok, and probably another 20 in year 3...or TT breaks out of the shell?
  22. Is August really fall? Right now I'm wondering if late June is really summer...dog dish frozen in the mornings, heater on. But this week supposed to go 90's and just the thought of the talent coming in fires me up plenty. 9 weeks!!!
  23. There will be a couple true freshmen who will make a big splash this fall, as well as some of the transfers, on both sides of the ball. Defense in particular. Lanning has his type of players who fit his scheme better on D. I see a drastic improvement over last year, and the Offense will be record setting. Civil War game...Mateo sacks his brother. Your description of a pick 6 gave me an additional fantasy. Mateo steps around about to make another sack and DJ doesn't see him as he tries to flick a quick screen out to the edge. Short range snag, bobble, grab and run. Dorlus coming around pancakes DJ with a block as DJ tries to go tackle his brother to prevent the TD. This year is gonna be great
  24. All of these things are always so much built upon "last year" and hindsight is 20/20 but foresight is missing with these clowns.
