  1. If it's about the money then let him go: His head isn't in the right place
  2. I think I am going to mortgage my house and bet this scenario, what do you think? Send me a picture of your house...
  3. They said that one key to the game was keeping Oregon's offense off the field. Not sure that that's the way they meant...
  4. Penix might not be a good "wet weather" player...
  5. I feel good for Utah tonight; I hope I don't next week
  6. I'm going to have fun reading the USC home page tomorrow...
  7. I passed right over the word "undefeated": My bad
  8. It would have to be Colorado. You may not like their coach or their methods, but they've made the biggest jump from what they were last season to where they stand now. They don't have to beat SC to reinforce those sentiments, but a good showing would go a long way.
  9. The ducks just need to take care of business. Don't worry about piling on style points: Do your business and get the second team in early to give them valuable learning experience. Everything will sort itself out the following week when the Buffs come to town.
  10. BOmbs away! Would go well with the Dallas billboard
  11. People seem to be forgetting that $ rules everything when it comes to college football: Imagine the chorus if SC were to pass on another payday. Don't expect the coaches to be on board with a forfeit either, as most (if not all) have incentive bonuses which probably include playing in the conference championship game. -and- isn't a forfeit counted as a loss?
  12. I wish the Pac12 channel would re-broadcast that game a couple of times...
  13. Would like to see OSU, WSU, Stanford, Cal & Utah Grab SDS, SMU and poach another 3 teams from MW to re-invent the Pac 10. I've already assumed that both AZ schools are headed to the big 12. Failing that, have the 5 Pac schools go to MW: This would be a significant upgrade for that conference, and a chance for OSU & Utah to be the big dogs.
  14. Bottom line for me is that I will roll with the ;punches and watch the Ducks in the format that they appear in. One silver lining for me (if we go heavily into streaming) is that I won't have to suffer with ABC carrying Montana State when it conflicts with the Ducks.
  15. Wish I could have claimed credit for the line, but the guy was right when he said that coach Prime wasn't expected to stay around long: "He already has one foot out the door"
  16. "He's orders of magnitude better then George Kliavkoff".... ?? Sounds as though someone is suffering from a severe case of "premature speculation"
  17. the 194 throwback is OK: Just don't take us back to the 1918 uni's
  18. Contrary to what Hayward Duck suggests, I don't think Lanning & company will ever love losing or be comfortable with it. Rather, I believe that they will know that it will happen on occasion and will wring as much positive growth out of it as is possible to keep it from happening again: "Embrace the Suck".
  19. We spend months talking how bad things will be for USC and UCLA in terms of travel & playing at exotic locales like Piscataway, Evanston and Iowa in the dead of winter, THEN say that they'd take a seat at the conference table for less than full share. They are going to do what they want (regardless of what I think) but I'd tell the Big x to pound sand and stick with the Pac.
  20. My prediction... I rarely make them, as I am usually wrong, so it might be bad news that I'm predicting Oregon will win Harbor over. I think Oregon has the superior student support and "life after sports" preparation/support programs that will appeal to an athlete who (by most accounts) has good long-range vision and aspires to greatness after he hangs up he spikes & cleats...
  21. I'd prefer to stay at ten teams and play the nine other conference members every year (the old Pac-10 arrangement).
  22. I was doing some web surfing and came across The Canadian football league championship game The Grey Cup. Toronto vs Winnipeg. ESPN2 Now, I figured I'd watch a little of it, but was surprised to see that Winnipeg was about to take the lead on a Quarterback plunge. And who was the Quarterback? Dakota Prukop, Montana State QB who transferred to Oregon and played five games before being replaced by Justin Herbert. It's good to see him flourish after losing his starting spot: Good to see a former Duck succeed
  23. Although I am contrarian by nature, there is no way that I would back udub over OSU. Go Beavers!
