That Team Out West | Depth | Fall Camp Week 4
OregonDucks replied to OregonDucks's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I agree and hope that they do the weekly game recaps this year. As a fan, it's fun to get a peek behind the curtains and it can't help recruiting. -
Great Question: Who Would YOU Sit Next To?
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I wouldn't worry about flying as much in seat 4B (not because of Dabo)... -
Dave Bartoo, at College Football Matrix, says that the strength of schedule is least important component that the college playoff committee considers and teams with 3 losses have a very slim chance of making the playoffs, so there is no incentive to play top teams preseason. https://www.audacy.com/podcast/primetime-with-isaac-and-suke-d0695/episodes/dave-bartoo-interview-6bd70

Great Question: Who Would YOU Sit Next To?
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I actually think that Coach Lanning respects Coach Sanders, was a fan of his when he payed ball and they would have an interesting conversation. You would learn a lot about football/defense, if that is what they talked about. Seat 2B would be the most fun, if it came with a case of Coors; however, I hate middle seats... Who are some college football personalities that are missing or would be better than above? Some of mine are: * Paul Finebaum and Lincoln Riley * Jim Harbough and the head of the NCAA compliance department -

With the Ducks Playing a Potato, Check Out These Games
OregonDucks replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
And he didn’t want to play for a Mountain West team… -
The SEC should be forced to go to 9 conference games. I also don’t want Oregon playing these huge pre-season games. There is no need now with the B1G schedule, as we’ll play tOSU, Michigan, Penn State, et al, and with the expanded college football playoff - if we make it in we’ll have to beat 2-3 of these teams to win the championship. The likelihood of playing Alabama has increased with the expanded playoff. It would be great to get these southern teams to beautiful Eugene in November!

Herbstreit and Howard Pick Oregon As National Champs
OregonDucks replied to Ktmguy2018's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I love it. Seriously though, if we beat Ohio State 3 times this year, OBD may be kicked out of the B1G after the season. It would be totally worth it though. LOL. -
Herbstreit and Howard Pick Oregon As National Champs
OregonDucks replied to Ktmguy2018's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I completely agree with him. I’m sure that Coach Lanning and the team’s goal this season is the national championship. They built the roster for that purpose. QB is the most important position in all of sports. Without Dillon Gabriel (DG), Oregon would be a team a peg below the contenders, IMO, heading into the season. There would be just enough uncertainty with our QB to be a “show me first” team. DG has proven that he can put the team on his shoulders and win the big game (see Oklahoma vs. Texas game last year. He needs to master the offense, play with it, distribute the ball to his playmakers, make good decisions and be the difference maker in the big games and when Oregon needs him. -
College Football Chaos Begins! GT > FSU 24-21
OregonDucks replied to kirklandduck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
LOL. Sounds like watch a soccer match (aka football). If college football wants to bring in fans from other nations, they should have sent better or more entertaining teams… -
College Football Chaos Begins! GT > FSU 24-21

Not to mention the 11+ hour flight from Delaware to Hawaii! It’s far from the west coast, although I’d much prefer Hawaii to Ireland… -
College Football Chaos Begins! GT > FSU 24-21

I am rooting for Utah. How funny would it be if Oregon and Utah won their new conference championships?! Not bad from that soft, second tier conference out West. -
Plan in Place for Home Playoff Game? And Boise State?
OregonDucks replied to DUCKS4OUUO's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Season ticket holders are usually given the option to purchase tickets for their seats in the playoffs. I remember the Seattle Mariners offering all rounds of the playoffs including the World Series. Maybe that jinxed them… -

Many people are picking Boise State as an at large selection in the college football playoff this year. Oregon better be ready! -

LOL. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch...Florida State are some of the most arrogant fans in college football. Now I'll be cheering for Miami to lose their opener. -
Huskies Desperate to Stop a TE FLIP to Oregon!
OregonDucks replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon is also pursuing a Michigan TE commit. Four-star Michigan football tight end commit Andrew Olesh offered by Oregon WWW.SI.COM In the world of recruiting, nothing is final until a prospect puts pen to... -
So happy for Bo! As John Elway said there is a big jump from pre-season to the regular season and all young quarterbacks go through their ups and downs (even John Elway and Peyton Manning). Sean Peyton is a great quarterback coach so it'll be fun to watch. I'm sure that Bo will get a warm reception in Seattle for his first NFL regular season start.

Bill Belichick: Rookie Bo Nix And Denver Coach Sean Payton Look Like Perfect Fit WWW.SI.COM Former Oregon Duck quarterback Bo Nix is off to a hot start to his NFL rookie campaign. In his first... “Nix is catching the attention of legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick, who says Nix and Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton are a perfect fit.” “Sean's offense is a very fast offense," Belichick said. "They don't go no huddle, but they substitute fast. They call the play. They get up the line of scrimmage. And once the snap everything's moving fast as fast as anybody in the league so there's a lot of mental processing and decision making that has to take place in a hurry." Though Coach Belichick cautioned that NFL teams run very vanilla defense in the pre-season.
