  1. Some of us still feel the effects of a 11-1 Nebraska team being chosen for the championship game in 2001 over an 11-1 Oregon team. That Nebraska team lost by 26 in their final game of the year, Oregon's only lose was by 7 points in the middle of the year to the 14th ranked WSU team. Needless to say Oregon went on to destroy the team that beat Nebraska in the bowl game and Nebraska got crushed by Miami in the championship game. One of the biggest miscarriage of NCAA selection committee at the time, so not matter if Oregon wins out I will not feel comfortable till I see Oregon name in the final 4!
  2. What if, heaven forbid, WSU beats the Huskies? You can not put Oregon over UW because of head to head but would they move Texas and/or Alabama over UW and us? A bottom dweller beating the top team might show the PAC not as strong as people have thought and UW not as good as they thought. It would take a little luster off a win over them in the Championship game. So if they did move Texas over UW and we both win our conference championship then how can they move Oregon back over Texas? This think would the nightmare scenario in which Oregon wins out but still does not get in. Thoughts?
  3. I been going through scenarios that puts both Oregon and Washington in the CFP. There is an outside shot for that to happen, Okst beating Texas (Or Texas Tech), OSU crushing Michigan, FSU losing and Georgia beating Alabama, but not likely. I originally thought how cool it would be if the Pac-12 had 2 team in the playoffs. Then I realized, it doesn't matter, Pac-12 is done, so why care about how good the league looks for next year. So I hope we crush UW (after we beat the Beavers) so that no way they get in. We would ruin their last chance for many years to get to the CFP and then they fall to the level of the Minnesota's and Indiana's of the Big 10. How sweet that sounds!
  4. If you look at Bo's stats for his first 3 years at Auburn they are very unimpressive; 60%, 39 TD, 16 interceptions and we gave him a chance. I would like to think that TT might have had similar stats at Auburn. Being #1 in practice is very, very different then being #2. We all saw TT make a couple of very impressive throws yesterday, the one to Kelly for the TD could not have been thrown better. The interception was due to getting his arm hit, I know that Kasper was wide open and the ball went toward the guy who was double covered but I am not 100% sure Kasper wasn't the intended target. That being said, I think you need to bring in an experienced quarterback for the competition. If TT does not win the job with 3 years in the system (sort of, maybe only 2 years we cant call MC a system) then he probably will never be a starting quarterback on a top team. But not Shough, we need a guy who would play for at least 2 years unless of course Rising wants to transfer!
  5. A bunch of "negative nellies" (just joking), this is what is going to happen; Ducks win out and beat huskies by 2 in the championship game, Louisville beats FSU in their title game, Georgia beats Alabama in their championship game. Ohio State throttles Michigan so the final CFP standings are 1-Georgia 2-Ohio State 3-Oregon 4-Washington Washington then beats Georgia and Oregon beats OSU, Oregon beats Washington by 30 in the Championship game I think I am going to mortgage my house and bet this scenario, what do you think?
  6. My question is When do blue bloods stop being blue bloods?
  7. I believe that working with Bo for two years will be the difference for TT. I can almost guarantee that Bo has spent hours helping the quarterback room. It will be very difficult for a portal guy and come in and win the job before the season considering how much time TT has put into the system. But I will bet that DL goes after a portal guy to create competition. I will be rooting for TT but I know that DL will have the best guy starting next year.
  8. I could be wrong but I recall a rumor that Justin was offered the job with a stipulation about who he could hire as assistant coaches (Strong recruiters). He would not take the job because of this requirement. Does anyone else hear about this?
  9. The story about Prime and the Alabama job is interesting but he couldn't take hardly any of his players with him this time because of the transfer rules (if I am reading the rules correctly and if the job opens in the next year or two). How good would Colorado be without his son and Hunter? I am not sure. Lets wait and see as they get more into the season and the teams they play don't implode. I am impressed so far with what he has done though.
  10. 1Funduck & Fishduck, you might right. I didnt understand the context of the picture, after I checked it out it makes much more sense.
  11. I would love that to be true but.....he wore number 4 in college☹️
