I like the fact that we are not running Bo Nix!

Yeah, you don't need to run Bo in this one, so don't risk it. We don't need to run him much later either, just enough that the defense has to be aware of it.

Oregon's offense picked up right where it left off last season but I want to see how the o-line performs against an evenly matched d-line.

While Oregon's defense settled down after the first series, there have been some defensive breakdowns that they'll need to clean up.  Like what I saw from Jordan Burch.  Hope he can be a real difference maker on D and be selected in the first round of the NFL draft.

I was at the 2012 Arkansas State game. This is very similar. Hopefully, Ty plays better than Bennett did in the 2nd half.

Meanwhile the vaunted Fuskies offense has a whooping 9 points in the 2nd quarter.

I would love to see Thompson for the third quarter and Novostad for the fourth

Boise st up 9-7 on Fusky. Haha!

Especially since we can give Novostad a few games until has to redshirt.

Is Troy Franklin the best wide receiver to ever play at Oregon?

14-9 fuskies now. 😞

Anyone missing Kenny Dillingham?

Love him but there’s some guys ahead of him, (Bobby Moore, DAT, to name an old and a new).

TT is now in. Let's see if he does anything besides hand the ball off or go backwards.

Will Stein QB whisperer!  Perfect type of plays for Ty Thompson to use his talent.

Encouraging first drive for TT. Obviously you take it with a grain of salt with a deflated PSU defense but this should be a confidence booster for him to continue improving.

TT looked really good on that drive.  Made good decisions and put the ball on the money.  Hope that it has clicked for the young man because he has the talent.

Needs to learn to slide though...

Looked good and collected that first drive. Hope he can finally gain some confidence.

Ty 3-3 50y 1td

So far Ty is looking like he belongs. Give him some run with top weapons before going 2nd and 3rd string guys with him.

One thing that bugs me is that the Oregon defense doesn't have a single sack. That's very concerning to me.

Five observations, even given the weak opponent:

D-line solid with addition of Burch to take pressure off Dorlus.

Secondary still has tackling issues that need to be addressed.

O-line is the real deal led by JPJ with Cornelius and Conerly at the tackles

Insane group of WRs led by TFrank

Dilly who?

I'll add to that by mentioning the outstanding QB & RB play. Well said.

I should note those were 1st half observations. DBs tackling better now

True but he's an FCS qb, no reason the DL or LB's can't get him by now.

Austin Novasad getting some play time, that's good to see.

During the Mari no Cristbal years, games against schools like Port St would be like 45-24... not the score you should have if you are really a top 15 team.  This is more like it.

From my reading, Lupoi has always been a great recruiter but underperforms as a play caller.

I don’t look to Lupoi at all. This is Dan Lanning’s defense. Buck stops with him.

Tosh is a top recruiter...

Huge punt

I love Dowdell

Jayden Limar and Dante Dowell will fill in real well for Bucky and Noah when they move on after this season.

Time for power conferences to outlaw these games. Nothing but a glorified scrimmage, not entertaining, and really tells us nothing.

Zero sacks, only 3 tfl's.

I know Jacobs didn't play at LB, but did MatayoU get on the field at all?.

I think Texas Tech at Wyoming will be on CBS at 4:30. Might be worth a watch.

I'm betting the coaching staff is already gathering to watch and scout them out.

That was a fun BOdacious game!

Bo and Tez great young men.  Love Nic Aliotti!

Go Ducks!

After watching the entire game, I am not worried about the defense in the slightest at this point. They gave up seven points and 200 yards. I'm not concerned about the lack of sacks, especially in a first tuneup game like this. Georgia's defense doesn't get many sacks. Their defense is not designed to prioritize sacks, but rather to disrupt and prevent gaining yards. And, as was stated earlier in this thread, Oregon's defense was likely not unveiling more complex defensive packages in an easy win game so that Texas Tech doesn't have a full understanding of what's in store for them next week. Go Ducks!

Our yardage sounds closer to the back nine of a par 3 then a football game. Guess it’s good for stat stuffing, fan fun, ego puffing and the media. Sure we must’ve learned something from it. Just not near as much as the mutts up north did today by scheduling BSU instead of EWU. But an Oregon scoring orgy is always a treat, so how can I complain? Go Ducks!
